Ok, so like 1-2 months ago, I got a message from somebody saying they would promote me. They deleted the message. I didn't think very much of it. At the time, I had about 40 followers.
Suddenly, very many accounts started following me. These were mostly very famous accounts with several thousands of followers. I thought it would have something to do with that message I got, so of course, I would want to ask these accounts how they found me, because, let's face it, it isn't very likely for a famous account that has nothing to do with pokemon follows a pokemon account that only has 40-50 followers? But they were all Russian, Korean, Japanese, they were all over the place, but none of them spoke any languages I spoke (German, Danish, English).
Even if I tried asking in english, no answer, and I'm not very good with languages, even though I speak three and I'm currently learning Latin, I'm just not good with detecting what language another person speaks. So I couldn't know if they were speaking Japanese, Russian, some satanic chants, or anything else. So I couldn't ask in their language either. Keep in mind, I follow everyone of my followers back, so I got alot of notifications from these accounts. This was very annoying, since I have no idea what kind of things they were saying.
I eventually got to 100 followers. I was very happy. Soon after, though, very many of these accounts I have just talked about unfollowed me. I was really sad, but luckily I had some real followers, and I only got down to about 70/80. Even though it was a stress to unfollow these accounts, I was happy it was over.
It still kinda annoys me when I think about it. But the past ist the past.

But about 2 days ago, the same thing happened. It wasn't as bad as last time, though. Still, I hit 150 followers, which is quite amazing. I was about to celebrate, but seeing as I am extremely lazy, I waited. The next day, the accounts already start unfollowing me. Some of them are still following me but it's only a matter of time until they unfollow.

I want to just say one thing; I am completely fine if you show my account to your friends and tell them about me, so that they could follow me. But if you "promote" me to large amounts of people that have no interest whatsoever in what I am writing about, I don't like that. I want to cheer people up or entertain my followers. If someone doesn't even read anything I write and put effort into, and then unfollows me the next day after, that was just a useless follow, wasn't it? I only want true followers, a large amount of followers is no use to me if these people have no interest in me.
