"I don't understand. You have powers?!" I look at Mum uncertain and shocked. "But how?
"Well..." Mum said hesitantly. "It all started with you great great grandmother. She loved gardening. She often took long walks in the field and if she saw a flower thatt she didn't yave she would dig it out and go home and plant it in her garden.

"One day she walked a lot further than she usually does. She saw a beautiful blue and black flower. Drawn by it's peculiar color and design she dug it out and took it home. Little did she know that a wizard called Meddenclar had planted the seed a few years ago. The seed held great power but he wasn't strong enough to contain it. He went to that field and buried the seed so that no one would find it but in a few days there grew a flower from that seed. No one knew that only a woman can be blessed with the flower's power.

"Your great great grandmother pricked her finger on the flower's thorn and the power was transferred to her. She also had the power of flight and she had the power of ice."
"Like Elsa?" I asked sort of as a joke.
"Well, yes." Mum said serious.
"Wait, what do you mean also has the power of flight?" I asked suspiciously.
"Raven, I'm a seer and a telepath which means I can read minds and talk inside someone's mind." She said.
"But what does that have to do with anything?" I asked but then I realized what she means. "Wait.....so you knew I had wings from the start. Why didn't you say anything?" I asked confused.
"I know you have telekinesis too. I didn't say anything because I waited for you to tell me yourself. I didn't want you to feel even more awkward. I know it is super weird when you discover your powers at first." Wow, that's amazing. So Mum can read my mind right now.
"That's right." She said smiling.
"This is going to take some getting used to. Anything else you want to tell me." I asked interested.
"Yes, actually there is. The power is passed down genetically and it can only be passed down to another girl.
This is amazing. My mum has powers....
