So, first up on my list of OCs is our lead girl herself, Ocean D Aoi, a.k.a Portgas D Aoi.

Aoi actually has social anxiety. It's not really mentioned much in any stories I have written with Aoi, wether these stories have been published or not, mainly because I didn't really feel a need to call out Aoi's anxiety.

By her other crew members and even in my stories, Aoi is described as "confident and collected" but really, she's a mess of anxiety.

When Aoi was the Captain if her own crew, the Knight Pirates, consisting of herself and 3 of my other OCs, Aisuru, Ki and Aka, she appeared confident because she can handle 3 other people. However, after joining up with the Whitebeard Pirates, Aoi is really only ever found around Ace, Marco, Thatch or Izo. This is because, thanks to her anxiety, if she doesn't have one of them around while in a room with the other crew members, she'll start to freak out and have an anxiety attack. She feels most at ease around Ace, Marco, Thatch and Izo, so when they are around for her to talk to, she is okay.

Aoi actually shares that with me. I always need one person to talk to when I'm in social situations with people I don't know. I can handle being in a room with up to 10 people, anything over 10, I will become a "wallflower" and if I can't talk to someone, I have to listen to music or I will shut down.

So if you guys ever see me all awkward, it's because there are too many people.
