"Dedrei, what are you up to?" Nessa asked from the kitchen door.

"I'm busy with our treats for the All Hallows Eve party on Saturday."

"What are you making?"

"I'm using some old recipes of my mother. I'm making different chocolate and toffee dipped candy. "

"Sounds good. Do you need some help?"

"Sure!"

"Wonderful! What do you need me to do?"

"Cut the meat into one inch squares."
"Wow!! Meat candy? This is new. What's that you've got in that bowl over there? It looks interesting." Dedrei said pulling a bowl filled with chocolate candy closer to her. "This is really going to scare your guests on Saturday. Eye balls, ears, fingers and toes. This is really good." Nessa said raising her eyebrows and biting into one of the candy fingers.

"Eeeeeuh, this is disgusting. This is a real finger." She shouted chucking the finger away from her.

"Hahahaha don't be so dramatic love. It's not that bad. By the way, the candy is not for you, it's for our guests. You know how humans think that chocolate is a vocation of sweet delight." Dedrei said laughing.

"How did you get the bones so crunchy? It's absolutely awful."

"Years ago I found a book of my mother's that had all these potions in. I used one to make human bones edible. These bones over here I will saw into different shapes." Dedrei said excitedly. "When the body is all cut up, we'll put the meat into the red jelly and keep it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then we will dip the jelly into different chocolates flavors." She moved around the body showing Nessa where to cut the body and how.

"This is ghastly. I don't think I can do it."

"Oh, that's strange. I thought you would love to help, seeing that this was your most favorite human in the world."

"Wh ... who is this? This is not Be ... Bearach, is it?"

"Yes, the one and only. Let's continue, shall we? We need to leave the bones in the potion overnight so that it can be crunchy enough to chew. When it's edible we will dip it into toffee and wrap it up. We don't have a lot of time so I suggest we better get started." She said with a huge smile and gave Nessa a wink.

Conal Ahearn the VI, the guardian of Dingle noticed that his assistant Bearach Connelly has been missing for three days. The last time he saw him he was on his way to the library to do some research on the Delaney family. He knew that Bearach was up to something, but he didn't know what. He gave Bearach the assignment to keep watch on the Delaney family because he knew 'what' they were. The only thing he didn't know was why they came back after all that years. After he couldn't find Bearach he started doing his own research.

He went around town asking everyone if they knew the whereabouts of Bearach. The only one that had some information was the Mayor's daughter Edana Fannon. The last time she saw him was three days ago talking to Cathal. He decided to go have a little talk with Cathal. Maybe he knows where Bearach is. He saw Cathal walking to the Dingles Coffee shop.

"Cathal, wait up." Conal shouted as he ran over to him.

"Hay Conal. How have you been. Is everything okay? You look overwhelmed."

"I'm good, thank you. I'm just a little worried about Bearach. I can't find him anywhere. You haven't seen him have you?"

"No sorry I haven't seen him at all." Cathal said distracted.

Conal felt something was wrong, but he pretended to believe him. "It's fine. He probably just went off fishing again without telling me. I'll just go down to the shore and see." He lied trying to keep the suspicion out of his voice.

"That's probably what he did. I'm sorry I have to get going. St Nicholas Inglis is waiting for me at the coffee shop. I'll let you know if I hear anything about your friend." Cathal said with a smile.

Conal knew something bad had happened to Bearach. He could feel the nervousness radiating off Cathal. Now that Bearach was missing, Conal knew he had to figure out the reason the Delaney family was back. They had no idea that he knew about them.

Conal went to the library to see what Bearach was researching. The Librarian was kind enough to show him to the room where he was doing his research. He found old dusty newspapers of the 1800's about Dingle. He also found scribes done by his ancestors that Bearach was reading. He read about how the Delaneys ruled the town in the 1800's and how the population only got less in the year 1849.

"Lorcan?" Conal asked himself. He was taken aback by what he read in the diary that was passed on to him by his ancestors. His predecessor killed Lorcan.

"But why are they back?" He asked confused. He saw another book below all the paperwork on the desk. He opened it and saw it contained different ancient rituals. Then he saw a ritual that is done on All Hallows' Eve that could bring back dead vampires.

He knew what he had to do. He just hoped he would be able to do it in time of All Hallows' Eve. It was time to contact an old acquaintance, Vincent. He was an expert in killing vampires. Conal knew the only way to stop the family from brining Lorcan back, was to get help from outside of town.
