🔯ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ᴏɴᴇ 🔯

Everyone had settled down again and Gina and Michael had a couch to themselves, the redhead had her head laid against her boyfriend's shoulder as the screen lit up and displayed.

2016

That faded and Gina glared at the screen, knowing that this was the year that changed everything. While Kol sat forward in his seat a little wanting to learn more about his daughter.

Feeling Gina tense, Michael held her hand tighter, knowing that this was a sensitive subject for his girlfriend.

March 15th, 2016.

That was the day Regina Goode's life changed, and not for the better.

That was the day she lost everything. There was an incident with her powers that resulted in the death of her little brother, Carson.

This time the full incident was shown, it showed how Regina was startled by a sudden noise, and she instinctively shot a ball of red energy in that direction, only to realize too late that it was Carson, her baby brother.

When the small body hit the floor and a feeling of dread swelled in her chest, is when Regina hit her knees and let out a gut-wrenching scream full of anguish as waves of red energy shot out from her and tears streamed down her face. "No... no... no...no..." was heard in a broken whisper as the sixteen-year-old knew that it was too late to save her brother.

Cordelia glared at the screen at the reminder that her baby boy was dead and that it was Regina's fault. No matter what story she was told, the Supreme knew that Regina had hurt him on purpose because she was jealous of him. After all, he was Cordelia's favorite.

Which was just bullshit because everyone knew that Regina adored her brother, well everyone except Cordelia that is.

Elena gave the girl a judgemental look at the fact that she was the reason that her brother was dead.

Gina scoffed seeing the look, "Oh please, not you of all people judging me, for an accident when you're own brother died because you couldn't handle being a vampire anymore and wanted to find the cure." Kol smirked at her remark, knowing that she was right.

Rebekah snorted, "Oh I like you."

Elena just scoffed and gave her an offended look, "Well that's different."

Micheal gave her a look... "is it Eileen? Is it different?"

"It's Elena."

"Is that not what I said? Whatever it doesn't matter because what you are not going to do is act like you're better than Gina, here because you have so much more blood on your hands than she does... we could go into all those details but I'm sure you don't want that." he leveled her with a flat look.

It's safe to say the doppelganger kept her mouth shut there.

It was an accident. Of course, it was an accident. Regina would never have hurt Carson on purpose - the girl adored her little brother, but she couldn't convince their mother that it was an accident.

Cordelia glared at the screen again, "because, of course, it wasn't an accident." She turned her glare to Regina.

Who leveled her mother with a cold glare, that made the woman slightly falter, but she hid it well, "That's bullshit... I adored that kid and everyone else fucking knew it... he wasn't supposed to be there, I was supposed to be alone he was supposed to be out with you when it happened."

Michael squeezed her hand again, making her turn away from her mother and look back at the screen as Gina silently seethed, she felt a tiny spark within her at the rage that was starting to boil in her gut.

A tiny almost unnoticeable flash of red went through her eyes, Michael, Kol, Lucifer, and Gabriel were the only ones to notice it though, and it was gone as quickly as it appeared.

Lucifer smirked at seeing that, knowing that his son had been looking into ways to give Gina her powers back he noted that it might be easier than they anticipated, while Michael made a note to look into that later as the screen started playing again.

Kol of course was curious but said nothing as no one else mentioned it either.

Her mother locked her powers away and then kicked her out of the Coven, leaving the heartbroken 16-year-old to fend for herself.

The scene showed shots of Cordelia doing the spell that locked Gina's powers away.

Gina felt the anger bubble up inside of her once again.

Bonnie gave the girl a sympathetic look, she also knew what having her magic taken felt like, so she felt sorry for Gina. Said witch just rolled her eyes seeing the look, she didn't need her sympathy or want it.

Gina knew that they would figure out how to get around the spell it would just take time, she had faith that Micheal could do it.

The once-powerful witch, now stripped of her powers, found herself being drawn away from New Orleans and towards the City of Angels - Los Angeles, California.

What was waiting for her there, she had no idea, but she was more than willing to find out. After all, she was being drawn there for a reason, right? What did she have left in New Orleans now that she was no longer a part of the Coven? Nothing, that's what.

Kol glared at Cordelia, "my daughter was right under my nose the whole time and I never even knew it?" He thought about how he had been in New Orleans, where Gina had grown up, and didn't even know about her.

So she left.

"The best decision I ever fucking made, even if my hand was forced there... though I do wish I had known about my father being right fucking there and could have met him before now."

Cordelia avoided looking at everyone there, but she was still glaring at the screen.

It took her a week to get there - she walked all the way from New Orleans. How else was she supposed to get there? She had nothing but the clothes on her back, and no money.

Her so-called mother left her with nothing.

