Bethan Corbyn's mother Alys swore she would never return to Birmingham after the death of her husband Lewis in a gang war.

However, the family has fallen on hard times and so she has no other choice but to return with her two daughters, Bethan and Elin, to the place of their roots.

After years of living in Wales, the three women didn't know what to think of Small Heath and their current circumstances.

Alys seemed stuck in the past, remembering her husband's death.

Elin wanted to make new memories while keeping the old.

And Bethan was nervous as she wasn't sure what was in store for her once she arrived back home.

But when she rekindles her friendship and starts falling in love with Finn Shelby, the youngest sibling in the Shelby clan, she finds her future looking brighter and all the more dangerous as she gets embroiled with the infamous Peaky Blinders.

•Um...oh yeah. Conflict between mother and daughter. Bethan prefers to stay in Birmingham but her mom is clearly miserable and can't stand the Peaky Blinders (because they inadvertently caused her husband's death)

•Speaking of—Alys has a death scare at some point and it gets Bethan thinking—a paragraph regarding Lewis' death is seared into my brain and I should really write it down before I forget :3

•This is a "slow burn" in the sense that we don't get into the show until like chapter 12 or something

•By the end of act 1, Finn and Bethan should be married and have a kid together

•Act 2 introduces a character named Dona who comes with Elin to Birmingham and they appear to be...close...let's say👀

•Act 3 the couple has two twins and I think that's about all that happens for them in season 6

•(Oh, and Finn doesn't betray the family this time)
