No. 2: A Little About You And How You Met Them (Part 2)
--🎀¥ʊ℘ḯ∀🎀--
(Also, a little side note that this is pretty long lmao)
"Hah! What a bunch of idiots!" You giggled to yourself as you look at the bag full of rice you just stole from a rich man in the city.
Y/n L/n, a wanted criminal on the loose. You don't do serious crime like murder, but you're a skilled burglar and your main purpose is to steal rice and basically level yourself up.
You often disguise yourself when you went out to avoid getting caught, and it's not rare to hear people spreading rumors about the wanted rice burglar who's on the loose in town. They say some shitty stuff about you, like how you're a mentally unstable druggie who doesn't have any self respect or dignity.
"Ugh whatever, assholes . . . " You groaned to yourself as all the negative things that people say about you crossed your mind, "It's not like they know anything about me anyway."
You put the bag of rice you stole inside your backpack and began to search for a bridge or an abandoned house to stay at through the night, as the sun is slowly setting.
[. . .]
"There we go!" You sighed as you lay down the dusty, old pillows that you found in an abandoned cabin inside the woods near the place you were before, "Goodnight, Y/n-"
Creeeeaak!
You immediately shot up on your feet as the sound of the old cabin's door slowly opened.
"Oh shit-" You whispered to yourself, picked up your weapon on the floor, scared for your life.
This could be those swat and shit who's searching for you, or just a bounty hunter. But whoever that is, you know for sure that you're not safe here.
You hid behind the door of the room you were in, holding your weapon close to your chest.
'If whoever that is caught me. I'm fucked.' You think to yourself, as you tried to find the courage to face whatever that is that just walked inside the cabin.
"You're going to stay here?" A eerie voice asked, followed by a creepy giggle.
"Yeah. Can't really go to a more proper place in this condition. You can go back to your cave if you want." A robotic voice said, "I guess my job for today is over."
"Right . . . " The eerie voice responded, "Don't run out of fuel from those 'wounds' they gave you. It would be a pain in the ass if you die."
"Remember the trinity we've made, Yupia."
'Yupia?" You asked yourself. This name sounds familiar, but you can't really tell who that is.
After a long silence, with no noise could be heard whatsoever, you began to hear footsteps coming up stares, straight to where you were standing.
"Shit shit shit shit-" You whispered, but were ready to have a fight if you have to. You've survived many battles before, and you're not gonna loose this one.
"I can sense you. Coward." The robotic voice said, but there's no kind of expression in it, "Come out, before I get to you and smash your skull."
Your eyes widened as you remembered who this is. Yupia, the killing machine that the news are reporting about. According to it, she was created for the purpose of war, so there is no way that you can beat her if you're just a normal human being with some pick pocket skills.
But you figured that if you're gonna die, you won't end up being a dead coward.
Walked out of your hiding spot with your W/n in your hand, you found the white robot standing right outside of the room you're hiding in. But the robot looked a bit different from what you saw on the news.
She seemed to have lost her scarf. She was holding her visor in her hand, along with haft of her right leg, while her unique sword is in her other hand. Her eyes were shown, two deadly black holes with redish irises that glow in the dark of the woods. You heard that she cannot see, but those eyes look like they were starting into your soul, ready to eat it alive.
But really, you're scared out of your mind. You could die right now if she wants, and you don't want that to happen.
Another dead silence surrounded you two, until the robot opened up its mouth:
"I've heard about you before. Y/n L/n, the famous rice burglar in the city. Has been wanted for over eight years. Never thought that I'd meet you in this dusty old place." Yupia said with her emotionless voice, "I can smell your fear, Y/n. What's the matter? Haven't met a murderous robot before?"
You stayed quiet, too scared to even utter a word. You can feel sweat runing down the back of your now cold neck. Clenching your W/n in your hand, what kind of sarcasm is this? It's not even funny!
"I guess that's a yes." She 'smiled' like a mad man, and laughed hysterically before the 'smile' disappeared and she continued, "I can kill you and bring your dead body to the so called people who 'fight for justice', or like what others call them: Cops. But too bad that we're on the same boat."
She said, faked sadness, even when it doesn't look real. Yupia turned around and stumbled down stairs with one leg and her sword as a cudgel, headed for an old chair near the entrance of the cabin.
