Next day, in Adventurer's Guild...

Kazuma spends his skill point on basic magic which he demonstrates by using <Create Water>. He fills in a glass cup and drinks it.

"Well, that's what I'd expect from basic magic. Now that I've learned a skill, maybe I'm a bit more of an adventurer." - Kazuma

"Kazuma! Look! I repaired my armor with the reward. It's so shiny now." - Darkness

"Look like the sort of armor an aristocrat's son would wear." - Kazuma

"You never show any mercy, do you, Kazuma?" - Darkness

Kazuma doesn't have time to pay attention to her as he looks at Megumin hugging her staff like a pervert. Megumin mumbled about the staff having enchanted with a lot of great magic.

"What was that?" - Aqua

Aqua is holding Luna while screaming out about those cabbages that she harvested is lettuce. Darkness commented about lettuce has a low exchange rate, so Aqua won't get a reward from it.

"Yo Kazuma! I saw you learning some new skill now." - Rimuru

"Oh, Rimuru! Where were you yesterday?" - Kazuma

"I have something to deal with personally, so I can't join you guys. It seems like Aqua failed to harvest those cabbages." - Rimuru

Aqua looks back to Kazuma as he expected she would like to borrow money from him.

"Kazuma ~~ How much was your reward from our last quest?" - Aqua

"About a million." - Kazuma

"I'm surprised. You managed to get a million Eris from harvest cabbages." - Rimuru

"How about you, Rimuru? How much you reward?"- Kazuma

"About 2 million." - Rimuru

All three of the girls were surprised that two of them collect way more than them.

Aqua's eyes started to glow as she wants to steal from him.

Kazuma thinks about how he manages to get this much. The only answer is his high luck which could lead him to reward more money and XP.

Aqua tried to flirt and admired him to get some money but it failed. Aqua looks at Rimuru...

Rimuru left them with a Rimuru's figure cardboard version with a sign.

Aqua starts begging Kazuma to pay a debt that she spends on the bar which is about 100,000 Eris.

Kazuma told her that he only using this money to escape a life in a horse house once and for all.

Aqua blackmail Kazuma for being rustle around next to her at night and she was sure he would like a private room for something. The result is he covered her mouth and accept to give her some money.

Aqua finally paid her debt and Kazuma is annoyed.

Rimuru suddenly appeared behind his back.

"How did you feel?" - Rimuru

"More like being forced than being happy!" - Kazuma

"Don't be like that. Here, I give something for you." - Rimuru

Rimuru gives Kazuma a bag of Eris which makes him surprised. In a bag that contains 500,000 Eris. Kazuma looks at her as he looks at his goddess.

"Just don't spend it all. I will be waiting for the next quest, so go buy something you need." - Rimuru

(If only Aqua were more like her, my life would like gone so much more than ever. She is truly a goddess.) - Kazuma

Time skip: Chibi Rimuru is looking at some quest.

Kazuma bought some new clothe and gear for the next adventurer. He now looks more like an adventurer.

"I acquire a basic magic skill. I was thinking of going for a sword-mage style with no shield." - Kazuma

"Let's take a kill quest. I want to test out with my new staff and one-shot with all of the small fry monsters." - Megumin

"No, on with super strong monster that hit with a heavy blow!" - Darkness

"No! let's do a profitable quest! I paid my debt, so I don't have to worry about meals." - Aqua

"It seems like they aren't on the same page, Kazuma. I follow what quest that your team chooses." - Rimuru

"You are correct! Now everyone! This quest is The Grant Toads' mating season and I hear they're infesting an area near the city." - Kazuma

"NO! Frogs!" - Aqua, Megumin

Darkness is questioning about it as Rimuru is smiling at the other two who are traumatized by the frog when they got swallowed and covered in slime.

Darkness gets turned on about being covered in slime as Kazuma recognized it. Darkness refused to knowledge it.

At Quest station...

There is a lot of highly difficult question which is impossible Expect Rimuru.

One with Darkness's suggestion is killing a giant beast named Black Fang. Kazuma refused it.

(If they choose this, I would like to see them trying and possibly die.) - Rimuru

Luna apologizes about this since one of Demon King's subordinates moved into town recently which caused all the weak monsters in the area to go to hiding. Because of it, amount of quests has been reduced.

Kazuma is disappointed. Rimuru decided to light up the mood.

"Kazuma! How about you and your team visit to frog area? I sense some of them still remained." - Rimuru

"No! Are you serious?!! I don't want to get my body covered in slime again!" - Aqua

"Rimuru. Why do you want us to go with you?" - Kazuma

"Since you want to learn how to use sword-mage skill, I had some skill for you to learn in exchange for a bit of entertainment.' - Rimuru

Kazuma is confused about the deal but accepts it since he wants to learn about it.

