| Chapter 1: Willow Rain |

To walk and walk and it seems nowhere is where you're going. - my quote

     "I believe we're lost."
     "What should we do then?"
     Run! howled the wind.

Our parents decided that we all needed some freshly pure air from the trees of nature instead of the polluted city we call home.
A good walk to strengthen our bones and air to freshen our thoughts.
The only problem—the trail was unknown.
Unknown to us and it seemed like the perfect idea to our parents to explore it and get much-needed sunshine along the way.
So, we were all dragged to Willow Rain.
But pretty soon along the way we all got separated. We walked for hours without end and hope of finding our way out was diminishing by the second.
I know, how can you get lost on a trail? It's possible especially when that trail doesn't seem to end and returning doesn't seem an option; since we want to beat everyone back to the car.
It was Ayleen's idea to be the first one to the car especially since she wants shotgun. I reluctantly agreed only because I was starving.
We walked, jogged and ran to catch up to our other sister Irene, but to no use. We knew though that our parents were way, and I mean way behind us on the trail and Ayleen was very persistent in making this a game.
I told her it's cheating since no one was informed of this so-called game. That didn't seem to stop her at all.

"You know," I started, as a gush of wind picked my hair and twirled it around, "there is no way the trail is this long."
     "Agreed."
"We haven't come across any other hikers. It's deadly quiet." I continued, willing my ears to catch any sound.
"Right, but we have to win."
"Sure, let's rest first." I urged.
There was a solitary tree among all the cactus; a bench was just below it.
My mind was at ease as we rested and relaxed under the shade. Filling me with pure sunshine. The wind finally at ease with its gentle soothing motions comforting us and our minds to complete serenity.
Breathing in the calmness of nature's beauty, I allowed myself a moment of weakness. A weakness that would change everything.