Kol once again gritted his teeth at the reminder that the woman hadn't told him that he was a father, that if he had known he could have done something to help Regina out.

Little did she know what the dark fates had in store for the former witch, drawing her to where she needed to be to play her part in the prophecy.

Michael and Gina shared a smirk because that was true, neither of them knew at that time what was in store for them, but they quickly learned and stood tall at each other's side. Even if they still didn't know that they were soulmates.

Lucifer smirked at that, giving Cordelia an 'I told you so' look. Which made her gulp slightly. But in her mind she knew that she did the right thing, locking Gina's powers away, but she was a little nervous now, seeing as it was her fault that her daughter helped jump-start the Apocalypse.

"What does that mean?" Caroline questioned.

Gabriel looked at her, "That will be revealed soon." she nodded at the archangel accepting the answer.

Gina rolled her neck, working the kinks out as she walked towards this little diner-like place.

She walked through the doors, causing the little bell on the door to ring, taking a seat at one of the booths in the back, out of everyone else's sight.

A waitress walks over with a smile. "What can I get for you, sweetheart?"

The teen combed her fingers through her tangled hair. "Nothing. I don't have any money. I just need to rest for a few minutes."

She gave Gina a kind smile. "Just this once, I'll give you whatever you want, on the house."

Gina smiled at the sight of the waitress, "she was so nice."

Regina shook her head, "That's not necessary."

But the waitress wouldn't take no for an answer, "Come on. One-time offer."

Regina let out a sigh. "Okay." and looked over the menu for a moment. "Some coffee and pancakes."

The waitress nodded, "Coming right up, sweetheart."

Gina grinned at her boyfriend, "Oh look, it's gonna show our first meeting." Micheal just chuckled at her.

Their meeting changed everything before they met he thought that he had no one that he could trust and count on, seeing as everyone in his life had abandoned him at some point, but then there was the fiery redhead, that he had felt drawn to from the moment she stepped into that diner.

She walks away, and then, out of nowhere, a boy with curly strawberry-blond hair sits down across from Gina. "You look like hell."

The 16-year-old rolled her eyes. "You try walking across four states in a week, with nothing but the clothes on your back. Pretty sure you'd look like hell too."

Maze snorted "Wow Gina was not having any of that."

Gina laughed "I really was not in the mood "

"Hmm... You're feisty. I like that."

She finally looked him in the eyes, and it was like the snappy quip just died in her throat, her only thought at that moment was 'damn, this boy is beautiful... Those blue eyes that seem to stare into your soul.'

Michael just gave his girlfriend a teasing smirk. While Maze once again snorted... "damn Gina you were a goner from the first eye contact."

Gina chuckled, Maze was right, so she just shrugged. "It was very unexpected but over time meeting Michael changed everything."

He smirked at her. "What? No snappy comeback?"

Gina rolled her eyes "Shut up."

The boy gave her a look "Will you at least tell me your name then?"

"Regina. My name is Regina. What about you?"

He gave her a charming yet boyish grin. "Michael."

"Awh." Caroline couldn't help but squeal.

The waitress comes back with a tray with Gina's order on it. "Here you go, sweetheart."

She smiled at the kind lady. "Thank you."

The woman smiled at her "You're welcome, it was no problem at all." She walks away and Michael looks at Gina with a raised eyebrow. The former witch rolled her eyes "What? She's feeding a poor girl with nothing to her name. She's being very kind to me; the nicest anyone has been to me in a long time."

He looks at her with curious eyes. "What happened to you?"

Gina let out a snort looking back at him "We just met, bud, no need to scare the shit out of you just yet."

He smirks again. "You never know, it might not 'scare the shit' out of me."

"I know that now, but back then I literally knew nothing about you."

"That is very true my love."

Gina finished her food giving Michael one last look. "Yeah, well, maybe another time, Michael." with that she slid out of the booth and smiled at the nice waitress as she walked out of the doors, leaving a very curious Michael sitting in the booth staring after her.

The screen faded out after that.

Bonnie looked at Michael, remembering what he had said about Elena, "What did you mean when you said Elena had more blood on her hands?"

The antichrist smirked giving his girlfriend a look, "Want to take this one, my love?"

"I'd love to, darling." Gina also had a smirk on her face, as she looked at the Bennett witch, "Well what my boyfriend meant by that is a lot of blood was shed unnecessarily might I add because your friend wanted something, so their blood is on her hands because she was the one who orchestrated the event... there are so many deaths that happened because of your friend and most of them could have been prevented."

"There's more that we could add, but that was all that was necessary related to the question you asked."

A look of realization slipped onto her face, "Kol's death, his entire sireline died with him, hundreds of vampires died because Elena wanted the cure."

"that's correct, Bonnie..." The Bennett witch then started thinking about everything that had happened over the years.