Time skip: Chibi Rimuru dragging three others to the frog area.

In the frog's area...

Kazuma and others are standing near the tree. Aqua watch her surround to avoid eating by a frog. Kazuma watches Rimuru who demonstrates her skill to him.

Rimuru snaps his finger to catch the attention of the frog. Suddenly, three giant frogs come at him while Rimuru is waiting.

"Hey, Kazuma! Watch carefully!" - Rimuru

When the three of them jump on Rimuru, Rimuru swings his sword.

<Crestwater Slash> - Rimuru

In instant, all of the frogs had been decapitated. Rimuru walk back to his team who were dumbfounded by Rimuru's skill.

"That was amazing! You slash all of them an instant!" - Kazuma

"I hardly see you draw the sword out too!" - Megumin

"Although I don't like being cut, it is still amazing to your skill." - Darkness

"Hmph! That kind of impressive, I guess." - Aqua

"Are you jealous of her, Aqua?" - Kazuma

"NO! I will possibly beat them on my own if they don't sneak up on me." - Aqua

At that moment, the frog bite Aqua from behind her while another was silently watching her get devoured.

At horse home, Aqua is complaining about the top leader of Demon Lord and her team didn't save the frog while making a fake flowers for sale. Kazuma is more worries about their job since the leader of Demon Lord had moved near this city, so they can't take another quest.

The next day, Kazuma, Megumin, and Rimuru are searching for a target for explosion magic. Since Explosion magic cost nearly all of her mana, she needs someone to carry her home. Rimuru follows them because he was bored.

"Hey, right here's fine, isn't it? Just use your magic on whatever and let's go back." - Kazuma

"I can't do that. If I don't go it far away from town, I'll be scolded by the guard again." - Megumin

"So, that's why I saw the sign called Banned Explosion on my way back to town." - Rimuru

"You use Explosion magic to the point someone put the sign about this and you want to use it again. Did they get mad because of the noise?" - Kazuma

Megumin nodded as Kazuma has no choice but to search for her target.

For a while, they end up finding an abandoned castle. Ciel informed her master.

<Well, the abandoned castle actually where one of Demon Lord's subordinates moved in!> - Ciel

(It seems we had something to watch now. Let's see how angry that person would be if he found out someone launched explosion magic.) - Rimuru

Megumin suggested using Explosion magic on this castle since no one will complain about it if this castle gets destroyed. Kazuma agrees and Rimuru had no suggestion.

Megumin began to chant her magic and fire it when her chant nearly ended.

An explosion had been caused inside the castle.

She fainted as she was proud to see another explosion while Kazuma face slap himself

Rimuru carried Megumin alongside Kazuma on way back home. Kazuma thinks this is his new daily routine with Megumin and Rimuru began.

Kazuma POV

"it's cheap, super cheap! Fresh cabbages!" - Aqua

Aqua worked hard at her part-time job every day after she became broke.

Darkness said she was going to do weight training at her family home.

Rimuru... I don't know what is in her mind when she has nothing to do and is bored. She just follows us along as she wants it.

And Megumin, who has nothing to do, goes to the castle every day to cast Explosion magic on it

So, I and Rimuru watch Megumin cast her magic on the castle every day.

On a cold, rainy evening...

On a calm, early afternoon, right after lunch...

BOOM!

On Brisk, early morning walks...

BOOM!

"I'd give those one 60 points, I think. It's lacking in volume." - Kazuma

"It looks like you need to try a little harder." - Rimuru

No matter the occasion, Megumin still continue to blast her magic into that castle every day.

Kazuma observes her magic each time she cast and eventually understands the quality of each day's explosion magic.

Kazuma looks back at Rimuru who closely watches Megumin's Explosion magic daily and wonders what she thinks.

Rimuru watches each time Megumin cast her explosion magic.

(Each time I watch the explosion. I concluded why Carrera loved shot nuclear magic that much. Feeling the shockwave reverberate through bone and flesh including the vibration of the air seems like strikes my skin.)

<I feel Carrera would cause another Explosion in the Labyrinth again.> - Ciel

Rimuru smile weakly as the flashback about the collateral damage that Carrera cause and that she received the punishment by Ciel herself.

The final explosion that Megumin caused, was very good and Kazuma congratulate her for it.

Megumin is happy as he understands the quality of Explosion magic. She asked him if he wants to learn it.

Kazuma thinks it could be fun in the future if he could afford it yet.

"You two seem to understand each other now, right?" - Rimuru

"Hey, Rimuru! What do you think about while Megumin cast Explosion?' - Kazuma

"Well, Megumin remind me about one of my friend who love explosions that she cast it without hesitation." - Rimuru

"Wow! So, you have some who love explosion like me too. I'm so glad." - Megumin

All three share a good laugh before going home.
