Chapter Nine.
Resasuke was nervous, to say the least. He had been at the hospital long enough for the doctors and nurses to decide he was fine, and let him discharge. Obviously, he didn't want to, but he couldn't make up excuses either. Besides, there's probably a law against that.
Unlike when he was in the hospital, nobody came to help him upon his leave. He knew he could do it himself just fine, but he still wished that even his mother had shown up to put him at less risk of Tadano coming up. And for that same fact, he was happy that nobody showed up, so Tadano didn't get any more murderous ideas with his family and friends.
Sighing, Resasuke waved goodbye to one of the nurses that had taken care of him as he exited the building. He felt fine, his head stopped hurting whenever he thought of Tadano now, which was good, considering he would be thinking of him a lot lately.
The red panda glanced around his surroundings for any sign of limos, purple, both, or fire extinguishers. He found nothing, besides the fire extinguishers of course. Taking a large breath he kept moving, heading towards the subway. He had no other means of transportation currently, and for once it was fine to take the subway. More people meant less chance of a strike.
Resasuke felt more paranoid than he ever had been on his journey to the subway, and even on the subway's journey to where he lived. But for now, everything was fine. No limo's, no Tadano. He made it home safe.
Shutting the apartment door behind him he locked it and sighed, going over to the nearest window. He glanced out of the reflective glass, studying the sky and his face at the same time. He wanted to say he was fine. He wanted to feel fine. But after Tadano everything got so...complicated. His emotions, Retsuko, hospital visits... Why couldn't he just go back to before?
The red panda rubbed his forehead in thought, trying to think about how this all manifested so quickly. How many days had it been since he felt this way? He didn't know. yet again the male sighed, getting up and locking all of his windows. He was tired but wasn't going to take any chances of weakness. Going to the kitchen he even grabbed a knife, bringing it to his bed and tucking it under his pillow.
Resasuke climbed into bed and got comfortable, facing towards the door. "I'm not going to let some sadistic donkey murder me." He muttered to himself, slipping off to sleep peacefully as false happy thoughts filled his brain.

Washimi sat quietly across from her friend Gori. But unlike Washimi, sitting completely still and content, Gori was quite antsy. "So what your saying is instead of killing Tadano first you want to kill this..this random coworker of Retsuko's?" The gorilla muttered, uncertain about her friends descicon. "Not entirely random. He showed some intense feelings of jealousy about Retsuko talking to other people. It seems that it'll increase too if we don't catch up to him." Washimi informed, picking up a glass full of water in front of her. Taking a sip of it, she watched Gori contemplate about what she had said.
"Well, I guess that makes sense. But we still don't know much about this guy. How much planning can we do to kill him if we barely know him? At least Tadano is easy to look up online." Gori pointed out, glancing at her own glass of water in front of her. Washimi nodded, crossing her arms. "That is a good point." The bird spoke thoughtfully but looked at Gori intensely.
The gorilla noticed her stare. "Uh, what's that look for?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as she scooted back in her chair ever so slightly. "Hm? Oh, well it's because I already thought of an answer to your question." Gori was about to speak after Washimi, but Washimi cut her off. "You're going to stalk him."
"Me!? I am a gorilla if you haven't noticed! Gorillas are not meant for sneaking around unnoticed! Why can't you do it!?" Gori persisted, crossing her arms in disagreement. "Well I would but he already met me. He'll suspect me. And while you give me the information I can plan and get things ready for the.." Washimi looked about to see if anyone was close enough to hear. "Murder." She finished, straightening her composure and waiting for Gori's response.
"...." Gori stayed silent, glaring at Washimi. Washimi sighed. "Please?" The bird tried, the gorilla loosening her glare. "..Oh fine. Only because we're doing this for Retsuko." She sighed, looking to she Washimi's tail move slightly in happiness. "Thank you, Gori." Washimi nodded, getting up from her seat and turning around. "I'll give you the basic information for when you start stalking tomorrow at work. See you then." Washimi then left the building, leaving Gori to think about her next move.

"See you later Retsuko. Take care okay?" Haida smiled, waving goodbye to the red panda as she waved as well, walking towards her apartment. "Will do!" Retsuko called before she was out of earshot, leaving Haida to himself.
Haida kept smiling as he turned and walked back home. Lately, he's been happier than he ever has in a while. Even with the mourning of Tsunoda, Fenneko being put in jail for murder, and just work in general, he was overall pretty happy. He had been hanging out with Retsuko a lot lately, which was probably why. He still loved Retsuko, after all this time, and this just felt...amazing. He could even see Retsuko feel happier when they hung out, just cracking jokes and comforting each other.
It was so simple, but it felt so great. If anything, he felt even closer to Retsuko than he ever had before. He couldn't help it as his grin widened slightly, even a slight skip coming into his step as he thought about the past week. As he walked on the empty sidewalk he shut his eyes for a moment, taking in a deep breath and practically sighing it out. Upon opening his eyes though, he almost fell back.
Everything around him was pink. Everything. Light pink, dark pink, normal pink, sunset pink, pink pink pink. Along with that fact, there were hearts everywhere. "Oh no. Wha- what-" Haida looked about frantically for any other color around, but there was only pink."Oh no." He had seen this stuff only once before.
Haida now sprinted, trying to run away from some unknown lovey-dovey tune following him. He kept running as the pink hearts and sweet music just increased in volume. Finally, after what felt like minutes he got home, slamming the door behind him and squeezing his eyes shut. He stayed like that, pressed against the door with his eyes shut tight as he breathed hard.
Only until five minutes had passed did he open his eyes, no pink in sight. No hearts, no nothing. He let go of a breath he didn't know he was holding, and slouched against the door, slumping down it towards the ground. He put a hand to his head, rubbing his forehead in disbelief. At least he knew that wasn't real. Only his feelings were real.
Because the only time he had seen and felt this way so intensely before was when he first became friends with Retsuko. "Hehe.." He mumbled nervously to himself, staring at the ceiling. "So I guess I really am in love with Retsuko huh?" He asked to no one, shaking his head in more shock. He was happy, he was in love, but he was also extremely nervous and slightly terrified. He couldn't exactly pinpoint that last emotion, but he felt it was there for good reason.
Sighing again he shut his eyes, smiling now. 'I'm in love...again. I forgot how great it felt..' The hyena thought, his smile growing. 'I want to feel this way forever..and maybe this time...' He looked through his memories of him and Retsuko from the past week, replaying a few he really liked. 'Maybe it'll stay that way...'
(Uh, I hope you enjoyed, I decided to try that heart scenario that Retsuko gets on Haida. Please tell me if you think I did a good job with it, I'd love to hear what you think. Anyway, have a good day or night!)
