Chapter two.
It was Friday.
Retsuko was just finishing up work and about to leave, ready to hang out with Fenneko when she was stopped. Not by the most unexpected person, mind you, but one Retsuko hadn't talked with for awhile. Tsunoda.
"Heeeey there Retsuko!~" The deer chimed, fluttering her lashes a bit. They looked bigger than usual, somehow. "Oh, hey Tsunoda." Retsuko sighed but put on a smile anyway. Yeah, she was about to leave, but she had some time. "So I was wondering, where do you get your shampoo from?" Tsunoda tilted her head innocently, as if that was a normal question. "Um...What?" Retsuko's face contorted into a look of confusion. "Well all day you've just been smelling wonderful! Like...roses, maybe? I wanted to know where I can get some!" She fluttered her lashes again and smiled wider, inching towards Retsuko a bit.
"Oh! Oh that makes sense.." Retsuko chuckled nervously, scratching her head. "Honestly, I can't remember, sorry. Those were a gift from my mom last Christmas." Retsuko smiled again, more apologetically. "Oh..." Tsunoda's smile dropped slightly before she quickly fixed it back into a smile again. "That's okay, thank you anyway! Now, bye bye Retsuko!" With that the deer skipped down the hall, leaving Retsuko to go on her way.
When Retsuko was out of sight, Tsunoda stopped skipping, now just standing in the middle of the hallway. She pulled out her phone and scrolled through her photos, stopping on one with a familiar red panda washing her fur. She zoomed in on it, focusing on a pink shampoo bottle and reading the label.
She never had to ask Retsuko, really, she had all the info she needed right here. But why pass up an opportunity to talk to the cutest red panda in the world?

Fenneko tapped her foot impatiently on the ground, looking at the time on her phone. 'I should of waited with Retsuko inside....Someone could be with her right now, keeping her from getting here...Maybe she got stopped by Ton, maybe she got injured! That's it, I'm going to check on-' Fenneko's train of thought got interrupted as Retsuko exited the elevator, glancing around before landing her eyes on Fenneko and walking over.
Fenneko sighed in relief. 'She's fine. Of course she is. Retsuko's a tough one.' Retsuko then proceeded to trip and fall on her face, standing up a moment after and rubbing her cheek. Fenneko couldn't help but laugh as she walked over to Retsuko, holding her phone and snapping a picture of her.
As they kept walking and talked about where to go first, two more people arrived on the scene. One was Tsunoda, quietly following the pair from a distance with her phone already snapping photos.
The second one was an unexpected face, watching Retsuko from the window of his limo. Tadano.
"Eni-o, why did I not want to marry Retsuko?" Tadano asked the Ai, his gaze not moving from the window. "It could be from you psychological belief that-" Eni-o started, but was interrupted. " Short answers, Eni-o." Tadano hissed, a bit annoyed. "But never mind." Tadano sighed and frowned more.
He had been asking that question for weeks now, replaying every scene he had with Retsuko in his head. "Retsuko wanted to marry me....Retsuko wanted to be with me, forever...." Tadano trailed off, finally prying his gaze off the window as he looked around the limo. "If only I wasn't so stupid! If only I wasn't such a jerk!" Tadano hit the wall of his limo, frustrated with himself. He kept doing this as he spoke to himself, telling himself that he wasn't worth it, that he was such an idiot. That is, until Eni-o spoke.
"Tadano, you're going to hurt yourself. I advise that you stop. You are not passing the next stage of break-up, which a healthy person would of done by-" "Your right, Eni-o." Tadano interrupted again, holding his head. "I shouldn't be moping around like this. I should be trying to better myself." Tadano spoke softly, as if not remembering other people were around. "I can still prove myself to Retsuko. I can still be with her..... Eni-o! When is my schedule free?" Tadano's voice turned sharp, his shooting his gaze to the Ai again. "You are free this Sunday, sir." the Ai responded, as nonchalant as ever.
"Alright. All Sunday. I have all of Sunday to be with Retsuko. So I have today and tomorrow to plan." Tadano chuckled a bit, smiling at the thought of being with Retsuko. "Sunday, Retsuko.... Sunday you'll be all mine.."

Fenneko laughed at the joke Retsuko made, calming down shortly after. They were currently at a ramen place, their last stop for the night before they parted ways. Retsuko seized her giggling as well, taking a long slurp of ramen afterwards. Fenneko didn't want this night to end. She loved hanging out with Retsuko, just her and Retsuko. In just one evening they made hundreds of jokes, had millions of conversations, and went to about four different places.
