My Own One Piece original ending

RT_Strawhat_Ninja: yeah, so... the following is what I had originally intended to be the ending for My Own One Piece. Though, I want you all to know that if I had used this ending, I would have written a sequel. I'll sumerize the sequel in an author's note at the end.

Also, at this point, Rogue would have been born.

WARNING: intense feels ahead.

"Aka!" Aoi yelled out. Aka grabbed Aoi's hand and slowed down time.

"Aoi, there's no way we can push Akainu's Fist away in time! Even with me slowing time!" Aka told her.

"It's not Akainu I intent to move." The Bluenette said. Aka's eyes widened.

"Aoi, no! You can't! Your son... You can't possibly-" Aka started. Aoi looked back at Aka with a sad smile in her eyes.

"Look after them." She said. Aka stood frozen as Aoi ripped her hand out of Aka's grasp, breaking the time set that Aka had placed. Aka blinked and found herself in Law's arms.

"No! Aoi!" Aka screamed, turning her head to watch her closest friend's final moments.

Ace closed his eyes, waiting for the moment to come. He suddenly felt as if a powerful wave had washed over him and he lost his footing, falling forward on to Luffy. Luffy quickly caught his brother, but his obsidian eyes were locked on the scene behind him.

Ace sat up and gripped Luffy's shoulders.

"Are you alright? He didn't touch you, did he? Luffy? Come on, Lu, answer me!" Ace said.

"A-Aoi...." Luffy stuttered out. Ace turned his head and felt his heart break in to a million pieces.

"No...." he gasped.

Aoi stared down, looking at the fist that was lodged through her chest.

"What the hell?!" Akainu asked, trying to tear his fist from Aoi's body. Aoi's head shakingly rose and turned so she could glare at Akainu.

"S-Sea command.... O-Ocean's Wings!" She coughed out. A blast of sea water rushed out her back, slicing through Akainu. Finally, his fist was released from her body and Akainu fell to the ground, dead.

Aoi fell forward. Ace and Luffy caught her before she could hit the ground.

"Aoi? Aoi! No, come on, baby, stay with me!" Ace said.

"Oneechan..." Luffy managed to squeak out. A soft smile came on to Aoi's bloodied lips.

"Big sister, huh? You have... no idea how long... I've wanted someone to call me that..." she laughed before coughing up a bit of blood.

"Aoi, no! Come on!" Ace insisted.

"Ace... sorry, babe... but this is it for me... I'm dying..." She said.

"No! Come on! Just a little bit of water, right? That's all it takes? I NEED WATER OVER HERE! HURRY!" Ace called out.

"Ace... Luffy... listen to me..." Aoi coughed out. She was able to hold on to the two boys in a strong hug. Jinbe watched from a short distance away, shocked at what he was seeing.

"Sabo.... he's alive..." she coughed out.

"What? How?!" Ace asked.

"The revolutionary, Dragon... he saved him... he has amnesia... though.... when news spreads of what happend here... and he sees you... he'll remember.... he is alive... you will see him again... just don't rush things..." she said. Ace and Luffy spared each other a glance, then returned their eyes to Aoi.

"Ace... our baby... was a boy... his name is Rogue... take care of him..." she coughed and Ace held tighter to his wife.

"There's so much... I want to say... but.... there's just not enough time... but... Ace... Luffy... you two... you've both made me feel so welcome... so loved... so happy..."

"Aoi..." Ace whimpered.

"I've never... ever loved my self... because of my parents... I thought I didn't deserve to exist... I often asked.... why am I here? So many times.. I wanted to die. But then you two came in to my life... and I forgot about it. I didn't care anymore if I deserved this life or not... all I wanted... was to see your smiles... to hear your laughs... to watch as your dreams came true... I love you both so much... that I wanted to live... that I forgot what hating myself felt like..." Aoi bit her lip as she tried to fight her tears unsuccessfully.

"My voice... isn't strong enough to carry.... so I need you to tell them something... Dad... Marco... Izo... Aka... and you two.... Thank you... thank you for loving me!" Aoi cried out. Tears rolled down Luffy and Ace's cheeks at her words.

Aoi's arms gave out and slipped from the shoulders of Ace and Luffy. Everything moved in slow motion as Aoi fell, her jade eyes sliding shut. Ace and Luffy turned, trying to catch her, but missing as she slipped from their arms and hit the ground with a lifeless splat. Her eyes were closed and a smile was resting on her face.

"A-Aoi.... oneechan..." Luffy gasped, not wanting to believe his only sister was dead. He didn't want her to be dead. He didn't get to know her that well. He didn't get to play games with her and make her laugh at his silly antics. He didn't get to hear her sing like Ace said she loved to do. All the things she promised that she'd do the next time the met when they last saw each other in Alabasta. Surely Aoi wouldn't break her promise to him... right?

"AOI!" Luffy and Ace's anguished voices broke the air. Marco fell to his knees and cried for the death of his little sister. Whitebeard covered his eyes and bit back sobs as his only daughter's soul passed on.

Jinbe ran to the men, knowing he had to get them off the battlefield before they shared Aoi's fate. Marco lept to his feet and rushed to defend them from Kizaru's on coming attack.

