XVI: Happily never after
"I'm sorry?" Edward frowned. "How could your Grandmother be Juliet White?"
"Because...she has secrets. There are things she's not telling me about her. Look, when I was bored, I found this in her bedside table." Sophie said, pulling out the moving photo of her Grandmother and another girl.
"It's a picture." He said blandly.
"Yes, it is but look closer."
"It's moving!"
"Exactly."

"Mother, who is this man?" Juliet asked.
"This is your suitor, Paris Lockhart." Mayfair stated idly.
"I must have heard you incorrectly, suitor?"
"Yes. Your father and I have arranged a marriage with the Lockhart's between yourself and their son, Paris. It's all been arranged so there is nothing to worry about."
"How can you expect me to marry someone I've never met?!" Juliet shrieked.
"If I can say something, you've just met me now and it's a pleasure to meet you too." Paris smiled kindly.
"This is madness, mother! I refuse to go through with this!" Juliet said, crossing her arms.
"You have no choice I'm afraid. Either you go through with this or you spend your life living as a blood traitor without us as your parents standing by your side."
"That sounds like a pretty good life." Juliet retorted.
"Your room. Now. If you are not prepared to act like an adult then you will be treated like a child. Go to your room. NOW!" George bellowed.
Juliet stormed off and went upstairs to scream into her pillow.
"-and that is the purpose of moonstone in amortentia. Any questions? No? Then I'll have to ask some. Juliet!"
Juliet woke from her daze and looked up at Professor Slughorn, still slightly dazed and eyes not fully open.
"Hmm?" She asked.
"Could you please tell me some of the properties of moonstone and what effects it has?" Slughorn asked her.
"Well...moonstone is a powdery substance and is found in the most obscure places and to many peoples disbelief, it isn't found on the moon. Although, it does contain some elements that give it similar properties to moon rocks. Moonstone is particularly harmful to halfbreed creatures such as vampires and werewolves." Juliet said sleepily.
Slughorn looked clearly taken aback.
"That was a perfect explanation of the properties of moonstone. Fifteen points to Slytherin!" He exclaimed and returned to talking to the class.
"How did you do that?" Martha whispered over to her.
"What are you talking about, Martha?" Juliet yawned again.
"You explained the properties of moonstone like it was easy and you were holding a piece of paper in front of you!" She whispered.
"I like potions, okay?" She giggled.
The day passed fairly quickly and without incident, or so it seemed. In Juliets mind, there were little people runnin around having a meltdown with a red alarm flashing. She had not forgotten about her meeting with her secret lover at all, she had been dragged off by Paris and his friends to talk. Her mind had wandered and she had briefly thought about just leaving but that would arise suspicion and that was the last thing she wanted.
She spotted Sirius at the Gryffindor table at dinner but she had no way of going over to him without Rita telling the whole school about their relationship or becoming a blood traitor. All she wanted was to have a normal life with normal parents so she could be with the person she truly loved. She sighed and started pushing her carrots to one side of the plate and her peas to the other. After all, they were completely different and therefore they must never touch.
"You ready, Moony?"
Remus nodded weakly and put an arm around James and Sirius' necks so he could be dragged off to The Shrieking Shack. Sirius saw Juliet walk past but merely looked away painfully and sighed.
"Sirius?"
"Yes?" He turned around.
"Be careful."

"If your Grandmother is Juliet then that can only mean..."
"Yes. My Grandfather has to be Sirius Black."
