As Steve looks up at the morning sky from the ravine where he stays he's found that nighttime was better to move around after the whole void creature incident and it was hard for him because he also had to stay in Herobrine's line of sight and hearing but Steve had to make due with what he can but he found it odd how one of the younger enderman called Ira stated about how Notch's apprentice and second in command dethroned Notch. Steve only met the apprentice once and kinda knew his name due to Herobrine mentioning it "Jeb... so you really did dethrone and take over the Aether..." Herobrine muttered under his breath but it was clear enough for Steve to hear and be curious but didn't say anything but Herobrine knew what Steve was confused about "a dethroning of a god means their powers are stripped away from them and either banished or made to serve the new god..." was all Herobrine said in order for Steve to understand but before Steve can verbally state that he understands is when Mike walked in and gives his report.

Steve walked around his sleeping quarters which was next to Herobrine's but he felt off a hungry type off like a predator needing to catch and kill to eat but he didn't realize that he was hungry until now but because of it started to drive Steve nuts "oi Steve lad are ya alright? your panting..." Mike asked when he enters to the room only to freeze when he notices Steve's sclera go from white to pitch black along with a menacing growl "S-Steve?" Mike asked out of fear now and Steve had no control as he was in a void creature like state and he needed meat. "Steve don't do this..." Mike pleaded as he ran causing Steve to give chase but before Steve could even harm Mike an enderman intervened and kept a strong hold on Steve and stated that Mike should get Herobrine to which Mike nods to and runs off leaving the enderman with Steve who isn't himself but once Herobrine got there he immediately shoved a cooked steak into Steve's mouth causing Steve to devour it then soon look around confused "seems like we're going to have to watch your hunger... you went into a type of blind hunger like state..." Herobrine said causing Steve to flinch and his eyes to widen in fear as he almost hurt Mike, the enderman, and Herobrine which in turn Steve whines about. Herobrine hugged Steve close stating that it's okay and Steve will be given a scheduled feeding routine to which Steve nods to but he was still upset that he almost hurt the ones he cares about and he felt miserable because of it but Herobrine kept comforting him "Steve you didn't know... and you can't control your hunger... so if we make your food schedule then this won't happen again..." Herobrine said and rubs Steve's back.

After what happened and when he was supposed to sleep but the incident kept him awake until he passed out due to exhaustion to wind up face to face with the void creature who attacked him in the void itself "would you trade me your arms for being able to control your hunger...?" The creature asked "I don't want to hurt Mike, Ira, or Herobrine... or even anybody..." was Steve's response as the creature got close to his face "so we have a deal?" The creature asked or so demanded in which Steve nods but what happened was gruesome and bloody as the void creature literally bites off his arms causing Steve to cry out in pain and panic and it wasn't just happening in his dream but he was starting to bleed out a lot in his bed.

Ira walks passed Steve's quarters when he smelled a heavy scent of blood making him alert Herobrine who doesn't hesitate to heal Steve but didn't know where Steve's arms went but he didn't seem to care at the moment because he wanted to get the bleeding to stop. Due to all the pain and fear Steve woke up with a whimper to which Herobrine responds to by comforting Steve and not wanting to let him go "Steve... what happened...?" Herobrine asks "void creature..." was all Steve whimpered out causing Herobrine to growl lowly and demanded that Steve stay in his quarters with him the watch over and protect Steve.

Once Steve's wounds stopped bleeding Herobrine takes Steve to his chambers to watch over him the rest of the day but Herobrine knew Steve was still innocent by heart and would never harm anyone and didn't know anything about mating and such but Herobrine knew he might have to teach Steve it to watch out for that behavior and to avoid it and by now Herobrine noticed how jumpy Steve is by watching him knowing Steve could be physically and mentally be hurt by the void creature. Herobrine hated that Steve was suffering so much and cursed at the void creatures for he didn't want anymore of them to harm Steve.

Due to what happened Steve ain't allowed to go out of Herobrine's view which ment Herobrine watched over him twenty four seven.
