Chapter 19
'I'm falling
to pieces.'
He growls, kissing me roughly on the lips. I make it last only a few seconds and pull away, moving back.
"That was great!"
I lie blatantly through my teeth and throw a fake smile just to top it all off. He grins, pulling me towards his bedroom.
Making sure the door is shut, he strides over to me, ready to attack his prey. I grin, playing with the hem of my top and I bite my lip, genuinely feeling disgusting.
He pounces on me, never leaving any part of my skin untouched. As soon as he tries to touch the bottom half of my clothing, I get up and sway my hips, walking towards his bedroom door.
"It's really late. I've gotta go to sleep."
His eyes are pitch black and frankly, it's the best sight ever. First step to success. "Remember what I said Quinn, I love games."
I smirk, an evil glint shining in my eyes. "Then get ready to play this one Alpha, you might not win this time."
And I swagger out, shutting the door slowly, teasing him.
"High-five me right now girl, you are a little seductress. No wonder I could hear grunts in the night. It was definitely form the Alpha's room. I bet he wa-"
I slap my hand over her mouth, blushing furiously. "Ew! Can't you keep it Pg12 please?"
She sniggers, staring funnily at me. "Why? You've already done the dirty, you know everything. Why are you acting so innocent?"
I roll my eyes and smack the back of her head. We continue to mess around, not really doing much.
That's until we hear the alarm. I hear Lea gasp next to me and she jumps up, grabbing a backpack from under my bed that I didn't even know existed.
She then proceeds to sprint into her room and do the same.
"What's going on?!"
She hurriedly jogs around, stuffing random crap into the already pretty full backpack. She shots me one and I catch it effortlessly, confused.
"Answer my question!"
She stares at me hard, grabbing a few other items at the same time.
"Don't you remember from when you were in this pack? I'm sure you weren't that young!"
Then it clicks. The pack alarm. We are under attack.
"Crap! Crap crap crap! I am not prepared for this! How the hell? What the-"
And that's when I figure something out for the second time. The warning. The message. The Moonshine Pack.
I start panicking and I grab anything close to me for defence.
My mate runs into the room, nearly snapping the door of its hinges. "Are you okay?" He looks all over my body, making sure I'm okay.
"Why the hell are you not with your pack?! Get away! We can defend ourselves! Go!"
He nods furiously and runs out, after sliding two daggers across the floor. My daggers. He looks at me one last time and then sprints away, ready to defend the pack.
"What the hell are those?"
Lea nods towards the daggers and I pick them both up, kissing them. "They're mine. And I love them."
She quirks an eyebrow and I push her out of the room, eager to find out where the other two girls are.
Rhea runs towards us with a bright pink bag and drags Isla with her. "I found her munching on food when the alarm went off. We gotta go to all the other females and children."
I nod. But why am I going? Technically, I'm the Luna of this pack. I should defend this pack with my life. Yes they haven't been the best, but I'm supposed to make them better, right? And if not for the pack, at least for my friends.
I stop running and watch their backs disappear around a turn. It's better if I don't say good bye.
I run into the kitchen, grabbing knives from the drawers.
Ducking below a window, I see wolves on wolves, blood dripping endlessly on the floor. Wolves are dead on the floor, their eyes wide open, still.
I gulp, aiming at someone trying to attack my mate. If I aim for someone like that, then I know they're against the pack because right now, everyone looks the same to me: ruthless and killing machines.
The kitchen knife flys out of my hand and lands near the heart. The wolf howls and falls on its side, crying in pain.
I continue to do this, hitting wolf after wolf until the kitchen knife supply ends.
I hear a little whimper from behind me and see a teenage girl crouched near a table, using a chair as wall.
I crawl towards her, sitting next to her. "Why aren't you with the rest of them?"
Her eyes widen and she locks them with mine, terrified.
"I was following them. I was! Just like the girl at the front told us too! But they all disappeared! They all disappeared..."
She hugs her knees to her chest and her voice breaks towards the end. "It's okay, come with me."
She looks at me, grabbing my hand and feeling my Luna aura surround her. "Who are you?"
I roll my shoulders backwards and roll my sleeves up. "Hi, I'm Quinn. Previously an Omega, I am a rogue and your soon to be Luna."
"Woah."
"Woah indeed."
She trails behind me, her brown hair coming into her face. It's curly and small, framing her heart shaped face.
Rhea sprints out, her eyes panicky. "Where's Harriet? I can't find her! Harriet!"
I look back and nod at her, questioning her without words. She nods, understanding what I'm saying. "I'm here! I'm here with Quinn!"
Rhea pops up in front of us and raises an eyebrow at me. "I thought you were following us?"
I shake my head and push Harriet towards Rhea. "Take her with you! I'm going." Before she can say anything, I'm off.
I push the front door open slightly and I'm met with the sounds of howls, screams and shouting.
Mostly male.
I scoff and run out, shocking a lot of familiar faces. I see the Beta look at me curiously and then get slashed because of it.
I only have daggers, and they're for a few rogues at a long distance, not a battle in the middle of a pack.
I groan, knowing the only way to fight is to shift.
Kissing my daggers, I run back into the house and place them safely in some drawers. Then I let the shift happen.
Each bone in my body cracks in numerous different directions and my eyesight and hearing improve immensely. I smell my mate's blood and much more blood.
My wolf howls and jumps out, racing towards someone who smelt like they were from a different pack.
I watch it's head snap towards me and it's eyes widen, knowing its reaction time is too late. I bite down hard and claw it's under belly while I'm at it, making sure it's dead.
A growl from behind stops me clawing the wolf in front of me and j turn just in time to see a wolf pouncing on me.
I growl in return and make sure that I'm not trapped by its huge four paws. I slash his underbelly and he howl lowly, staggering back. Using this opportunity, I claw his face and then claw his heart.
There is no kindness on the battlefield. I learn this tonight.
DAYUMN, fighting is at its peak. I'm trying to keep up my 'an update a day' kinda thing because I know most people will then continue to read my story.
But meh, it's hard. Because I have so much on my plate. Got a science test coming and found out I only got 53% on my English. But, the average was 46% so, I guess that's a okay.
Anywho, some questions:
Do you think Quinn has made the right decision by joining the fight?
Have I described the fighting scene properly?
What do you think is going to happen?
What's your plans for today? (Everybody loves a good Saturday)
Do you have any of your own book on Wattpad?
If so, what genre?
^.^
