Rogues.

Rogues...

The word echoed in my mind.
My gamma Logan was taking care of white moon territory in my absence. But with the rogue attack, he won't be able to handle the situation there. I don't want my Pack members to get panic attacks just because of their alpha found his mate. My presence will give them mental support and hope. I will never let my pack feel down.

Immediately I mind linked Henry and other warriors who were here to get ready for the fight. We all agreed to meet outside the blood moon pack territory.

I looked down at my beautiful mate, she was still waiting for me to kiss her. In her drunken state, she was looking very cute. Only if I had options to choose, I will spend my whole life staring at her. My beloved mate was in my arms. Everything was so perfect but rogues attacked my pack.

I don't have much time but without telling her I can't leave. She might feel rejected if I leave her at this moment. She is luna of white moon pack, she deserves to know. But I don't know what her reaction will be? My alpha responsibility is to keep my pack safe whether she likes it or not. I took a deep breath and spoke, "I need to leave."

My voice broke her state of mind. Her hazel eyes, I want to drown in them. I can see confusion in her face.

I wish I could tell her that my heart wants me to take her with me. But, it won't be a good idea. I want her safe and I will protect her till my last breath.
"Why?" She asked in confusion.

"My pack needs me." I can't lie to her but telling half-truth felt better than her scared face. Inside, I hope she will not ask me the reason.

"You should go and help them." She said in her sweetest drunk voice.

I thought she will get angry or ask me to get lost. But wants me to help my pack without asking any questions. I wasn't expecting this response from her.

"Why are you still here? Go." She spoke again. She was upset a bit but she understood.

She cared even in that situation where she didn't even know anything about me and my pack. She doesn't even know that we're mates.
She is going to be a great Luna.

"I will and you should go and rest too. I will be able to concentrate there only if you are safe."

"Okay," she shook her head and replied to me. It seems like she can understand me already.

I took her out of the party. She looked very happy and tired. I took her straight to my room. While unlocking the door I felt her head on my shoulders.

"Thanks for the wonderful evening." She spoke in a low voice. I can say she will fall asleep very soon.

I open the door and turned lights on. She walked straight to the bed and let her body relax on it. She is already sleeping, I pulled sheets on her. Turned off the lights and was about to leave the room when I heard her say, "I don't want to remember you like a dream. Stay with me."

"I promise when you open your eyes tomorrow, I will be here." I know she didn't hear that because she is already sleeping.

I locked the room and started to run towards my pack members. My wolf suggested to take over and I let him, in wolf form we will be more quick and faster. I mind linked Henry to confirm their positions.

'We are waiting for you, alpha.' Henry responded.

The white moon pack is closest to the Blood moon pack. It didn't take us much time to reach inside pack territory. The environment was silent. I can smell rogues everywhere but there wasn't bloodshed or fighting scene. I can feel some of my pack members were hurt but not seriously.

'Logan where are you?' I called out for my gamma.

'Alpha, We came to nearby northern territory of the pack. Rogues are using no man land as their protection.'
Something was not right here, I can feel it.

'Henry, stay here with other pack warriors. I am going towards the northern territory.'

"Alpha" Logan bowed to me as soon as I reached there.

"What is happening here? Why you all are in human form?"

"Rogues are everywhere but they are behaving differently. They are not killing. It seems like they have a plan or something. They attacked and went to hide again."

We smell rogue coming towards us. Two-pack warriors who were already in wolf form nodded towards me and ran to hunt rogues.

I saw two rogues coming out of the forest, they started to fight with my pack members. They weren't exactly fighting they were just hurting my pack members and enjoying.

One of my pack members moved forward for a kill, the rogue wolf started to laugh and ran in the opposite direction.

What the hell was going on here, we have wasted too much time on these stupid wolves. I don't want to waste my time on them.

Henry mind linked that he found some wolf in the eastern territory and they are also behaving the same.

'Alpha, I killed one rogue and his body kind of smells like alpha Gabriel' Henry spoke through the mind link.

'Watch your mouth, Henry, You are trying to blame an alpha for a rogue attack.'

'I am sure alpha, I can smell alpha Gabriel scent on him. You can also verify it.' Henry responded confidently.

I trust Henry but I need proof in my hand. Why Gabriel would do that? Attacking my pack with the help of rogues but why? They are hiding something but what?

Why? How? There are so many questions in my mind but Right now my pack is my responsibility.  I know what I need to do.

'Henry, keep that body-safe.' Immediately job was done. We were not allowed to attack rogues in no-man land, But now we know they have some motive.

I just wanted to finish all this bullshit as soon as possible. I need to deal with two alphas, one alpha Gabriel and the one who was hurting my mate. My mate, just her thought made my heart a little soft. I have promised her to be there when she wakes up.

'Warriors of the white moon, we are not going to play this hide and seek anymore. Mask your scents, We are going to attack rogues, if you can't catch them alive, kill them. If you find their leader, inform me immediately.'

My alpha voice gave them complete support and the freedom to kill our enemies. All pack warriors were ready to execute the plan.

According to the plan, we all masked our scent and entered in no-man land. Three rogues were coming in our direction with a playful smile on their faces. One of them jumped to hit my head like a game, my wolf lifted his paw and slit his throat. Rogue's limp body fell down. Horror flashed in other rogue's eyes. They were shocked, my pack warriors took the chance and killed them immediately.

Rogues were everywhere, slowly we entered the deep forest. Killing each and every rogue we found in our way.
Rogues understood that they were going to get killed, so they started to run. My wolf refused to let them go, he ran and strangled one of the wolves.

"Shift", my wolf ordered.

He shifted immediately. One of the pack members gave a pair of shorts to him. Two warriors caught him by his hands under my instructions. I will deal with him later.

I looked around for any traces of rogues but didn't found it. We were in deep forest, no rogue will dare to attack my pack after today's encounter. The white moon pack was safe again.

I instructed some of the pack warriors to stay and observe pack borders, rest were allowed to go back. I know some of my pack warriors wanted to go back to Blood moon pack to be with their mates. Yeah, we all left in a hurry.

Logan confirmed that rogue was in dungeons. My wolf howled in joy to be with our mate. He started to run towards her. We don't care about tiredness. Her beautiful face will take away our stress, pain, and tiredness.

When I reached Blood moon territory, the sun was about to rise. Thank you, moon goddess, I reached before time.
I will just sit aside and watch her sleeping. This time our interaction will be real. I was missing her badly.

I applied breaks on my thoughts, as soon as I reached in front of the door she was in. My heart was beating very fast, anyone can hear it. I decided to shift in human form, as I don't want to scare her.

After changing into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, slowly I opened the door.

The bed was empty. She was not there. She was gone.

Sorry for the late update.  I am shifting my house and my office time got changed too. With so many things happening this month, I couldn't update.