You stood there, frozen. Did you just hallucinated? What- why would this murder of a robot said those things? Why, would she want to keep you alive?
You backed off and quickly took your backpack that's been lying on the floor and looked at the window in that room. Should you run off? But what if she catch you? She did let you go though, so maybe-
"Y/n."
You jumped. For some reason, Yupia's voice doesn't sound as scary as it was.
"Y - yes?" You replied and then immediately regret it. What the actual fuck Y/n?? What is going on?!
"Got anything to fix this broken robot?" Yupia called for you from down stairs.
"Uh what?" You replied, heavily confused. Why should you help her?
"Don't make me go up there."
Just as those words ended, you immediately rethink about what you've just thought. She could kill you. So it's better for you to just listen to her than regret your decision for the rest if your life if you can survive. You quickly turned away from the window and walked down stairs to where Yupia's at.
'Better listen than dead.'
Now that you've got close to her, you can really see how fucked up she is. Aside from her broken leg and her visor that fell of, there was a hole on her head, looks like she got shot by a bullet, where some kind of pink liquid was running down her face, along with some stabs on her stomach.
"As least I need something to stop my fuel from being waisted." Yupia murmured.
"I - I have this . . . " You said, pulled a roll of bandage out of your backpack, "I can help."
You said as you walked close to her and began to bandage the hole on her head. Yupia stayed silent.
After you finished what you're doing, Yupia 'looked' up at you and said:
"You seems . . . different." She blinked, "Is if because you're afraid of me? Or . . . Hold on never mind, I mean, everyone does. I'm stupid."
You didn't say anything. She's right. But, for some reason, you feel . . . bad for her.
"Did something happened to you?"
"Yeah," Yupia said, and it took you by surprise that she owned it.
"I don't know if you really care about that, but I guess someone gotta know about it anyway," Yupia sighed, "I had a family, you know. I had a life. I was a, so called: Human. But this world is a cruel place."
You slowly sat down on the floor in front of her, as there's no other chairs around that you can sit on. It makes you feel like a grandchild listening to her grandad's stories when he was younger.
"My parents are some mad shit scientists, and they wanted to 'contribute' to war by experimenting things on me. I don't really remember what happened, but I do know that I killed some people and made a run for it to get my ass out of that shit hole." Yupia sighed, clenching her visor in her hand, "Now look at me, I'm not even an animal to them anymore, let alone a human being."
"Humans are disgusting."
She ended her story. You two just sat there, silent. Only the sound of the harsh wind outside could be heard.
Suddenly, Yupia placed her head on her hand:
"Ugh, what's the point of tell you anyway. Heh." Yupia laughed bitterly, "Let's just forget that I ever say that."
'That laughter . . . It sounds . . . Real.'
"I can feel that." You replied.
Yupia 'looked' at you, a bit surprised:
"How so?"
"I mean . . . " You stopped. Why do you have to tell her?
"If you don't want to talk about that, it's alright." Yupia leaned on the back of the chair, "Just wondering."
"No, it's fine," You replied. Who cares about that now? Besides, you need to let things out of your chest anyways, "Well, I guess the reason why I'm a 'Rice Burglar' is because my abusive parents kicked me out of the house because they cannot handle the fact that I'm a faggot."
"Continue." Yupia nodded.
"So I ended up being homeless for about haft a year or so. No one ever helped me. I have to sleep under bridges and dumpsters. It sucks. Then I began to pickpocket people on the street because I cannot bare to live like a stray animal anymore." You closed your eyes, "Eventually, I figured that probably, the reason why they treated me that way is because I have no rice, the holy shit thing that can define your dignity. So I became a rice burglar."
Yupia didn't say anyway. Silence again, but it's not scary or awkward. It's peaceful, for some reason. Probably because it's the first time someone ever wants to listen to you and didn't end up judging you.
"You are different, if what you're telling me is true." She said, "You make me think about it: we should work together."
"I'm sorry. What?"
"Yeah. I can kill those rich people, and you can steal their rice. It'd be easier than doing it separately." Yupia said like it's no big deal, "I need those rice anyway. And if we continue to do that for about a year or two - without getting caught - then we can gather more rice than the amount that they offer to the person who can catch both of us."
