Chapter 13: Time To Visit

Chapter 13: Time To Visit

Jungkook was confined to a mental hospital while Taehyung had to do a counseling session. It was to make them become better after the events happened to their lives. It was Jungkook's father's idea, Jeonsu, since he felt like it was his fault for neglecting them both. Taehyung was kind of under his care since Taehyung's parents were in Daegu, trusting Taehyung to be in a better situation.

Taehyung's counseling session was at Jungkook's parents' place since he was staying there with them to provide him with a healthy environment and make sure he would be taken care of well. His counselor would visit him to give him counseling that lasted at least an hour or sometimes more than that. He doesn't need to mind the payment because Jungkook's parents provide him with that.

“Taehyung, baby, it's time now for your counseling. You should get ready so you can eat your breakfast.” Hanyeol, Jungkook's mother gently wakes him up.

Grumbling, Taehyung sat up on the bed with messy hair bed and still sleepy.

“Your counseling time is near, at least try to eat some portion of your food.” she removed the blanket that was covering half of Taehyung's body to fold it.

Taehyung nodded his head while yawning. He's still sleepy, but he didn't want to waste the money they provided for him for his counseling.

“Good, go downstairs once you're done, okay?” she ruffled his hair before going downstairs.

Taehyung stretched his body and stood up to go to the bathroom to get ready. As of now, his life literally changed the moment Jungkook was out of his life. It was odd since it's been a while since he had felt at ease with his surroundings, but he couldn't deny that he was enjoying it. However, he couldn't help but pity Jungkook's situation. It must be difficult to be in his situation, mostly because he forced himself to get treatment to become a normal person. He hoped everything would be fine and they would come back to the normal life they used to have before.

“Have a seat and join us, Taehyung.” Hanyeol pulled out a chair for him.

Taehyung muttered “thank you,” before taking a seat on the chair.

“Today is a visit day for Jungkook, would you like to come with us to visit him? It's okay if you don't want to, you have classes to attend, right?” Hanyeol asked after sitting beside her husband.

They were given at least 3 days a week to visit Jungkook to make sure he was getting the right treatment. And Taehyung was shifted to homeschool due to obvious reasons.

“Sure,” Taehyung responded. “I wouldn't be busy, I only have afternoon classes to attend.” he added.

“That's good, I'm sure Jungkook would love to see you.” Hanyeol giggled. “How about you, Hon? Are you going with us?” she questioned her husband.

“I couldn't do it today, I'm sorry. Maybe next time, I'm busy with my work.” Jeonsu replied after drinking his coffee.

“How unfortunate, but that's fine.” Hanyeol uttered.

“I'm going now, just update me about his treatment.” Jeonsu stood up from his seat while wiping his mouth. “And you, Taehyung, you go meet your counselor once you're done, she's waiting for you.” he told Taehyung.

Taehyung nodded his head in response.

“See you later.” he pecked her wife's lips before leaving them alone.

“Enjoy the food,” She smiled at Taehyung and Taehyung smiled back.

His counseling session ended quicker than he expected. He was comfortable with his counselor because she was very good at making their conversation flow comfortably, and she would make sure not to pressure him with her questions and would give him helpful advice, which, for some reason, Taehyung understood very well.

“Oh, your counseling session ended?” Taehyung nodded his head when Hanyeol questioned him. “Then, are you ready to leave now?” she asked him.

“Yes,” Taehyung slightly smiled.

“Come on then, the driver was waiting for us.” Hanyeol seemed to be delighted seeing him smile.

They later arrived at the mental hospital where Jungkook was confined.

“As of now, the patient is doing fine, and his behavior is improving as well. We're observing him carefully to make sure to give him the right treatment that would help him continue his improvement.” Dr. Yebo stated while they were walking to go to Jungkook's room.

“Is there something we should avoid?” Hanyeol asked him.

“Well, I don't think there's none. As I mentioned, he's recovering very quickly and well. I just think he doesn't like to have a conversation; he's a quiet one, but he would talk if someone initiated to talk to him first.” Dr. Yebo then opened the door of Jungkook's room.

The moment the door opened, they saw Jungkook quietly sitting on the bed while staring at the wall. He turned his head around, and his emotionless eyes were now filled with emotion when his eyes landed on Taehyung. A smile formed on his lips when he stood up and ran toward Taehyung, hugging him by his waits and pulling him closer.

“I've been waiting for you, I missed you so much.” Jungkook snuggled his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck, seeking the comfort and warmth of Taehyung.

“I'm sorry,” that was the only word that came out of Taehyung's mouth.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook, but a kiss came without warning—gentle but charged with a hunger that made Taehyung’s heart pound. His breath hitched, his eyes wide in surprise as Jungkook’s lips moved against his own, coaxing, almost pleading.

Taehyung froze for a moment, his hands suspended in the air as his mind raced to process what was happening. But the warmth of Jungkook’s lips, the way he lingered with both restraint and longing, began to melt away his hesitation. Slowly, cautiously, Taehyung kissed him back. His fists, trembling with uncertainty, reached out and clutched at Jungkook’s shirt, holding on as if he might slip away if he let go.

“I guess we should give them some space for a moment,” Hanyeol whispered to Dr. Yebo, who awkwardly smiled.

They both close the door and take their leave to make sure not to interrupt the two in the meantime.
