The next morning, I heard my
alarm beeping.I sighed, trying to turn the blasted thing off.I heard Norika groan beside me

"Shut up!"I shouted, finally the alarm stopped until.

Beep!Beep!Beep!

"Where the heck is that noise coming from?!"I yelled getting annoyed

"W-what's happening?!"She yelled,jolting up from her bed eyes half lidded

"Sorry about that Norika chan"I apologized, she murmured a few incoherrent words and soon went back to sleep

I look over the alarm but it was already off...standing up from my bed I look over what the fuss is all about..

"Good morning Yosano san!"Asuto greeted, leaving his room, humming happily.I've never met anyone so enthusiastic in the morning

"Do you know what that noise is all about?"I asked, he shrugged

"There goes my sleep schedule I guess.."We walked down and finally ate our breakfast.I quietly ate my toast leaving a few curse words here and there for ruining my sleep

"Amari chan there you are!"Coach called up to me

"What is it this time old man?.."I said with a heavy sigh

"What can't I ask my daughter how she's doing?"He smiled, I looked at him confused

"Well usually you just turn me into your errand girl"I replied

"Since you've work hard these past few days I'm giving you the opportunity to relax!"

"You mean it?"

"Of course"

"No tricks?No schemes?No ruses?"

"None whatsoever"

"Great I'll take my leave then"I smiled, walking away.I should probably inform Asuto and the others first.Grabbing my phone I texted the others, I was going to town.They replied soon wishing me have a great time and stay safe

I really don't deserve these guys I swear..

I saw an arcade once when we were running laps back then, I've always wanted to check it out

I saw a familiar grey haired boy near the crane games.I watched him get the bear plushie, the crane grabbed the bear and it was secured.It fell off the machine as he got the stuff animal

"Woah how did you do that?!"I asked, his eyes widenned

"What the-..don't sneak up on me!"He yelled

"I literally was watching you get the bear the whole time"I yelled back."I didn't expect to see you here Haizaki!"

"Who are you again?"

"Yosano Amari ring any bells?"

"Oh the one from Raimon the group of newbies"He replied nonchalantly

"Well for your information, we've actually improved from our last encounter!"

"Beginners luck"He spats, he went for another game.I followed close behind him

Wow he must really like kumazous..

"Why are you following me?"He asks stopping from his game

"Because you didn't answer my question"I replied

"What question?"

"How are you doing that?I thought crane games are a scam"

"I'm just that good"

"Well nobody gets good that easily.."

"I answered your question now buzz off"He said returning from his game

"Can you teach me though?"I asked, he looked at me then sighed

"If I teach you, will you get out of my face?"

"Of course!"

"Wow you're really bad at this.."He commented for the umpteenth time, the crane would grab the plushie but then suddenly slip and let go

"I told you it's such a scam!"I yelled, I repeatedly bump my head near the glass in frustration

"That's because you're so quick to grab.Here, I'll show you"He said walking towards the crane machine.Putting a coin on the slot, he began to move the crane

"Which one do you like?"He asks, I scanned the machine and I eyed a cute kumazou keychain

"That one!"I pointed, quickly he aimed his crane towards the keychain

"Don't take the thing too early, you need to see if it's positioned above the thing you want"He explains, he presses the button.Slowly the crane goes down and got the kumazou keychain

"Here"He said tossing the keychain towards me."Why choose that one though?"

"So we could match see!"I smiled, showing him the keychain resembling his.I noticed him look away for a second

"Don't be stupid.."He mumbled

"It's not stupid it's adorable"

"There you got your keychain you happy?"

"Very"I smiled."Thank you Haizaki!..which reminds me isn't your match with Kidokawa Seishuu tomorrow?"

"I'm not playing tomorrow.."He said

"What?Why?!"

"Why are you so eager to see me play?"He said getting annoyed

"Because I've never seen you play besides our team before!"I said."Aren't you a starter not a substitute though?"

"I decide whether I play or not"He answers."Don't tell anyone what happened today, got that?"

"I won't that is if you play tomorrow"I grinned, he looked at me wide eyed

"Hah?What are you achieving from this?"

"I just want to see you play is that too much to ask for?"He thought for a bit then left

I looked down by my keychain, I really hope he plays..

After playing by the arcade for about an hour, I left.There I saw a certain black haired boy walking towards me

"Yosano san!"He called

"Asuto?What are you doing here?"I asked

"Coach told me to run some errands.."He sighed."Do you have any idea where this is?"

