I heard Max yell.

"HELLHOUND!"

Luca turned around, fear in his eyes.

I lunged, knocking Luca out of the way.
I got in a defensive position, tail rigid, teeth bared.

I snarled, I wasnt going to let my family get hurt.

The HellHound bent down, bottom in the air, tail wagging?

The HellHound was in a play position.

"Mrs. O'Leary! Cmere girl!"

I snarled towards the voice.
The HellHound barked happily, as loud as an artillery gun. I flinched at the sound.

Soon a man came out of the woods, I growled at him, backing up towards Max and Luca, debating whether or not it would be easier to protect them as a human.

Addie, he doesnt want to hurt us, but he will if you attack.

How do you know for sure Luca? I stopped growling, but kept glaring at the man. 

I knew you werent dangerous, didnt I? He reasoned.

I huffed, getting out of the defensive position, but kept my eyes on the man and the seemingly playful HellHound.

The man watched us, watched my actions. I took the opportunity to take a better look at him. He had black hair, pale skin. He wore black skinny jeans, a black shirt and an aviators jacket. He had a black sword at his side, but he made no move to grab it.

I decided he was ok. I walked up to him slowly. Luca, make sure Max doesnt freak

Just as he finished, I heard an arrow being nocked, I turned.
Max had the bow out, an arrow nocked and ready. I gave a soft warning growl, he lowered the bow, though the arrow was still nocked.

I turned back to the man, he looked back. I could sense the curiosity rolling off him.

I walked up to him, thankfully he kneeled down to my level.

I was right in front of him, he reached his hand out. I leaned into it, giving him a doggy grin.

"Youre a demigod arent you?" He whispered, only I could hear.

I nodded. Can you hear me?

He didnt give any sign he could hear me. "Are they demigods too?"

Looking at the boys again, I nodded.

He sighed, standing up.
He looked down at me.

"Can you shift?" I knew both Max and Luca could hear him.

I looked back, Max was incredibly confused and somewhat wary. Luca looked excited.

Should I, Luca? I trotted towards him.

I think you should Addie, Max would find out sooner or later. He pet my head, I leaned into the touch.

Ok I nodded, the man waited patiently, while Max looked worried.

I stepped away from Luca.

Here goes nothing and I shifted.
