Grayson's POV

I sat on the chair beside me. Closed my eyes for a while. I need to calm down, otherwise, my wolf will take over.

"I can't tell you how happy I am to see you in front of me. I was looking for you and your friends everywhere, but no luck. Last night I met her and today morning she is missing again. Do you know where she is?"

"Who?" She spoke in a very low voice.
Shit, I didn't tell her Skylar's name till now.
"Skylar.you know her right?" I asked again.

"Sky???.... issss....Your mate?" Her voice was shattering. Her eyes went wide like she couldn't believe what I just said.

"Yes, she is my mate."

"How is that possible?" She asked that to herself. What does that mean?

"Which pack you are from?" I asked. She was in deep thought. Henry spoke instead of her, "Bluestar pack". We have the answer we were waiting for. Now I know why rogues attacked last night. Everything was planned.

"Do you know where she is now?" I asked her again.

"Alpha" her face was full of worries. She shook her head. She understood why I was angry but I couldn't understand her worries.

"Skylar has a mate. Last night I was there when he took her."
No!!!!!!!

"Calm down wolfie, don't do something stupid. She didn't know about us till last night. We need to talk to understand the whole situation."

I tried to calm down my angry wolf.
My wolf just rolled his eyes.

"She is mine." I growled.

"I am not lying alpha. She is a very good friend of mine."

"Skylar is my mate, Your Luna. Just because she is not familiar with wolf culture, I won't allow anyone else to claim her as theirs." I get it now.

Someone was behind all this shit. He made everyone believe that Skylar was his mate. But who? The one who was hurting her. Someone was enjoying the whole situation by hurting a human, who was my mate.

"Who is her so-called mate?"

"Alpha Gabriel." Serena spoke.

Everything was as clear as water now. My whole pack understood the situation, their Luna was in. Everyone was angry and ready to get revenge on Gabriel.

"We are going to Bluestar pack to get your Luna. Get ready." I told my pack members.

So many pack members wanted to join me to get their Luna but I can't allow that.

"Alpha did she know? " Serena asked me. I looked at her with confusion.

"That you are her mate. Did you tell her?"

"No, I was about to tell her but because of rogue attack I couldn't."
I should have told her.

"Oh," that was the only response I got from her.

"Alpha" Serena sat down on her knees in front of me. The whole pack went silent. Everyone was watching her. What she was doing?

"I don't know who is her real mate But, Alpha Gabriel never missed a chance to hurt her. He always used their bond to hurt her. Please save her. And please allow me to come with you. I want to be there for my friend."
I knew that he was hurting Skylar. I too have felt those pains through our dreams.

No one can have two mates. I wonder what kind of bond she was sharing with Gabriel.

I wish aunt Liliana was here, she would have helped me using her witch power. According to grandma, aunt should arrive anytime.
But I can't wait till she comes. I will kill that bastard, his death will be freedom from those stupid bonds.

"Please alpha." Her voice pulled me back from my thoughts.

"You can come with us only in one condition. On the way, you have to tell me each and everything about Skylar." She happily agreed to that.

A rogues smell filled my nostrils. I looked around for the source and my eyes got fixed on Serena again. I can see, She wasn't carrying Henry's mark yet. I totally understand they need some time before they mark each other, which they didn't get till now. Still, she should not smell like a rogue.

"Serena, why do you smell like a rogue to me?" I asked her.

"Alpha Gabriel banished me from the pack. I along with my four friends wasn't allowed to go for the mating celebration. So, we ran away... Last night Alpha Gabriel caught us in Blood moon territory. He declared all of us as rogues and took Skylar with him stating that she belongs to him. I was there but couldn't help her. He threatened to kill all of us if tried to go nearby Bluestar territory."

How can an alpha do this? Loud gasps could be heard from all pack members around us. I was beyond angry. She wanted to come with me even after Gabriel's threat. She was worthy of being a beta female.

I picked a knife from the table and asked Serena for her hand. She gave me her left hand. I made a large cut in our palms. Blood was coming out from our hands. I joined my hand with her.

"I alpha Grayson of white moon pack, accept you, Serena, mate of Henry Williams as our pack member. Welcome to the pack." Now she will smell like one of us. I can see her emotions were all over the place. All pack members started to cheer and welcomed her with their whole heart.

I can only imagine how much respect and happiness they will pour for Skylar. I was really lucky to get such pack members, they all were like a family to me.

As planned, we left for Bluestar territory. We all changed into our wolf form, In our wolf form, we will reach there before evening.

Serena told me each and every incident and other details she knew about Skylar using our pack link. Serena was really nice. She willingly allowed me to read her thoughts. I saw how she was always there for Skylar. I feel guilty for getting angry with her. I shouldn't have behaved like that to her.

Blue Star pack wasn't so far. We almost crossed no man's land. Now we needed to cross a river which was surrounded by stones. After crossing the river we will enter Bluestar territory.

We decided to take a short rest beside that river. No one got to sleep last night, remember. I won't get any sleep until Skylar wasn't in my arms. I appreciate my pack members' efforts, so I sat on a stone at some distance from that river.

The sun was almost setting down. Wolves can easily see things in the night too, so I don't have to care about how I was going to find her or kill that bastard.

My pack members were eating whatever they found. But my wolf was hungry only for Gabriel's blood.

The smell of sandal and roses filled my nostrils. This one belongs to my mate, I stood immediately and started to follow her divine smell. From the mark, I gave her last night, I can feel she was nearby.

I was standing on my four legs on the bank of the river. My eyes were scanning the whole area. Now I can hear some growling sounds. It was coming from a cliff, I closed my eyes and tried to follow her smell. Both sound and her smell were coming from a particular cliff.

Whatever was happening there, wasn't good. I felt Skylar's panic through our bond. I started to run towards that cliff. Midway, I saw something falling from that cliff.

That was her, she was my mate, falling from a cliff.

No!!!!!!!!

The bottom of the cliff was full of stones, her human body won't survive this fall. My wolf started to run. In order to save her, I needed to make sure she falls on my wolf's fluffy body.

We both reached the ground at the same time. She fell on my wolf's body.  I was so worried about her. I heard a bone crackling sound which was not mine.

Shit, I thought I saved her. She fell on me then how?

Immediately, I changed into my human form. I took my unconscious mate in my arms and looked for any injury caused by fall. Her right leg was bleeding, her leg hit on a stone.

If I was fast enough, I could have saved her from a leg injury.

There I realized something which shocked me more than her leg injury.

She wasn't breathing.
