"Hi, I have a prayer request:So a friend is very close to my family and especially my mom is going through some tough times lately. If you should know, she lives at our house with her youngest daughter who's in college. I've been spending some time in the office in our house with her, and she's been having calls. I don't know about what they're talking about since they're talking in another dialect, but by the tone, it's not good, she sounded distressed. I've seen her at times with slightly swollen eyes and a runny nose, and also a raspy voice. She's been less cheery than she usually is. She also took a three day leave since I've heard her on the phone, and has been fasting. She never gave me details on what's happening and I respect that, I feel it's very personal, and I don't think she would share it to a sixteen year old girl. The last call I've heard was a few hours ago, and they were talking in another dialect, but she sounded very distressed and on the verge of tears. She switched to a dialect that I can understand and English at some times, but all I can pick up is something like this, "Dear, you have to stay strong. Just trust in the Lord and pray." After an hour or so she told me to pray for her, for God to help her to be strong and give her wisdom.So I have this request to also back her up in prayer. Thanks a lot"

Abba, You know what is going on in this woman's life, it is no mystery to You. We pray that You would give her the guidance she needs during this trial, whatever it is. We pray for peace for whoever she's talking to and ask that You would make Yourself known to them in the way that they need in the moment. Let Your everlasting love surround them all.

And be with Elven, encourage her in the Spirit to speak Your words of comfort to this friend and to be there and love them well through this time. Let her be a light shining in the darkness, a ray of hope and love to those around her.
