For poetry prompt - What we feel we bring to the pub

What do I feel I bring to the PoetsPub? 

Well, my hope

and my intention

is to be honest

when I mention

how I feel about

the works

that I have read

such a remarkable

range of talent

deserves respect

not something flippant

as has happened

once or twice

with things I've said

but when pushing

comes to shove

I can don

a velvet glove

and offer worthwhile

praise instead

so hoping that works

and my opinions

are found worthy

not as doctrines

but expressions

of gratitude

for what I have read
