The silence frightens me
The silence scares me
I can't hear anything
At least, not completely

I still hear the screams
Also the shouts
I live in this kind of
World somehow

So I take advantage of my deafness
'Cause for once
I don't have to hear the unkindess

But I don't want this to be permanent
I just want to change the environment
To make the future more imminent
