We Three Guys

Three old guys in a rental car

trunk full of luggage and traveling far

can't dilly dally o'er hill and valley

but don't know just where we are

Oh - ohhhhh

Car didn't come with GPS

the direction we take will be a guess

road map dated goal belated

oh my gosh what a dreadful mess

Had a letter from Mary and Joe

thought we knew where we had to go

driving forever ceasing never

just spending all of our dough

Getting lost like this well who would've thunk

driving around with gifts in the trunk

no signs 'round for accommodation

considered just doing a bunk

Frank voted no he was still going on

got them an ornament for their front lawn

he was driving so no discussion

drove right through the night until dawn

Air freshener was the gift which Murray had brought

and lucky for us he hadn't forgot

with the windows all closed if we didn't stop soon

we'd all die right on the spot

Goldie's gift was a little more bold

a basket of dates all wrapped in gold

thankfully he was the smallest of all

and shared them freely without being told
