This is the first time I actually disagree with a lot of the rankings, the judges and I really had a hard time, there were a lot of ties which were broken with the score they received. Also, very random but I just want to promote CLNighters here which I returned to after deciding to leave and I am now working as a Social Media Manager. They are such a close knit community and they are very nice and fun people to be around with. I have met a lot of good people there and they really care about the community. They are really dedicated to what they do.

It's a really active community, they have a lot of inside jokes and are just really crazy fun people. You should really check these guys out, I would hate to see their works go to waste. They are not hiring at the moment but if you want to have your book reviewed, get interviewed, or have your book edited, you can request there.

And no, I wasn't paid to do this or anything, it's one of the best communities I have ever been a part of and I genuinely think they deserve all the success they earned.

My Comments: Congrats for winning once again and being the star of the round. Honestly Velle you are a force to be reckoned with and have the most potential to be one of the final 3. With that being said, you can see that my ranking for you is really low compared to the others. This is not because I wasn't impressed, trust me, I was but there were just some things that bugged me.

The fairies were unnecessary for me because It just made the graphic looked heavier. the shadows on the frog could have been done better. Although very little, you still incorporated blue and purple which I said that shouldn't be there. Because of how many colors you have in your graphic, it honestly hurt my eyes a little bit because there was just so much going on that it looked more messy than magical. This also doesn't help that the font color or the title is abit too distracting. Since the background is so busy, the fonts being even busier just adds to the mess.

I love the background idea though, it really made you stand out and you really did it differently. I also love the frog that you chose, it really suited the environment and you made it look so lovely. Also, you win too much in the Star of the Round that it makes me have second thoughts on the voting system since it is really biased which is expected because it is a popularity award but I might change some things.

Anyways, great job Velle! May you do well in the next round too!

My Comments: You were one of the people who followed all the requirements given at the same time being unique which I am really happy about. However, there is a reason why I ranked you second.

As much as I love the idea, the font is my main issue (you can see that I placed a 2/5). It was creative and I liked the idea but it didn't really work out because (1) The background is not dark enough for all letters to be readable like the "T" in spirit for example and (2) It would have been fine without the extra smoke at the side like the "L" in animal, it completely butchered the letter.

Also, after looking at your cover, I think the human head was unnecessary really. I don't see a need for it to be there. the ground was sufficient enough. Although you followed my conditions for colors, I wish to have seen a bit more other colors like blue (orange's complementary color) or colors in the warm family like red. You could have also made the grass or the trees in the forest have a splash of green.

It wasn't bad, but like I said about Velle's entry, the font made it look very busy. I really love the spirit mouse though. It was really well edited and although I said the head was unnecessary, I like the quality of the face claim. Good effort! Congrats on getting to the top 3!

My Comments: Your cover was of the highest quality and I really love the creativity, however, there is a reason why I didn't rank you as high as you would think,

First of all, the #1 criteria of the scoring is always the theme because I value following the prompt than making a beautiful cover out of nowhere. You didn't add the other subtitle which was "Rozie Graphic Wars Entry" but that is understandable because that subtitle is newly added but that doesn't excuse that you didn't carefully read the prompt. I also said no yellow, although I didn't ban you from relating it to Harry Potter, I did say no yellow because I wanted you to be more creative with a badger. Using harry potter as your theme was an easy way out because of the reference which is why I limited the yellow option in the first place, not because I hate Harry Potter (because I love it). 

Also, I wish you took the ethereal theme a bit more seriously. Although you successfully fulfilled the bright theme, this cover doesn't scream delicate or too perfect which is the definition of ethereal.

I really like how the armor and the sword are edited in. The snitch was also a nice touch. You also almost incorrectly spelled Spirit but I'll let you off in that because I know how long this probably took you to make. Great job Cat like always!

My Comments: Eirlys, it is such a shame actually because you were who I truly wanted to win but I have to consider the perspective of the other judges. It would be immoral of me to cheat your win and that is not a value I hold up to. The main reason why I really love your cover is because I think you're the only one who was able to balance too much and too little. You added what was enough that it didn't feel lacking or too much.

