When Jeremiah Skyes was 18 years old, he was in love. In love with Sam Wilson. They were the sickly sweet couple, despite how taboo an interracial gay couple might be, no one dared to mess with them. On May 22nd, 1998, the cops declared it a cold case and stopped looking. However, the case of the missing lover never left Sam Wilson's mind. He thought joining the air force would help him, but he never forgot. In 2014, almost 18 years after the boy disappeared, a new threat shows up alongside the Winter Soldier. A man named Erebus. okay so I randomly had this idea... strangely while listening to a One Direction song and I planned to just file it away and not work on it for awhile until things settle down and then Tisha recommended Leo as the face claim and now I'm hype as shit, so here is a Sam Wilson fic! It's set mainly during Winter Soldier & Civil War and I doubt it'll carry on into Infinity War unless I want like... a really long fic and I don't think I have to heart to take it into Infinity War because... well... ya know. Also, the story will include sappy flashbacks hence why I added a gif of young leo!!
