It's Evening. The CID bureau is quite chirpy. No case is reported today and everyone has finished their pending works. The lady officers, Priyanka, Tarika, Purvi and Shreya plan to go for dinner, as they are free early today. Usually, they don't get such times. Today, when they have got it, they should cherish the moment.

"We should visit Hotel Royal Plaza, it's the best fast food centre." Purvi suggests.

"No! Hotel Rainbow is a better choice. I mean I feel that it's better." Priyanka says.

"Aha! Good choice, Priyanka." Dushyant says as he stands beside the girl, gazing at the other three.

"Toh aap bhi chalo. I guess you like the place." Priyanka says.

"Kahin nahi jata ye ladka! Pata sab hai, par jaata nahi." Purvi comments.

"Why??" Priyanka asks looking at Purvi.

"Because he's lazy!" Purvi says and giggles, earning a glare from Dushyant.

Yeah, not only Vineet,  but Purvi, Tarika and Shreya share a good friendship bond with Dushyant. The ladies don't leave any chance to tease Dushyant. And this teasing reminds him of someone, whom he misses a lot.

"He's a lazy bug!" Shreya comments and giggles.

Dushyant gets on his toes to catch Shreya, who's swift enough to run away. She hides behind Daya, who's walking towards the group with Abhijeet.

"Shreya, I won't spare you." Dushyant says and tries to catch her, but stops with Daya's voice.

"Arey! Kya tum dono bachon ki tarah lad rahe ho?" he says, though he enjoys their banter.

"Aapki biwi mujhe satati rehti hain." Dushyant says making a face and it only makes the duo smile.

"Acha, usse baad mein ladna. Abhi mujhe tumse aur Vineet se kuch baat karni hai." Daya says.

"Kya hua, Sir?" Dushyant asks, considering it to be some work related to any case.

"Kal tumhe aur Vineet ko headquarters ja ke ye case file submit karni hai." Daya says.

"Par sir, iske liye toh aap dono ja rahe they na?" Vineet asks his seniors.

"Han Vineet. Lekin ab tum dono ko jana hoga. Kyunki mera aur Daya ka yahan rehna zaruri hai." Abhijeet tells them.

"Don't worry. Isme applications hain. It will help you. HQ officials tumse zyada kuch nahi puchenge. You just have to submit it." Daya says.

Vineet and Dushyant agree. It's also an important task, being in the CID. Vineet secures the file in his hands, as Dushyant asks him. After all, they'd be going together.

" Par Sir, kal kuch hai kya? " Purvi asks.

" Nahi, kal ACP sir ko Pune jana hain. Aur kal ek new joining hai bureau mein. ACP sir nai honge, toh hume rehna hoga na." Daya says.

"Okay! Lekin abhi hum chale kya? bahut bhook lagi hai."Tarika asks.

The duo nod positively and they all plan to dine in the hotel Rainbow. The day ends on a happy note while Dushyant and Vineet are thoughtful of the job that's given to them.

In a flat, a girl is ironing her shirt. A smile is playing on her lips. She is happy that she is joining the CID team. It has been her childhood dream. Well, not only hers, this dream belongs to her best friend as well.

She knows that her friend is in Mumbai and now that she'll be working in CID, she'd find out about him. Maybe, she will find him in the CID bureau. Maybe!

Being a CID officer and serving the nation is his dream as well. So, she looks forward to the new day with hope. She finishes ironing  the shirt and keeps it aside. She then checks her handbag. Everything is intact. She is now ready for her first day.

She lies on the bed and touches the handmade bracelet  that she's wearing. She remembers that she tied the same kind of bracelet on his wrist as well.

"I hope, tumne wo bracelet utara nai hoga. Usi se main tumhe pehchaan lungi." she says softly and drifts into sleep.

Next Morning, CID Bureau.

Purvi enters the bureau along with Priyanka. Usually, Dushyant or Vineet pick her up from her home, since Rajat is away on a mission. She greets everyone, as the duo and Shreya are in the bureau. Freddy, vivek and other officers arrive soon. Shreya asks Duo about the new joinee.

"Ab tak toh aa jana chahiye tha usey." Abhijeet says, his eyes on the entrance.

"Han! Maybe she's late. Aur Mumbai ka traffic!" Shreya says making a face.

The duo nod and Priyanka calls Shreya as she has to ask her something. The duo get busy with their discussion, when a feminine voice calls for their attention.

A young girl enters the bureau. She is tall, fair skinned and black eyes, and a charming smile on her lips, make her look even more beautiful. She smiles at the duo.

"Inspector Ruhana Malhotra reporting on duty Sir!" she says and salutes to her seniors.

The duo shook hands with her and welcome her in the bureau.

"I am sorry, Sir. I know, pehla din hai aur mujhe late nahi hona chahiye tha. Lekin main confuse ho gayi thi raaste mein." Ruhana apologises.

"That's fine, Ruhana. It happens. And you're safe here." Abhijeet says.

"Han! Abse hum bhi toh tumhari family ka hissa hai.. I mean hum ek team ki tarah kaam karte hain, par hum bhi toh ek family hi hain." daya says.

"Thanks Sir. I am glad main yahan aayi. Ab toh mujhe pura yakeen hai, ki mera dost bhi mujhe mil jayega." Ruhana says.

Abhijeet pats his head assuring her for the same. Ruhana greets the lady officers, and in no time, they got along so well. Ruhana is talking with the ladies, when Dushyant and Vineet enter the bureau and inform the duo about the task.

Abhijeet calls Ruhana and introduces her to Vineet and Dushyant. Ruhana looks at Dushyant for a little while and then her eyes fall on his hand.

"Dushyant Shergill?" she asks.

Dushyant looks at her in awe and nods his head in affirmation.

"Haan, par tumhe kaise pata? Aur tum mujhe kaise jaanti ho?"he asks as he didn't recognise her.

Ruhana shook her head and hold his hand.

" Maine tumhe is bracelet se pehchaana. Bhul gaye kisne diya tha ye bracelet? " she asks.

Dushyant looks at her keenly and then at his bracelets. Yeah, this bracelet was given to him by his best friend, twenty years ago. Is it her? Is it Ruhana, his childhood bestie ?? He looks at her, and finds the same bracelet in her hand as well.

Dushyant wastes no time, and pulls Ruhana in a hug, while Vineet is surprised and shocked to see Ruhana. Yet, some fears are bubbling in his heart, and he has no answer to them.