Retsuko finished her ramen and checked the time on her phone, sighing tiredly. "This was fun Fenneko, we should do this again sometime." Retsuko glanced at her friend, who was hurriedly finishing her ramen to catch up with Retsuko. "Although next time, we should try and get Haida and Anai to come along too." Retsuko smiled bigger at the thought before checking her phone again.
Fenneko stopped for a minute at the thought of Haida and Anai. She had been pushing her guilt back all day, but now it was starting to bubble up again. Her smile twitched as she put on a calm voice. "Yeah...shame they couldn't come tonight, huh? We should definitely plan another day with them." Fenneko smiled more, thinking back to when she lied right to her friends faces. Well.. at least Retsuko didn't know.
"Well, I should be going now. It's late and my mom's coming over tomorrow, so I need to clean up at least a little bit. But this was fun, Fenneko. I'll see you later, okay?" Retsuko stood up, leaving her seat and putting some yen on the counter to pay for the meal. She then walked out, heading home.
Fenneko just waved goodbye and sat there for a minute, staring at Retsuko's ramen bowl before it was picked up. She checked her phone, scrolling through all the selfies her and Retsuko had took today. She was satisfied for today, and was about to walk out when she was stopped by a familiar deer.
"Hi there Fenneko." Tsunoda's voice sounded considerably less cheery as she walked up, taking Retsuko's old seat. "Oh. Tsunoda." Fenneko nodded in acknowledgement, staring at the seat Retsuko had sat in only seconds before. "What do you want?" She lifted her gaze upward, staring into the deer's eyes. Her eyelashes seemed bigger than usual today. "I thought you said Retsuko was busy today. That she couldn't hang out?" Tsunoda tilted her head to the side and watched Fenneko's movements carefully.
"What are you talking about." Fenneko snapped back a bit, sounding a little more agitated than she wanted to. " Well, correct me if I'm wrong but, yesterday in the hall you told Haida and Anai that Retsuko was busy today...Yet, I see you here hanging out with her..." Tsunoda trailed off, glancing up at Fenneko's nervous face. "You lied to your friends Fenneko...and to Retsuko..do you think they'd like that? If they found out?" Tsunoda's voice turned a bit more chilling as she pulled up her phone, putting it in front of Fenneko's face.
Right on the screen was multiple pictures of Retsuko and Fenneko from that day, walking out of the office, going into stores, even eating ramen. "I....You stalker! I knew you were weird but this is-" "Wrong?" Tsunoda finished Fenneko's sentence, earning a surprised and angry look from the fenneko fox. "I...What do you want, Tsunoda? I know your trying to blackmail me." Fenneko growled slightly, averting her gaze from the deer. "Well, just a request really...I won't tell anyone about your lies if...well, if you back off from Retsuko. "
"E-excuse me what!?" Fenneko almost fell out of her seat, her expression turning angry. "That's absurd! I work with her, I can't just-" "No, no, not like that." Tsunoda stopped Fenneko mid-sentence, putting her phone away. "I mean in the sense of hanging out with her. Don't go out to the bar with her, don't get anymore ramen with her, nothing. Even if she asks. That's all you have to do, then, I won't spill your lies." Tsunoda smiled, fluttering her long eyelashes. "I-I...." Fenneko stopped for a minute, deciding on what to do. "Fine.." Fenneko huffed out, looking away and getting up, starting to leave. "Whatever you say, bitch."
Tsunoda just smiled as Fenneko left the building, standing up seconds after and making her way to the restroom. Once inside, she pulled out a tube of mascara, gently opening it and applying more onto her eyelashes. It was Retsuko's mascara, she had took it yesterday and had been wearing it all day. She loved it. Maybe tomorrow she would use one of the lipsticks she stole, or pair it with the mascara too. Then she'd go to the mall and look for the shampoo Retsuko used, and take a long soak with it. That sounded beautiful to Tsunoda, soon exiting the bathroom and leaving the establishment.
Fenneko, though, was sitting on a nearby bench, scrolling through the selfies she had took with Retsuko as she thought. 'Tsunoda's getting in the way. I lied because I had too, its not wrong. She's wrong. I can hang out with Retsuko if I want to, who cares about Haida and Anai.' A heavy pang of guilt his Fenneko at that last thought. 'No, no, their still my friends....Tsunoda said she'd tell Retsuko too anyway....Dammit...' Fenneko sighed, powering off her phone and slipping it into her pocket.
But just as suddenly as she sighed, a new thought popped into her head. She didn't hate the thought, but she knew it was wrong. She couldn't help but smile at it though, getting up and walking all the way home as she replayed the thought in her mind.
'What if I kill Tsunoda?'
(Aaaaand that's chapter two! I hope you enjoyed! Have a good day/night!)