Although I said no thin fonts, you could have used a more simpler font style for the subtitle. The "Graphic by Eirlys" would have been better at the bottom than the top. I think the font placements and styles could be improved. That's the only negative critique I have for you, almost everything is flawless.

You followed my instructions. Everything I asked for is there, you used a more orange monkey than brown, there was no jungle, no black background, no white font, no thin and pointy subtitle. The library and the idea is really thought out well. However, the main contributor for your ideas was thelightbender, so I can't give you the full credit for that but you pulled off her idea really well.

Congratulations on still being a part of the top 4! You are definitely consistent and you haven't dropped drastically in rank so be proud for that.

My Comments: Yay! Top 5 Juhi! Although I like your idea and you followed all the requirements there are still some things that should be improved.

As much as I love your idea, your cover doesn't 100% fit the theme but I gave you a 5 because you did follow all the requirements and it is magical and ethereal in a way, just wished it was more brighter or lighter. The font for the title is an interesting choice and it could have worked better if it didn't cover up the main subject which is the seahorse. 

I can't decipher if this is text slap or not because it looks edited but you could have made the seahorse a bit smaller to accommodate the title or vice-versa. " The Seahorse Spirit" is placed too much on the edge and your subtitles could have been a bit smaller because I did mistakenly thought the subtitle was the title because of how much the title blends with the centerpiece and because of how big the subtitles are.

I like the font texture though, could use more work but I'm glad you listened and din't blend the font into the graphic. I also like how you didn't really go for an ocean to associate the seahorse and went for something more unique.

My Comments: You did really well for the animal you were given but there are some minor mistakes that I have spotted.

You didn't include Rozie Graphic Wars Entry anywhere in the cover. Your username could be more visible like using a white font for it. The font could have been improved more, other than that there is really nothing I didn't like. Maybe for some, the colors might be weirdly blended in which is why some of them scored lower.

You followed the prompt really nicely. It looks heavenly and spiritual for a snake. You didn't use a green snake, there weren't any grain or dust effects (but I see you replaced them with sparkles and clouds), there was no red eyes, no fire and no stroke texts. It still kept your style but it also looked a bit different which is what I wanted.

I felt like I pulled you out of your comfort zone, hope that's alright with you. Congratulations, you did well this round.

My Comments: You were one of the people who passed quite late which is understandable (since even I am behind on many things too) but for being late, you didn't do that bad.

You however are part of the people who forgot to put "Rozie Graphic Wars Entry". The title font was also good but the subtitles below could have been better. Especially the white strokes around the letters which makes it barely readable and look weird with the purple. There could have been more elements in the back to make it interesting like a border or something. 

You did follow the prompt well though. You didn't used a blue dolphin, I think this is the most brightest and vibrant entry I have seen from you. Also, there wasn't a body of water which made it look interesting and unexpected. I also like the gems around the tail but they could have looked better.

It was good but not the best from you which is why your rank is a bit lower but it's still a good score. I'm proud of your achievements so far.

My Comments: so you surprised me this time and you did better than I thought however there is a major reason why I ranked you so low. Your cover is really pretty though and it has potential my problem however is that you didn't follow the prompt exactly.

You were not supposed to use warm colors in the cover. This includes colors like red, orange, yellow and pink. The reason for this is because I have seen you use these colors too much and I wanted to see if you can be versatile or at least show hidden styles you didn't know you were good at.

At least you didn't add a brown, black or white horse, there are no empty fields, and the title is in cursive. You also nailed the spiritual part. Would have ranked it higher if you followed instructions. Other than those, you did a really great job. Looking forward to your entries for the next round since I can see it as a bit of your specialty.

My Comments: Kristin, I really wanted you to be ranked higher for very many reasons and I will explain them all after I explain why I think the other judges ranked you low.

The whole edit was honestly beautiful and it would have worked if the fonts weren't so clumped up together. The spider spirit subtitle could have worked in one line and smaller so that it won't be mistaken for the title. The colors were nice but I feel like using white and pink on a white and pink background clashes with the graphic. A darker text color would have worked or a gold/silver color would have worked as well.

The reason why I ranked you 3rd is because for the prompt that you were given, you followed everything and you did everything you were told and still managed to make it look awesome. This edit also looks a bit different from your usual style which was what I wanted to see. The harp was also a nice tough and the whole graphic was so cute. I wish you could have ranked higher, you honestly deserve it.

