I went out early in the morning before the others.Walking, almost limping towards the clubroom.I saw coach standing next with Lakee

"Amari chan, you're up early"Coach said."Practice is much later but I believe you have something to tell me"

"Yes, I'm going somewhere and I just wanted to let you know.Don't tell Asuto and the team about it please"

"If this is about your injury then you don't need my approval for that"He said

"How did you--"

"Jiejie you always tap your foot whenever you're injured"Lakee said

"Li is that you?"I asked

"And I thought you recognized me back then you hurt me jiejie"He feigned

"I'm sorry to be fair you caught me off guard there.I didn't realize you came along with the old man here"

"I wanted to see you again.I missed you so much"

"I miss you too"I smiled."I better get going.."

I entered the hospital, I was escorted in a room where the doctor inspected my injury

"The swelling isn't as bad as before but I recommend rest.Too much stress can cause the inflammation to flare up again"She said

"But I have an upcoming game and-"

"Miss Yosano, resting is the quickest way for your ankle to recover"She interrupts

"How long till it heals?"I asks

"A week give or take.If you continue to rest then recovery will be fast"

After my checkup was finished, she recommended me a healing ointment that soothes the pain.I sighed

This is gonna be difficult than I thought..

Walking out the door, I saw a hint of pink hair from the distance.He entered the room but kept the door open

Was that..Nosaka?

I followed near the entrance, standing behind the room's door

"How are you Akane chan?"He asked

Wait Akane?..Haizaki's friend?

"I've been well Nosaka"She replied

"I just came to drop by and hand you these"He gave her a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas."Be sure to put these on water"

What is Nosaka doing with Akane?..

I didn't want to eavesdrop more on their conversation and left the hospital

"Yosano?"A voice asked, I turned around and saw him

"Haizaki?"

"What are you doing here?"He asked

"I just came by to buy medicine for the coach"I lied."How about you?Are you visiting Akane?"

"I've never mentioned that name..How did you know?"He asked pushing me against the alley wall, he grabbed on my shirt collar.I winced from the sudden force

I messed up..

"I heard from a friend.."I replied

"Tch.. you're lucky.I'm not in the mood for a fight"He scoffed, taking his hand off my collar.He walked away like nothing happened

That's unusual of him..

I went home and saw the others were waiting in the living room.They approached me once they saw my figure

"Yosano san where have you been?"Asuto asked

"Yeah we were worried sick"Norika said

"Coach wouldn't tell us where you were and thought something came up"Hiura said

"I'm fine its just there was an errand I had to take care of.Sorry I made you all worried"I apologized

"It's alright, what matters is your safety Yosano san"Captain reassured

"So, what did coach say?Who are we up against next?"

"Our match will be against Seishou Academy"Mansaku said

"Haizaki's team.."

"But we have a counter against their tactics this time"Hiro said

"That's great"I smiled

"Yosano san, you'll play with us right?"Asuto asked

They were all expecting my answer..

I couldn't let them down..

"Of course Asuto!"I replied

"Alright this time we'll definitely take it back!"They cheered, I sighed

Later that night

I couldn't sleep, the thought of my ankle kept me up at night.Standing up from my bed, I watched Norika soundly asleep beside me.Quietly closing the door, I walk out the balcony for some fresh air

"What am I gonna do?.."I asked myself

"Yosano san you're up late"A voice called, I turned around and saw the teal haired boy

"I should be telling you the same"I smiled."What are you doing here Hiura?"

"I always come up here at night, it helps clear my head"He said."What about you Yosano san?"

"Same here.."I smiled weakly

"Penny for your thoughts?"He asked, I sighed

"It's just..is there a time in your life where you want to say no but you can't because you're afraid you'll disappoint the ones you care about?"I asked, he looks at me eyes widenned

"I'm sorry that's too much isn't it?"

"Is this about the match against Seishou Academy?"He asked, I looked down ashamed."What's wrong?"

I looked into his eyes, it was filled with worry.I knelt down removing my shoes.I showed him my bruised ankle

"Since when did this started?!"He asks, inspecting my injury

"Our match with Teikoku Academy"I replied

"Why didn't you tell the others?"He asked

"I didn't want to let you all down.We were beginning to pick up and I couldn't risk my injury become the team's priority"

"You shouldn't play in this condition"He said

"I have to or else we'll lose"

"But your injury will become severe if you don't treat it quick!"

"Please..I need to do this"

"No you don't! You're important too Yosano san to me..and the team"

"Fine..but I'll still play for a bit"

"I'll help you if you ever need assistance"

"Thank you..you know you're too kind Hiura"I smiled, his face turned red

"T-thank you..I've heard people tell me that a lot"

"Please, don't tell the others about this"I pleaded, I looked him in the eyes.He nodded

The next day arrived, our match with Seishou Academy was about to begin

"This is the last game of the football frontier prelims! Due to their original opponents forfeiting the tournament.Raimon and Seishou Academy have returned, since their first match together, to duke it out once more!"The commentator said

This match I was placed as a midfielder replacing Hanta

"Goodluck Yosano san!"Hanta said, I gave him a thumbs up standing in my position

"Are you sure about this?"Coach asked, he used some kind of pressure point technique to make my ankle feel a little better

"I'm sure, you worry too much old man"I reassured him

"You were outstanding with your match with Teikoku, let's see if your skills are still up to the task"Kidou said

"I promise we won't disappoint"I smiled

"Good luck"He said, walking away

The match started Kidou passed the ball to Haizaki.Haizaki immediately kicked the ball from a long distance towards the goal.We all didn't have time to react and the ball entered the goal earning them a point.

"Goal!A stunning opening! For Raimon this match is their last stand!" The commentator said

"If they don't win their advancement to the football frontier finale will end and they've unwisely allowed a quick lead against them!"
