Chapter 2
-Ehi, Soobin! Wake up!- a nice voice called him, while someone knocking at the bedroom door.
Soobin woke up as if someone had pricked him with a pin, and looked arount disoriented until, few seconds later, he remembered where he was.
-Soobin?-
Oh, right, he woke up because someone called him.
-Iìll be right there!- he almost screamed throwing his legs off of the bed and stretching his hands over the covers to find his clothes.
-Oh, dear, don't worry. There is plenty of time.- the voice said, and then the boy heard someone's steps moving away..
It took him some second to remember that, like Yeonjun's mother told him two days before, no one would have tried to hurt him, there.
That no one would have scolded at him because he wasn't already up when they go to wake him up.
The night before, after dinner, he had asked at what time would he have to put the clock, and yeonjun's mum told him that there was no need to worry about that, because she would have woke him up.
He tried to insist but that woman was pleasantly bossy and had wanted hear no reasons at all.
Soobin rubbed hhis eyess and dressed up, tryng to ot put his pants around his own neck and his socks on his elbows like it always used to happen to him at the morning.
Then, always rubbing his eyes, he opened the bedroom door and was about to go downstairs when he remembered that he was forgetting his backpack.
Yeonjun's mum wanted give him Yeonjun's books, but Yeonjun wasn't exactlywhat they called a "careful with things person", so his books were "just a bit" creased.
For Soobin it wasn't a problem, but for Yeonjun's parentts it seemed to ben, since they insisted to buy him new books.
He had been in that house for only four days long, but he had never been so disconcerted in all his short life long.
The Choi were so... weird?
He never met people like them before.
Ha had passed something lige fifteen different foster families, but he never met people so... careful?
He didn't know how descibe them.
Wird?
Careful?
Polite?
Incomprehensible?
Alien?
He didn't know.
And maybe he didn't even care.
Because, no matter how they were, no matter anything, soon they would fin something wrong in him and they would sent him away.
As always.
Soobin didin't find enything wrong in himself. Nothing at all. And he was starting wondering if the perception problem was with him or with the others.
But, in the end, it didn't matter. Not really.
Because, in the end, the result was the same.
So, when he arrived in the kitchen where Yeonjun's father was drinking coffee, Yeonjun's mother was heatin' some milk and Yeonjun was rubbing his eyes as if he wanted to take 'em off, Soobin wasn't thinking about that anymore.
He just wishe goodmorning, put his backpack on the floor and tried to prepare his own breakfast; but Yeonjun's mum softly pushed him on a chair, without letting him do anything..
-But...- the boy tried to pretest.
-Nothing "but".- the woman smiled pointing at him with a spoon that looked very threatening.
Soobin opened his mouth to protest again, but then he changed his mind and closed it without saying anything.
That spoon looked very menacing.
But, in some unknown way, reassurng too.
They ate and the Soobin and Yeonjun got out, the older one still rubbing one of his eyes with an hand and scrolling his phone with the other hand and the other eye, while Soobin was too concentrad on the way to school for noticing how much creased that usally perfect-looking guy was on a normal school day.
They were at the traffic light waiting for their turn when yeonjun, still imersed in his phone, didin't notice that Soobin had stopped and banged against him.
He imediately fell down from his own world and goggled.
-Oh, damn...
-I'm sorry!
-Soobin, are you okay?
-I'm so sorry!
-Did i hurt you?- he asked in a fast sequence.
Soobin couldn't help but giggled.
-It's okay, really.
-Calm down or someone will think that you're having an heart attack.- he smiled.
-And maybe put away that phone. I wouldn't like you to run over a car.- he finished.
Yeonjun blinked two or three times, confused.
-Me...? Me to run over a car...?- he asked hesitand and unsure.
-You. Over a car.- Soobin said again.
-But...-
-Wake up!- Soobin shouted clapping his hands right in front of yeonjun's face, who jumped.
And again, the younger boy couldn't help but giggled, hiding his face behind his hands.
-You, asshole...- yeonjun grumbled, but he didn't really seemed displeased.
They made all thair way to school in that way, giggling like two cretins while Yeonjun seemed not able to stay on his feet in a decent way.
-You look like you were drunk.- Soobin objected.
-I swear that I'm not.- Yeonjun giggled.
-Sober?-
-Yes.-
-Well, you just told me that you're sure that you're not sober, did you notice this?-
-...
-But I told that you're an asshole before.-
-it was a drunk person's statement. Definitely not valid.-
Soobin was so used at changing class and school taht, even if it always displeased him a lot, he learned how to not show it.
Becuase showing it was definitely uselss, sometimes even unbecoming.
So he learned how to seem always pleased, always nice.
Becuase his classmates have neved did something bad to him, and enjoying the little time he had with them , whoever they were, was the best and smartest thing that he could do.
So, when the prof introduced him to his new classmates and then sent him to his seat, he smiled at the boy and the girl near him.
-Hi.- he said.
The boy smiled back to him and he imediately understood what kind of person he was.
Someone nice and fun.
-Hi. I'm Choi Beomgyu, the King of Chaos. Welcome to my Kingdom.-
Definitely nice and fun.
The girl seemed instead a little disconcerted and when she hesitantly greeted him, he thought that she seemd hadn't spoken to anyone in days.
Well, his new table-neighbours didn't seem bad at all and this was definitely a good start.
Well, i stayed up until 04:15 AM for writing this damn stuff (and without phone again), so i really don't know.
Anyway, i hope that you liked it so far.