"I think I saw that a few streets down.."I told him, he thanked me and left

When we got home, Kozoumaru explains that he saw Haizaki by the hospital earlier

"Revenge?"Mansaku asks

"Yeah, apparently that guy is playing soccer out of revenge"

"Haizaki?"Asuto asks."But why would playing soccer be an act of revenge?"

"It involves a girl named Akane"

"Akane who's that?"I asked him

"Is it his girlfriend"Norika says, I chuckled by her response

"He mentions the scales of ares but I don't know what he's talking about"Kozoumaru further explains

"Scales of Ares?"I ask

"It's an education system that's gotten popular lately"Mansaku explains."It schools you consistently, from early childhood into adulthood"

"What does have to do with Haizaki's revenge?"Asuto asks

"Don't get worked up, I don't know"

"Maybe it's a rival player trying to take away Akane from him or something.."Hiro said

"No I don't think that's like him"I muttered

"How would you know Yosano san?"Hiura asks

Wait I can't tell them..I made a promise

"Just a hunch I guess"I replied

"Well whatever it is I can't believe he'd play soccer for such a perverse and uninspired reason"

"But Haizaki's soccer is real"Asuto yelled."He wouldn't be able to play that kind of soccer if he was indifferent to it!"

"Asuto.."I muttered

"Being a strong player doesn't excuse him for being a troublemaker"Captain said

"Guess we'll see for ourselves tomorrow"Norika said

Since our match against Teikoku Academy wasn't anytime soon, we went and watch the match between Seishou Academy and Kidokawa Seishou.We were able to enter easily thanks to our license cards

"Who knew these things are so handy"I smiled, we entered the stadium and saw a huge crowd

"Look over there that's Nosaka Yuuma from Outei Tsukinomiya.He always looks cool"Ootani said pointing towards a pink haired boy along with his team being surrounded by fangirls

"Nosaka?"I asked tilting my head

"He's the one I told you is the most popular among player cards, remember?"

"He's that good?"Anna asks

"He's nicknamed the tactical emperor, his plays are amazing and he's really handsome too.Apparently he's also a perfect student, an ideal player"

"Don't tell me you're one of his fans?"I teased, she looks away shyly.Anna hums along focused at the pink haired boy

"What's this?Do I sense a tiny interest from him?"Ootani teases, back from her usual self

"Not at all"She replies, I saw him look towards me for a second and smiled at me

"Oh he looked at you!"Ootani said, shaking me briefly

"Is that a bad thing?"I asked.Don't tell me he's one of those playboys..

"No it's a good thing! It's unusual for him to catch interest so fast"She said

Why do I get the feeling like I'm stuck in one of those romance novels I used to read

We finally sat on our seats.I scanned the field searching for any signs of Haizaki

Guess he wasn't playing after all..

Wait a minute..

"I thought we would get to see a striker's showdown between the devil of the field, Haizaki and the flame ace striker, Gouenji but what's this?!Haizaki is playing as goalkeeper!"The commentator said

What was Kidou thinking?He's not fit to be a goalkeeper but a forward I yelled in my head, resting my hand below my chin

"Yosano san?Why do you think he changed positions?"Asuto asked, he sat beside me along with Kozoumaru

"No idea, I guess we'll see what the genius playmaker is up to.."I replied

"The game is finally over, Seishou Academy won!"The commentator said

It seemed like Haizaki finally realized what it truly meant to play soccer..I smiled watching him talk with his teammates

"That was an intense match"I said, looking at the two original Raimon players talking in the field."But will we ever reach their level?.."

"I'm sure we will Yosano san!"Asuto said."Come on, we should go now"

"You guys go ahead, I need to talk to someone right now"I smiled

"Then I'm coming with you!"He said

"Why?"I asked, tilting my head confused

"I don't know I just want to"He grinned, this kid really is something..

We walked towards the back and saw Haizaki.

"Haizaki!"Asuto called

"So you did play after all!"I said, he turns his attention but stops and continues to walk away

"Who are you?"He asked

"Huh?"Asuto said

"Is your hair grey because you're so old, you forget everyone you meet?"I ask, looking at him confused.

"Oh right that lame-on school,right?I remember"He scoffed

"I told you we're not lame!"I yelled

"Bye"He walks away

"Watching your plays always gets me fired up!"Asuto says

"Right they were intense than before!"I continued, he didn't say anything and continued walking

"Say..are you playing soccer for revenge?"I asked, he stops from his track

"That's none of your business"

"Haizaki soccer isn't a tool for revenge"Asuto says

"Shut up!"He yelled

"Asuto.."I muttered

"No matter what reason I play soccer for, I'm strong and that's all that matters"He says walking away

"Then tell me, you did enjoy playing soccer back there right?"I asked him, he stops and ponders for a bit then leaves
