The truth.

I knew the truth was being hidden from us, it was obvious from all the unanswered questions and situations. We were lied to shamelessly, to cover up the secrets surrounding us.

We were not idiots; we knew the stories they fed us were lies. There lies however, backfired on them as the more they lied to us, the more we dug around for the truth. But then that only resulted in more questions.

After the Venatio, I understood something, I would have never learnt if I hadn't come to Earth. Earthlings were just a set of poor oblivious people who had no idea what happened just after the tip of their noses.

That conclusion led to another. The people who hide things were logically at the centre of the problem. The earthlings hid nothing. My people hid a lot.

We were the problem.

All I wished for was the truth. For the complete and honest truth. At least, I thought that was what would help the situation we had found ourselves in. But as the secrets revealed themselves, as surprising and shocking as they ere not only tore at my heart but tore the very fundamental principle of the state of my kind.

The truth however, in my situation was a gift I had to earn, slowly with time and experience. And as the truth fell into place, I wished for nothing more than to not know because it was the cause of my insanity breaking. The cause of my personality chipping into something stronger.

But what I never knew was that there was a greater cause in store for me. One that in the coming years would change everything.
