Chapter One:
I Can't Live Like
This Anymore Lena

Hailie sat on her twin's bed they had just buried their parents and the icing on the cake for Hailie was that she just found out that morning before the funeral that her boyfriend Tyler had been cheating on her with Vicki, who was supposed to be one of her best friends.

Elena walked out of the adjoining bathroom "What's going through your head right now Hails?"

The younger twin sighs "I can't live like this anymore Lena... I have to get out of here.... or I'm gonna go crazy..... I hate to leave you and Jer like this but for once in my life, I have to put my own needs first and I'm going to lose my mind here if I stay here right"

Elena nods at her sister "I get it Hails.... after everything that you've been through today not just with burying mom and dad but with they who shall not be named as well."

Hails cracks a smile at her sister's Harry Potter reference, knowing how much Elena doesn't like it but Hailie adores Harry Potter and has forced her sister to watch the series with her many times so she made the reference to get a smile out of her twin. "I can wait till morning though" the older twin nods "wanna sleep in here tonight" Hailie nods at her sister as the two get ready for bed.

Next Morning

Hailie woke up the next morning, got up, and walked out of her sister's room into her own she showered, got dressed, and packed a duffle bag.

She knocked on her brother's door before walking in her looked up at her "I heard you and Lena talking last night are you really leaving Hails?"

She sits down beside him with a sigh "I have to Jer.... or I'm gonna go crazy, It's only for a little while, I'll be back I promise... I just need space to breathe" tears well up in the girl's eyes "everything is just falling apart around me and I just need a break... for once in my life I am thinking about me, doing what is best for me and not everyone else."

The 15 years old looks at his sister, and nodded he knew that Hailie always put everyone else's needs above her own "Promise?"

She smiles at him "Promise Jer..... I don't know when but I will be back and you can always call me if you need someone to talk" she pulls her younger brother into a hug tears welling up in her eyes again. He wrapped his arms around her hugging her tightly he would miss her but knew that she needed this.

After a minute they pull away and Hailie smiles at him again "I'll be back before you know it, I love you Jer" he gives her a nod.

"I love you too Hails"

Then she walks out of his room and back into her own grabbing the duffle bag that has everything she may need in it and she walks out of the room and heads downstairs.

She hugs her twin "I'm gonna miss you so much Lena, but call me and keep me updated on everything okay?"

The older twin chuckles "of course Hails" they hug again and Hailie grabs the keys to her car, taking one last look around her childhood home well at least for a while.

She walks out of the house and out to her car getting in and sitting her duffle bag in the passenger seat Hailie lets out a breath as she pulls out of the driveway and makes her way out of Mystic Falls.

Here is the first chapter it's more just to give you guys a sense of Hailie as a character and leaving Mystic Falls, In the next chapter she meets Nataliya and things really get rolling.
