Chapter 4: What's wrong with you?
When Taehyung came back to his senses after crying for hours, the door of his room was opened, and not to his surprise, he saw Jungkook coming inside.
"What's wrong with you?" Jungkook asked looking at him.
Taehyung didn't hesitate to stand up and hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, it's all my fault why you are like this. I shouldn't bring you to that place. You shouldn't meet that monster at that time. I'm so sorry." Taehyung cried while hugging him.
He didn't expect Jungkook will caress his hair. But he can't help feeling scared for some reason.
"Shush, you're already forgiven, all I need you to do is to stay with me, okay? Don't you ever dare try to escape from me, hyung. I won't like that." Obviously, Jungkook will say that.
He pulled away from the hug and suddenly, Jungkook grabbed his jaw using his one hand and making Taehyung look at him. Taehyung swallowed hard while looking at him with fear lace in his eyes.
"You don't need to say sorry, hyung. You know I can't get mad at you for that long. You know how much I love you, hyung. I treasured you a lot more than anyone else." Jungkook was smiling but it creeps Taehyung.
He gulped when Jungkook connected their forehead and can feel the younger boy's warm minty breath on his lips.
"So do the same thing, hyung. I will promise you that I will get rid of everything that will interfere between us." Jungkook whispered with a hint of seriousness and creepiness in his tone.
He pulled away making Taehyung frozen in his place.
"Get ready now, we have to leave." Jungkook coldly said and turned around to leave.
Taehyung wiped off his tears, ran inside his bathroom, and washed his face. He knew his face will be obvious that he just cried but he can't miss going to his safe place.
After the drama, they were currently walking in the hallway. Jungkook was simply reading not bothering to look to his way knowing everyone will not block him. Taehyung was just following behind him still quiet.
"Let's in the cafeteria later." Jungkook told him making him go back to his senses.
"Yeah" Taehyung responded in a hushed tone.
They parted ways while Taehyung went inside the classroom.
"What's wrong? Did he make you cry? What did that bastard do to you?" Jimin asked him with a worried lace in his tone.
"Nothing, I'm fine." Taehyung smiled forcefully.
"Taehyung, don't lie to me! What did he do to you?!" Jimin was serious.
His tone was harsher than his common tone.
"It's seriously nothing, it's my fault and I just remembered something that's why." Taehyung told him.
"Taehyung"
"Trust me hyung, Jungkook didn't do anything. Please, let's not talk about this, I'm tired." Taehyung sighed and sat down in his seat.
Jimin just watched him in silence while Taehyung kind of ignored him and his concerns.

Taehyung was in the school supply store, he was with his classmates. Jungkook knew about it because he told him earlier that it was important for their project. He and his classmates were looking for materials needed for their project. He was looking for books that will help them to answer the question given by their teachers.
"Taehyung, here are the materials needed can you pay for them for us?" Gio, his classmate asked him.
"Yeah, sure." Taehyung responded.
He took them all and went to the cashier to scan the prize while Taehyung was getting his money in his pocket.
"46,000 won."
Taehyung came to halt when he heard that voice. He was sure he heard this voice before. He looked at the cashier in front of him but the cashier was busy packing the school supply.
"Are you going to pay for it, boy?"
When the cashier looked up, Taehyung froze in his place. The cashier's face was so familiar to him. His heart was beating so fast. He can't be wrong, this face was Jungkook's kidnapper. He was sure of it, the scar on the man's eyes was the proof, and the voice too.
"Boy, do you hear me? Are you going to pay or not?" The cashier asked him again.
Taehyung swallowed hard before he spoke.
"Y—yes, I will just wait a moment.", Taehyung replied and took out his money.
He paid for the materials and put the money on the counter but the cashier's hand touched his hands. He immediately pulled it back and looked at the cashier who seemed didn't notice it. He just thinks it was a mere mistake that's why he also ignored it.
"Here."
The cashier handed him the plastic bag but when he held it he was sure the cashier holds onto it tightly.
"Next time you should be attentive if you don't want to lose something or maybe someone." The cashier smiled.
But Taehyung felt uneasy with that smile. It wasn't the common smile but more likely the creepy one. It sends a shiver down Taehyung's spine. He felt he was frozen in his place, he doesn't know what he should do.
"Taehyung, what you took long? Are you done? Let's go."
He was relieved when Gio came inside and the cashier finally let it go. Taehyung didn't bother to say thank you to the cashier. Gio shrugged off his shoulders and followed Taehyung outside.
"Taehyung, are you okay?"
When Gio touched Taehyung's shoulder, Taehyung dramatically flinched causing the others to get confused about his actions.
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" Gio asked confusedly.
"Y—y—yes, I'm fine." Taehyung tried to hide his fear but it was obvious in his tone.
"Okay, if that's what you say." Gio just act like he didn't notice it.
"Let's go now and finish our project." Taehyung uttered and walked faster.
"Is he okay?" Michelle asked one of Taehyung's members.
"Obviously not." Gio sighed.
"What happened to him? Is there something that happened inside?" Anna asked.
"I don't know, why are you guys asking me? Let's just get going so we can finish the project early."
Gio shook his head and they all followed Taehyung back to the University.