"FOLLOW AOI'S DYING WISH! PROTECT MONKEY D LUFFY!" He screamed out. All Whitebeard Pirates and allied pirates began to fight, protecting the two men with broken hearts.

"Come on! Pull yourself together!" Jinbe yelled, gently shaking Luffy. Ace was bent over his wife's lifeless body, crying out every bit of anguish in his heart. Begging her to come back, crying that he needed her, whimpering he couldn't live with out her. Knowing that he wouldn't be able to get Ace away from Aoi's body, Jinbe picked up Luffy and carried him from the battle.

The Battlefield was once again silenced as a beautiful woman who looked almost like Aoi, yet taller, with longer hair that was the color of the ocean, rather than the sky, ocean blue eyes and a sever resting bitch face.

"Tch. It's too bad. I liked her. I really did. While others who ate my fruit would grovel to me and beg me to bless them with my power, she challenged me. She carried a bravery in her heart that I've only seen from one other man." The woman said. Jinbe's eyes widened.

"The goddess..." he murmured. Ace looked up at the woman.

"Kaiyo... Bring her back! Giver her back to me!" Ace screamed at her. Kaiyo ignored Ace and knelt down by them. She gently placed her hand against Aoi's cheek and sighed.

"Such a shame. She was by far my favorite that ever came in to my power. Her heart was as loving as it was brave. Maybe it was her love that made her brave." She said. Ace grabbed her shoulders, forcing the goddess to look at him and all the color drain from Jinbe's face.

"Bring her back! Give my wife back to me!" Ace cried. Kaiyo looked in to Ace's eyes with a look of sympathy.

"It is out of my power." She said.

"Out of your power?! You're a goddess! How is this outbof your power?!" Ace cried.

"From the moment Aoi are my fruit, it was no longer my fruit and she was no longer a mere human. She gave her mortal life to save yours, Portgas D Ace. And with her final living moments, she willed her power to your brother." She said.

"To Luffy?" Ace asked. Kaiyo shook her head.

"To your other brother. The one with the hair of gold." She said.

"...Sabo..?" Ace asked in disbelief. Kaiyo released her shoulders from Ace's grasp and stood.

"Her angel watches and gaurds you now. I suggest that you use your mortal life to guard your son." She said. The goddess walked in past Ace. Ace stared down at his wife's lifeless body.

Every marine. Every pirate. Everyone that could watch, watched as Kaiyo walked to the dead body of Akainu. She scowled at him.

"Disgusting. An arrogant man that believed himself to be above all. But as my darling mortal demigoddess just proved, you are not above the divines, Sakazuki Akainu!" Kaiyo yelled at the man's dead body. She lifted the water spear she carried and jammed the wooden bottom of it on to his chest.

"May your soul burn." She said. Everyone watched the sea goddess. Thewoman with long blue hair turned to no one else. She walked back in to the ocean and disappeared as suddenly as she appeared.

The battle at Marineford then continued until Shanks stepped up and ended the fight. After retrieving the bodies of Portgas D Aoi and Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate, the long battled ended.

On a cliff of an uncharted island in the Grandline, two graves stood. One with a giant sword and giant coat on it, and the other with two daggers on it. Before the graves stood two men, a baby with blue hair in the arms of one.

"Mama?" The baby asked. Ace hugged his son tightly.

"That's right, Rogue. Mama is watching over us now." Ace said, biting back tears.

"So what's next for you, Ace?" Marco asked. Ace held his son tighter. The baby boy softly patted Ace's cheek.

"First off, I'm taking Rogue to the island where I grew up. My caretaker should still be there. After that, I'm joining Luffy's crew." Ace said. Marco looked over at Ace.

"I lost my wife. And I almost lost my little brother. I'm not going to risk not being there for him. And no way in hell am I putting Rogue's life on the line." Ace said. Marco put his hand on Ace's shoulder.

"Good luck, brother. You can always call on us if you ever need help." He said. Ace nodded.

"Good luck, Captain Marco. We'll meet again." He said. After that, Ace left to carry out what he told Marco.

[the end]

RT_Strawhat_Ninja: yeah. That's how I was going to end it. Originally, I intended for Aoi to die. I decided to change the ending by the time I wrote Thatch's death in My Own One Piece. Though, how I intended to end that ending with Aoi telling Ace "I found my own One Piece." I know. Cheesier than Wisconsin in national cheese day (sorry if you live in Wisconsin)

Anyways, for the sequel I was going to write, it was just going to be Ace's two years of training and healing, followed up by joining with the Straw Hats in Sabody, then Fishman Islands, then Punk Hazard in which it would be Ace reminding Law and Aka that they need to value each other, the Dressrosa, finding Sabo. And Ace would actually tell Sabo he had to eat the Water-Watee fruit. And Sabo is able to eat the fruit with out going through the thing Aoi did, because Aoi had already decided that Sabo would get her fruit after she died, and since the Sea Godess Kaiyo liked Aoi so much, she didn't argue. Then skip to finding the One Piece and story ends.

Yeah, I kinda suck.

Bye now.
