Ren's POV:
I was in line like all the other cadets, I stared in front with an emotionless face.
"YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY MEMBERS OF THE TRAINING UNIT NO.104! UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, I, KEITH SHADIS, WILL BE IN CHARGE. I'M NOT HERE TO GIVE YOU A WARM WELCOME! ALL OF YOU ARE NOW MERELY LIVESTOCKS, WAITING TO BE EATEN BY THE TITANS. YOU'RE EVEN WORSE THAN LIVESTOCK! FOR THE 3 YEARS, I'LL TRAIN YOU USELESS SHITS. I'LL TEACH YOU HOW TO FIGHT THE TITANS! WHEN YOU FACE THE TITANS IN 3 YEARS, WILL YOU STILL BE JUST FOOD? OR WILL YOU BECOME A GLORIOUS WALL TO PROTECT THESE WALLS? OR A MIGHTY CHAMPION OF MANKIND WHO WILL DESTROY THE TITANS? THE CHOICE LIES IN YOUR HANDS." Announced Shadis with a booming voice.

We were all in a line, I was next to a buff guy with short blonde hair and hazel eyes while next to him was a tall guy with short black hair with pale green eyes.
I can tell that they're both titan shifters by their smell and they're not the only ones, there's also a blond girl with light blue eyes, a girl with freckles and hair tied in a ponytail and a guy with brown hair and turquoise eyes.
Gin told me that every titan has this strong gassy smell and that titan shifters have this slight gassy smell too.
I wonder what kind of titans are these two besides me.

"HEY KID!" I was snapped back to reality by Shadis who is now in front of a short blond boy with blue eyes.
"Sir!" Saluted the blond boy, "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" Asks Shadis "I'm Armin Arlert from Shinganshina, Sir!" Announced Armin.
'So he was there when that happened... interesting' I thought with a smirk on my face.
"That so? A NAME FIT FOR A RETARD! YOUR PARENTS NAMED YOU THAT?" Insulted Shadis "It was my grandfather, Sir!" Says Armin "ARLERT, WHY ARE YOU HERE?" Asks Shadis "to contribute to humanity's victory, Sir" claims Armin.
'Heh good luck with that...'
"HOW VERY ADMIRABLE. YOU SHOULD MAKE FIRST-RATE TITAN FEED. THIRD SQUAD! ABOUT FACE!" He says that while grabbing Armin's head and turning him around.

Shadis continued doing this from one person to another, when he finally reaches our row he skipped some of the people including me and walks up to a guy that looks like a horse "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" He asks "I'm Jean Kirstein from Trost, Sir!" The guy introduces himself "WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR?" Asks Shadis "To join the Military Police Brigade and reside in the Inner District, Sir," says Jean with a smile on his face "I see. So you wanna live in the inner district?" Shadis softly ask "yes, Sir." Once he says that, he got a head bump from Shadis.
'Serves him right'
He kneels down from the pain on his head "WHO THE HELL GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO SIT?! IF YOU CAN'T EVEN HANDLE THAT, YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT INTO THE MILITARY POLICE BRIGADE!" After that he move to the guy next to Jean "AND WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? WHAT DID YOU COME HERE FOR?" "I'm Marco Bott from Jinae, in Wall Rose's southern district, Sir! I came to join the Military Police Brigade and pledge myself to the King!" "Is that so? Good man. A noble objective. But remember..." Shadis leans down to be face to face and says with a malicious look "the King doesn't want you."

After that he straightens himself and moves to the next victim "NEXT, YOU THERE! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" "I'm Connie Springer from Ragako, in Wall Rose's southern district, Sir!" He says while doing the salut wrong.
Shadis notices this and grabs Connie's head andz lifted him up "LISTEN UP, CONNIE SPRINGER! This was one of the first things you were taught. That salute means you're offering your heart to the King! Is your heart on your right side, shithead?!" He then let's him go once he saw a girl eating a potato, he asks "hey, you. What the hell are you doing?" When he got no response from her he shouted "YOU! I'M TALKING TO YOU! WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?" She gulps and say "I'm Sasha Blouse from Dauper, in Wall Rose's southern district, Sir!" "Sasha Blouse..... what's that you're holding in your right hand?" Ask Shadis "a steamed potato, Sir! I came across it in the kitchen, so I picked it up!" She says with determination "you mean you 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞 it? Why? Why are you eating a potato right now?" Shadis ask amused "I wanted to eat it while it was still warm, so I figured it was now or never, Sir." She say without stuttering "No.... I don't get it. Why are you eating a potato?" Shadis ask.
Sasha looks at him confused "Are you asking why people eat potatoes in general, Sir?" 'Is She for real!?' I stare at her blankly, she then cuts the potato in " half " and holds the other half in front of Shadis "take a half for yourself, Sir." She offers, Shadis takes it "half....?" He questions.
'That girl has some guts to do that *sigh* I wonder what punishment Shadis will give for her' I thought amused by the situation.

Time skip

After that event Sasha was forced to run around the camp till she drops and she can't eat dinner.
I was now in one table sitting alone in the cafeteria.
I was just doodling in my art book while drinking my coffee, everyone else were either minding their own business or listening to the guy with turquoise eyes which I figured out his name was Eren about the attack in Shingashina.
I wasn't actually listening to anything he's saying but what got my attention was when a guy asked him 'what are normal titans, like?' It seems to shock Eren since he has that terrified look.
They were starting to apologize for asking that question but Eren just cut them off by saying "that's not it. Actually, titans aren't such a big deal. Once we master operating the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear, they'll be no match for us! We finally have the chance to become soldiers. I just swallowed wrong earlier. I'll join the Recon Corps and purge the world of the titans! I'll exterminate them-" He was them cut off by Jean that said something to offend Eren.
After that they started to have a fight which fortunately ended 'so troublesome...' I thought while getting up and putting away the cup.
I was on my way to the door when "Hey!" I turn around to the one who got my attention and it was the buff guy with short blond hair, once I was facing him, he started to blush "u-um... sorry for bothering you but what's your name?" He ask "my name is Ren, Ren Ryuujin" I tell him with an emotionless face.

"My name is Reiner Braun and this one *points to the person next to him* is Bertholdt Hoover" he presents himself and his friend "n-nice t-to m-meet y-you..." Bertholdt stuttered out.
"It's nice to meet you too" I said blankly, I then turn around and continued my way to the girls dormitory.
When I got there it was empty, I made my way in one of the bunk beds and I choose the bottom bunk.
I laid down and I pulled out an interesting book that I brought and start reading it.
After 20 minutes the other girls started to show up, I ignored them but then one of the girls came up "hey, my name is Krista Lenz. What's your name?" A short innocent blond girl ask me with a bright smile " my name is Ren Ryuujin..." I say blankly "it's nice to meet you, let me introduce you to the others" before I could protest she immediately grab my and started to drag me towards the other girls "everyone! This is Ren Ryuujin, please introduce yourself to her" and one by one they started to introduce themselves.
After their introduction I went back to my bed and continued reading my book, after 10 minutes I put down my book, laid down and fell asleep.

The next day

Today is the day where we supposed balance in 3DMG, some of us are very good at it like Mikasa and some are terrible.
When it was finally my turn, I was lifted up in the air and I easily balanced they then put me down, I looked at the others and I notice that Eren is doing a horrible job on staying balanced.

*sign* "how the hell is he supposed to kill all the titans if he can't even balance on the 3DMG?" I whispered while walking away from the scene before me, noticing I was being followed by two titan shifters.
