the glass figurine stands again
finally feeling confident
she had nothing to feign
she finally said what she meant

but all of a sudden
her sight begins to darken
and now she's back here
only feeling pain and fear

you hear the sound
the sound of shattering glass
smashed to the ground
yet she chooses to hide behind a mask

the glass shatters
piercing her heart
it feels pounds and batters
her heart breaks apart
but she somehow pulls it back together
so even if she's feeling under the weather

deep down, she bleeds deeply
even if she smiles weakly.
