Chapter Two:
Meeting Nataliya

Hailie ended up in New Orleans, she just drove until she needed to stop for gas then after that, she grabbed a map and decided where she was going to go and she picked New Orleans.

She just checked into the hotel with the little bit of money that she had saved up from her part-time job at the grill.

The brunette decided to look around and get a lay of the land for a little bit to decide if that's where she was gonna stay until her indefinite return to Mystic Falls, she looked down for half a second texting her brother, sister, and Caroline, when she ran into somebody.

The brunette untapped witch looked up "oh my god I am so sorry"

The dark blonde looks at her in shock "Katherine?"

Hailie looks at her confused "I'm sorry, my name is Hailie..... I don't know a Katherine"

The dark blonde Mikaelson witch nods at her "Sorry I'm Nataliya but you look scarily identical to a friend of mine but..... there is something different about you"

Hailie looks at her even more confused "What is it?"

The blonde smirks at her "You have something inside of you something dark I can sense it you just need the right motivation to bring it out and I can help you" that statement leaves the brunette with even more confusion.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand"

The Mikaelson witch nods still smirking "Ohhh so you don't know? Okay well come and let's grab a drink and I'll explain everything to you..... that is if you want"

Hailie thinks about what the blonde said for a moment before she nods "Okay... I'm all ears"

Nataliya smiles and takes the girl to Rousseau's, she smiles at the bartender after he asked for their IDs "That is completely unnecessary you already checked our IDs and we are both 21" the bartender repeats it back in a monotone voice then smiles "that's right I already check you girls are good"

Hailie looks at her "How did you do that?"

The blonde smiles "In time my dear but first let's talk about you.... what brings you to New Orleans?"

Hailie sighs "Well it started with my parents dying two weeks ago.... then yesterday morning before the funeral I found that my boyfriend was cheating on me, screwing one of my supposed best friends, and then everything was just getting to me and I couldn't take it anymore so this morning I left, I packed a couple of bags and got into my car and I drove away... I ended up at a gas station on I-60 and I bought a map and here's where I decided to go"

Nataliya nods at her in an understanding manner "getting cheated on is never fun... been there once and let's just say it did not end well for him" she chuckles "I have 4 very protective older brothers and a protective older sister so yeah.... well at the time that it happened I had 5 brothers but we're not gonna get into that right now, I'll tell you my story later after we fill you in on the power that is inside of you just waiting for the right motivation to come out"

Hailie nods at the blonde "okay but I still have no idea what that means"

Nataliya smiles at her seeing a piece of herself back when she was human or well just a witch "You're a witch Hailie.... and yes they exist, I can sense the magic in you... I'm a witch too it's why I can sense it but the magic I sense in you is dark so you're not a normal witch..... the magic in you has to be Traveler magic once you tap into it you can still do magic like a normal witch but your body could handle black magic easier than a regular goody-goody nature needs balance witch and I will help you tap into it and I'll help you control it"

Hailie shrugs she had heard her dad talk about vampires before so she figured witches weren't that big of a stretch. "why do you want to help me?"

Nataliya smiled at her "I see myself in you Hailie.... and I want to help you.... you seem like you could use a friend and with me, no will mess with you because of who my family is..... people are scared of my older siblings though I am a lot nicer than they are 99.9 percent of the time... unless provoked then well I can be just as bad as they are."

Hailie smiles at the girl "can you teach me not to be a pushover? I desperately need that..... I am so sick of people walking all over me and take advantage of me because I am a nice person and put other people's happiness above my own more often than not"

Nataliya smiles at the doppelganger in front of her "of course I can Hailie... I'd be happy to help you with that along with the magic as well"

Hailie and Nataliya go back to Nat's apartment in the Quarter and the Mikaelson witch smiles at the doppelganger witch "All alright now I will tell you my story, I wanted to wait until I told you about your powers and witches before we got into this part of it"

Hailie nods "All alright then"

Nat smiles "Okay it all started the night my twin brother Henrik died over a thousand years ago, one of my older brothers Niklaus took him out to watch the men turn into beasts..... it was forbidden and I begged them not to go out but Hen wanted to see them so Nik took him and they attacked them and Henrik was killed. It drove my mother who was a witch to turn to black magic to find a way to protect the rest of us, so she turned my siblings and me into the first vampires, most people know us as the Originals"

Hailie pulls the Mikaelson witch into a hug "I'm sorry... I don't know what I would do if my twin sister died.... she is the only person besides my brother that I can always count on no matter what, besides Caroline, she's my best friend"

Nataliya smiles "It's okay because I can still see and talk to him.... they call it the sight, I can see and interact with spirits that are on the other side.... from what some of the witches that Kol and I have ran with it's the reason that I got to keep my magic when I was turned into a vampire because it's supposed to be impossible to be both a witch and a vampire but here I am"

We got to meet Nat here and Hailie and Nat are going to be best friends and the next chapter will be a time skip of one year that shows how close Nat and Hailie have gotten and then chapter 4 will be starting in the episode where Caroline has her 'accident' and then we are really getting into the story (:
