My body bolts up from bed, slightly throwing off the covers. The same terrifying nightmare. I'm breathing ragged and unsteady. I grip my forehead and sink back to the headboard. My head throbs. Morning already. I moan and wish I could just sleep forever. I hear a rapid knocking at the door. "SHUT IT!" I bark. I slowly get up and walk to the door. I grab the handle and slowly open it. Hanje. I groan. "What do you want four eyes?" I snap. Hanje jumps up and down and slightly giggles

"I just have some AMAZING discoveries about some titan transformations" she chirps. I look at the clock behind her. "At TWO IN THE MORNING!" I growl. Hanje stops jumping. "But sir...aren't you usually up at this time?". I rub my eyes. "Well today...I'm as tired as hell" I mumble. Hanje scratches her head. "Hmmmmm...MAYBE I SHOULD INSPECT YOU!". 

I slam the door at her and return back to my bed. I sit back down and blink a couple times. Tears? "Oh god" I mutter. Hanje must have seen me with tears in my eyes. I sigh and lay back down. The room was spinning. I clutch my head in frustration. I couldn't go back to sleep. I sit up again and stand. I slowly walk up to the window, cool morning air rushing in. I look out at the quiet town. I rest my head on my arms and close my eyes. "If Petra...were here" I sigh holding back tears. "She would love it".

I slap myself a bit, realizing she must have seen this view at least a couple times. I could imagine her at the window. Her face lit up with excitement. Her beautiful orange-brown hair flowing in the wind. Her hand extended out, longing to touch the astonishing nature. "Heichou" I hear her voice whisper in my ear. "Look at all of this". The sun slowly peaks over the land. Petra disappears without a trace. I stand up and sob into my hands. She was gone. "Dammit" I sobbed. "DAMMIT!".
