So yesterday I auditioned for honors choir.
Yes. It is as terrifying and nerve wracking as it sounds :D
I walked up to my choir teacher and we went over to a storage closet thing down stairs right next to the band room and I was like:
Hey pls don't murder me in here thx
But she didn't luckily, and I got my music out.
"Okay well try to sing this once with the piano, ready go."
WAIT WAIT WHAT I HAVENT MENTALLY PREPARED FOR THIS YET- How does this song go again- READ THE NOTES STUPID- ah dang it we started..
So I failed epically on the first try
So I finally learned the song well (there was a weird note I was stuck on) so she started the recording. I had to do it without the piano. This got to my head and I stuttered halfway through the first measure XD
So then we finally got two decent recordings and I thought I was done.
Nope now I apparently have to sing the scale. Duh!!!!! How did I not see this coming?!?
So I did that twice
Aaaannddd she said she'd listen to the recordings again later and send the best ones.
*is nervous for the rest of the day*
Oh did I mention I was trying for STATE HONORS CHOIR?!?
No, I don't expect to get in, because all I can do is sing pitches correctly, my voice isn't exactly stunningly unique. There are people much better than me XD
BUT HEY
If I don't get in, oh well. Better luck next year.
If I do: WAIT DID THEY PUT MY NAME DOWN ON ACCEDENT?! Oh- YAY MORE STRESS :DDDDD