My Comments: To be honest Mari, I was expecting a lot from you but it is a bit disappointing for me because you barely went out of your comfort zone and you didn't follow most of the prompt. I will give you props for having the best represented "spirit animal" because I can see your edit being a spirit animal more than all the others.

You (like the others) didn't add "Rozie Graphic Wars Entry" in your cover. You didn't use the standard white sheep (because you technically made it blue) but it's still a blue sheep, you didn't place it in a field but instead in a forest which is what I expected and that is good. What disappointed me was because you had a monochromaticcolor scheme which I said to not do. I said that the minimum amount of colors should be 3 and you only had blue. A mix of green or purple could have made this look more interesting and definitely prettier. 

It looked really stale because of too much blue. Try to work with more than one color next time. Monochromatic is not bad if it is used smartly. Learn when to and when not to use monochromatic color schemes.

This was a lovely edit, so don't put yourself down. If there was a bit more variety there, I would have definitely placed you in the top 3.

My Comments: Your edit wasn't actually that bad Nivi, this was really well done but I guess something feels lacking which is the main reason why I ranked you so low.

You forgot the "Rozie Graphic Wars Entry" in the cover, the fonts could have been more attractive to the eye. The flamingo could have been edited more to make it look fun and interesting. Even though there is a splash of purple in there, I honestly wanted to see something otherworldly. A flamingo is a very pretty animal and it works for a lot of ethereal settings. You could have done something to make it look grander. 

I like the light ring at the back but I'm not sure if you added it in or if it was part of the picture. Again, this was really pretty but I honestly expected more.

I know you might have been demotivated with this prompt which is honestly okay, it was a really hard prompt so I hope you can do better next round.

My Comments: This was a really creative cover Nicole but there is a reason why so many put you quite low. This wasn't that bad, it really isn't but if I complained that others had too little, yous is too much. There is too much going on that my eyes are quite confused on what to focus on. Too many colors happening at once and they are really bright.

I like the parrot that you chose and I scoured through PicsArt to see if you used the premades and I'm glad you didn't. This however made me see some flaws in your cutting which you have to work on. There are a lot of rough edges on the parrot png which makes it look rough. The magic circle at the back could be toned down a bit or to make it look more effective, the background could have been simpler. Maybe there was also too many sparkles and stars that made the graphic look messy too.

You also forgot "Rozie Graphic Wars Entry" and maybe had the bottom part of the graphic in a darker color so that the title and subtitle can be visible more.

Great effort, just learn to control the amount of effects you need. Sometimes, less is more but it should be effective. Small detailing can be added, just make sure to not make it look too cluttered and messy.

My Comments: Yes, I ranked you last but the other co-judges must have saw something nice in your entry.

To be honest, it's not bad but it is very beginner-esque. I hate to say it but it's bare minimum. It's almost text slap and I can forgive text slap if you at least tried to match the prompt but you honestly didn't.

I couldn't find anything spiritual or ethereal in this cover except for the butterflies which could have been blended in more. Maybe adding a halo or wings, even changing the color of the fox could have worked better for me. 

The fonts are also quite inappropriate. Most author names or usernames should not be in cursive for the sake of visibility and formality. The title could have been better in two lines and the fox spirit could have tried to match the title font a bit more.

It is understandable that you might be behind than others because you barely participated in some rounds but at least you aren't last I guess.

Just please remember that in my contests, you can't just do the bare minimum and call it a day. I have to at least see some effort in there.

My Comments: No Brooklyn, this wasn't the result I wanted. I honestly didn't want you in last because like some have said, you have definitely improved. The font could have worked better if you didn't space it out too much. It's good to space fonts if they are in all caps. If they aren't in all caps, it is a really bad decision to space fonts.

Your username could have also been smaller and the horse spirit could have been bigger instead.

I was surprised you chose a horse out of all animals. You did really well with the mane colors though it would work better if it didn't reach the body. I also liked that you placed it up in the clouds and the subtle rainbow was also good.

I really hate to see you in last place for this round because you did really well. I have full faith in you that you can become better in the future rounds. You can use the mini prizes to your advantage so that you might be placed higher.
