╰┈➤ Suddenly, a gunshot shattered the night, ripping through the suffocating silence. All eyes snapped toward the shadowed figure stepping forward—Chance.
He emerged like a streak of light through darkness, moving with sharp precision. His gun still smoked from the shot. The bullet had struck Azure's arm, forcing a pained hiss from him and loosening his grip on Noob. In that moment, Noob collapsed—like the crushing weight he'd been carrying had finally slipped away.
Chance stepped between Azure and the others, his stance firm, eyes like blades—tense, unyielding, and brimming with fierce determination.
"Noob! Get up! " he shouted—his voice cold, controlled, but trembling with a fear he refused to show.
Noob tried. His breaths came fast and shallow, but his legs buckled beneath him—drained and unresponsive. Meanwhile, Azure—the ever-dangerous viper—had already steadied himself. He stared at Chance with blazing fury, but the twisted curl of his lips formed a cruel smile.
Chance raised his weapon again, finger trembling against the trigger. Ready. Willing. Whatever it took.
But Azure—damn him. Didn't attack. He stood there motionless, his eyes cold and calculating, drinking in their fear like it was a fine wine. Blood dripped steadily from his wounded arm, each drop tapping the ground like a countdown. His smile deepened—merciless and empty, the grin of someone who had nothing left to lose.
Two souls—two worlds, two wills—locked in a frozen standoff.
Then, without warning, Azure shifted his gaze to Two Time.
And that smile twisted further—darker, deeper, wicked enough to send ice through Two Time's veins.
And then, he spoke.
His voice was a whisper in the fog—soft as silk, sharp as broken glass. Gentle yet deadly. A voice that didn't belong to this world. It was a curse disguised as lullaby, a shadow that could speak, like the night itself is whispering secrets into your ear.
"I...will come back."
Two Time froze. The words hit him like an invisible punch to the chest, knocking the air clean out of his lungs. Azure vanished right after as if he'd never been there at all.
But the words lingered—thick in the air, like a ghost refusing to move on.
The world held its breath.
Two Time stared at the empty space where Azure once stood. His breathing turned shallow and rapid. Memories—things he had buried deep, locked away—started to surge back. The nightmare he thought he had escaped burst free, flooding over him.
He could still hear it. That voice. Wrapping around him like chains, threatening to drag him back into the nightmare. The horror lived—clawing, tearing, dragging him back to the place he had fought so hard to leave.
This wasn't just memory. This was something alive. Something darker. And it was calling him home.
The darkness.
The fear.
That haunting laugh.
The freezing hand on his throat.
That voice—echoing endlessly.
I will come back.
It wasn't a warning or a promise. It was a death sentence. A vow wrapped in silk and shadows.
Two Time's body gave out. He collapsed. His legs no longer held him. Cold sweat streamed down his face, his hands trembling uncontrollably. The panic stormed in, sweeping him away like a tidal wave. Every memory was a blade—sharp, cold, and merciless—slicing into his mind.
That same helplessness. That same drowning terror. The screams swallowed by the dark. The feeling that no matter how far he ran, the nightmare would always catch up.
Chance's voice pierced the haze, distant and distorted.
"Two Time! Snap out of it! "
But he couldn't. The shadows had already pulled him under. His heartbeat roared in his ears like war drums. The darkness swallowed everything. Slowly. Relentlessly.
Then—a different voice. Steady. Calm. Solid like stone cutting through mist.
"Not now, Two Time. Don't fall apart."
Eliot—the healer.
He was already at Noob's side, steady hands working, voice grounding. Eliot didn't waste time. He pulled a few slices of pizza from his bag. The scent cut through the chaos like something surreal—a strange kind of magic.
"Eat," Eliot said. His tone wasn't harsh, but it left no room for argument. "You need strength to heal. Don't waste my time with your stubbornness."
Noob hesitated, then took the slice. The warmth in his hands felt real—like an anchor keeping him from drifting.
Eliot kept working, glancing at Chance, signaling for him to keep an watch.
But Two Time was still trapped in his private hell. He couldn't hear anything except the voice echoing in his head—Azure's voice, full of shadows and poison.
Eliot placed a hand on his shoulder—firm but gentle, a tether to reality.
"You're not alone in this, Two Time. You don't have to carry it by yourself."
But to Two Time, the world had already crumbled. His eyes were wide, yet lifeless. Old wounds ripped open. The blood was flowing again—not just from flesh, but from deep within his soul.
Nothing could erase that threat.
"I will come back..."
And as the ground shifted beneath him, as everything he'd rebuilt threatened to collapse, one truth rang louder than the rest:
Azure wasn't just a monster.
He was a living nightmare.
And nightmares—don't end that easily.
