Oh My Gods
Just so you all know this does say somethings that happen in The Lost Hero and The Blood of Olympus. I won't spoil anything too important, but it does say some stuff. So if you haven't read one or both of those books you can still read this, but you don't have to if you don't want to know anything that happens beforehand.
I was just randomly thinking about The Lost Hero and the end and how Jason saw eirmther Hera or Juno cant remember which, in her true form and stuff. Then I started thinking about how seeing a god or goddess in their true form should blind you and stuff and I'm thinking we'll obviously Jason wasn't blinded. But then I remembered that he got glasses in The Blood of Olympus and I'm thinking about why he needed glasses. Then it hit me like a brick in the face.
Jason saw something that should've blinded him or killed him, at the beginning of the series, in like December I think. Then, at the end of the series, in July, he got glasses. Now why would Jason need glasses? I mean he didn't need them when he was at Camp Jupiter. Well, he should've been blinded, this we knew, but it's not like he just saw a goddess's true form and left unscathed. It makes so much more sense now, his vision got messed up when he looked at what's-her-face in all her beauty. That my friends is why Jason needed glasses.
