"Yumi," Mayu-sensei said as everyone's packing to go home. "Please stay for a while."

I stopped on packing my stuff and thought for a moment. Did I do something wrong...?

I looked at the twins and they stared back. Yuuma whispered something to Yuuto as he nodded in response. Yuuma turned to my direction and mouthed the words:

'After this, go home or else...'

I shuddered at what punishment it would be this moment. What could be much worse than wearing a neko maid outfit...?

When everyone exited, she motioned me to go near her desk, which I followed.

"Why did you want me to stay sensei?" I asked politely.

"It's actually because," she added a dramatic pause. Dang, stop the suspense! "You've been chosen to represent Card Academy with another student in a Quiz Bee!"

As I've heard the news, I'm not sure if I should be happy, sad, or anything. I didn't bother on my emotions and thought of many questions. Why me? What does she mean by another student? Shouldn't they choose senpais and not us?

"But why me? What do you mean by another student? Why not the upper classmen?" I blurted.

"You sure have a lot of questions Kanzaki-san." She chuckled. "For your first question, you were tied by this someone as the brainiest in the entire level. Second, you'll meet them soon. Third, your senpais would participate a different level."

Wahhhh!! It just builds up my anxiousness!! I thought. She used' they' as pronoun!!

"Now... Let's go meet your soulma---- I mean partner." She enthusiastically said ands dragged me towards somewhere...

Was she about to say soulmate...?

"Here we are!" She exclaimed.

I looked at the door and to its sign. It's the library. She first peeked in and dragged me inside. I looked around and saw a familiar green-haired boy with another teacher. So my partner is-------!

"Hello!! I brought Kanzaki-san here!" She said with excitement. "Yumi, your partner for the quiz bee is Daichi!"

Daichi froze before turning around. We awkwardly stared at each other for some seconds before the other teacher cleared her throat.

"I believe you know each other...?" The other teacher said.

"Yes, we know each other." Daichi said, breaking the awkward staring.

"Good." My homeroom teacher said. "This makes the whole shippi---er-study session a whole lot easier."

Pretty sure she was about to say shipping session... I deadpan.

"So... Let's start!" The other teacher said. "Let's start with Math."

"So... Let's start with series of operation." Mayu-sensei said. (Sorry if it just seemed too simple! Otome-chan has some complicated questions in my reviewer from the quiz bee, but the problem is that there's no answer key... And I'm forced to solve them myself... ^^;)

"We'll give you 30 seconds for each question. Write your answer on the little whiteboard."

We nodded and readied our pen and paper. Dang, my hand's shivering.

The other teacher, (maybe she is Daichi's homeroom teacher), stood up and wrote something on a whiteboard nearby. We paid attention on the equation written.

5 × −2 − (8 − 12) + 16 ÷ −8 = ?

"Your time starts now!" Mayu-sensei said and set the timer to 30 seconds.

Instantly, I and Daichi quickly solved. Yumi! Calm down! And focus on the equation. I first thought of the rule, and quickly wrote down the sheet.

(5) (-2) − (8 − 12) + 16 ÷ −8

-10 − (-4) + 16 ÷ −8

-10 + 4 + (-2) (To be honest, when I first solved this, it was 10 + 4 + (-2), and then my teacher corrected me. It was -10 + 4 + (-2) and I was like, Why? I didn't notice the -2 and instead got 10. Lol)

N = -8

I quickly wrote the answer as the teacher counted down. "3, 2, 1, show your answers."

We both showed our answers, which were the same. Our teachers nodded. "Correct."

I did a celebration in my brain. Ha! Bleeee Math. :p

"Next question, (oh gosh, the questions are hard @~@ R.I.P Otome-chan)" Daichi's teacher said. "Take note: If x = ½ y = 2/3 and z = ¾, evaluate x ÷ y + z."

(The questions on the reviewer were like for highschool, and I'm not even a highschool student yet!! T^T Luckily I found this question which is much easier.)

I sighed. Sorry Math! I won't make fun of you next time!!

I wrote the solution first:

½ ÷ 2/3 + ¾

½ × 3/2 + ¾

¾ + ¾

N = 6/4 or 1 2/4 or 1 ½

I wrote the answer and the teachers came to check our answers. Luckily, it was correct.

We solved more equations as my head started to hurt. Another subject please! After 3 more questions, we finished Math, and moved to our next subject: Science.

"You may both team up in this subject." Mayu-sensei said.

We looked at each other and nodded. He scooted closer to me until he was just beside me.

"Okay, so what element, whose symbol derived from the Latin for "liquid silver", has been found in Egyptian tombs from 1500 B.C.?"

Mercury. That was the first word that came into my mind.

"Mercury." We both said.

The teachers merely nodded and moved on to another question.

I swear, there were a LOT of questions that followed after that. My head started to get fuzzy as time passed by.

"Oh, look at the time!" Mayu-sensei exclaimed, looking at her watch. "It's 7! You both should probably go home."

I paled. What would I say to the brothers about going home late? No, no, they'll understand, for sure.

We stood up, grabbed our bags, and exited the now deserted library. We walked in utter silence. That was, until Daichi spoke.

"Yumi-san, I will walk you home." He said. No thanks!

"No! No! It's fine!" I frantically waved my hands in an attempt to stop him.

"I insist." He said while giving a stern stare. "Besides, it's already nighttime. Who knows? Something might happen, considering you're a cute girl."

I can defend myself----- wait, did he just call me cute...?

"Well, thanks for the compliment!" I thanked while giving him a smile.

His cheeks started to get red. Awwwww, what a shy shy shy boy. (Who got the reference-----)

I started to tease him while he brushed them off aside. I didn't notice that we were nearing the mansion. I stopped and made sure to look like I'm living on a normal house.

"Here's my stop! Thank you for walking me home." I said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, yes." I insisted.

He sighed and went back to his home. When I'm sure that he got far away to see me, I quickly dashed to the mansion. Before I entered, I panted and rang the doorbell. Instantly, the door opened showing a worried Yuuto.

"Yumi-chan, why are you late?" I gulped.

"Where should I start..." I pondered. "Ah! Mayu-sensei chose me as a representative with someone in our school to compete Quiz Bee. We were studying, and Mayu-sensei didn't notice the time..."

"We understand." Yuuma said out of nowhere. I squeaked. "No punishments for you this time."

I hugged him without thinking. "THANK YOU YUUMAAAAAA!!!"

He blushed at the sudden action and remained quiet.

"Wahhh!! You didn't include me!!" Yuuto said while pouting. "GROUP HUG!!!"

He tackled us into a hug and we all were lying in the floor, getting crushed by Yuuto's hug.

Well, at least no punishments this time. ^-^;
