Red-orange flames licked at Lilykit's nose, the smoke scratching her nose. She squealed for help, louder, louder, her claws clinging onto a small wet branch. Lightening lit up the sky.

"Help!" Lilykit called. Nobody came. Lilykit could feel the uncomfortable heat at her side, getting closer, closer still. She watched the flames wave in the cold air, the sparks flying and landing in Lilykit's fur, stinging and burning. Lilykit screamed. She could see the eyes of her Clanmates, watching her. She could see the other kits at a place of safety, laughing and playing.

"Help me, please!" Lilykit called. Her Clanmates ignored her. She flinched and began to mewl and cry as the fire crept up the branch she clung on for her life. Then it reached her.