You looked at her in disbelief. That is nonsense!
"I don't kill."
"You're not the one who has to do that job anyway."
"But what you're saying is impossible! Both of the rice that they offer to the ones who can catch both of us is more than 2.000 rice! How can we make that amount in like, I don't know, two years?!"
"If we steal 200 rice everyday for two years, we'll get the total amount of 146.000 rice. Not to mention that I can protect you from those dumb cops and with your burglar skills, it'll be a piece of cake." Yupia said, you can feel the confidence in her robotic tone.
"That's . . . !" You about to come back at her, but quickly closed your mouth.
As insane as it sounds. It's not that bad of an idea.
"That's . . . actually a good plan, I'm not gonna lie." You whispered.
"Good. Glad you agreed, or else I may have no choice but to kill you." Yupia laughed, but it, of course, doesn't sound real, "Nice to meet you, partner."
Oh god, what did I get myself into?
--👑JΔDΣ👑--
"Now where the hell did that old asshat go?" You sighed to yourself as you walked around the huge training room in Vlak's house.
You're Y/n L/n. Vlak, or like what you call him, 'old asshat' is your tutor. He trained you to fight and how to live by yourself.
You can't really remember much about your childhood since after all of the events happened even before you can form your memory, but according to what Vlak told you, you came from a very poor village located near the west side of Cier.
It was a chaos when Vlak found you, you were only a few months old, haft drowned near a river, too starved and weak to even utter any cries. They were in a middle of a war between too clans that were too vicious that it caused the people in the village to ran away and forced to drown their own babies because now, they don't even have anything to feed themselves, let alone their children.
Vlak was only fifteen years old or so back then. He didn't have anything to offer you, but having to watched his mother drown his own baby brother and sister, he cannot leave you behind. He ran the other way from where the other villagers went, find a suitable place and began to start a new life, with you by his side so he wouldn't be lonely.
Vlak was like a father to you. {A/n: You love him like your own son /Pewdz reference} He teaches you everything that has to do with self defense and dignity of a human being. He loves you with a heart of a father and he wouldn't let anything bad happen to you.
Despite all of that, you're still a stubborn young woman/man, who would constantly teasing Vlak for his age and personality. But you know that he's done everything he can for you, and of course, who can even blame him?
"Ah, Y/n. Good timing, I have someone that I'd like you to meet." Vlak's deep voice could be heard behind the door of his office.
"Oh, coming!" You replied as you quickly grabbed your W/n and ran up stairs.
It's not an unusual thing for Vlak to have visitors, as he is a well known man to all of the people that live in West side of Cier. But it's never an everyday thing for him to want you to meet them, as most of his visitors are there for businesses that don't involve you.
"Y/n, I would like you to meet Jade." Vlak said, as he looked from you to a dark magenta female sitting in front of his office table.
"Hi there!" You smiled and give her a little wave.
"H - hey . . . " Jade replied. She seems a bit shy.
You noticed that she's clenching on two steel fans. Those look familiar, but you can't quite remember where have you seen it before.
"Jade, this is Y/n, my student. And Y/n, this is Jade. She will be training with you from now on." Vlak said, "Mind showing her around the house while I have some business with the people in the city?"
"Sure, Vlak." You gave him a little nod, "When do you planning to return?"
"This will be a short trip, about a day or so, so no worries." Vlak stood up as he put all of the papers in his desk into a file.
"Ok then." You sighed a little, before turning to the pretty magenta stickwoman, "Let's go Jade! This place looks a bit small on the outside but it is actually pretty huge!"
"Uh yeah - sure!" Jade said and stood up, trip over her own feet a little but manage to stand up straight and followed you.
———
I want to end me.
Ugh.
I just, literally run out of ideas!
Ughhhhhhhh.
Like, Yupia is pretty easy to write since her story has a lot to offer, but Jade? I mean, she has a backstory sure, but how am I supposed to let you two meet that's not a "childhood friends" or "came from the same village" thing??
Those are just too common and I want DIFFERENCE! But it's just so dang stressful to think about, idk, eight (and soon to be eleven) stories for eight/eleven different characters that don't seems similar to each other (if you can understand my skill of explanation).
Just.
If you have any unique and uncommon ideas, I'd me more than happy to hear it👌
