"What else were we supposed to do with them? We googled it, you can't flush ashes down a toilet. It would fuck the toilet!"
Noah just stands in front of Aurelia and Sebastian with an entirely unimpressed look on his face and Aurelia glances at her brother, hoping he would say something to make Noah stop looking at them like that. Literally anything.
But no. God forbid he be helpful and contribute to the conversation. That would be too easy.
"You cannot empty your father's ashes down a storm drain." Noah says after a moment of silence.
"Well, what would you suggest we do with them? We're not keeping them." Aurelia says.
"Yeah, even if it was a bitch transporting them here from England." Sebastian says.
"Especially because it was a bitch transporting them here from England. We've already exerted too much effort in regard to Richard's death." Aurelia chimes in and Sebastian hums.
"Just throw them away." Noah says and Aurelia frowns. "Why are you frowning? That is what normal people do when they have ashes they don't want."
"But it just doesn't have the same effect as discarding them down a random storm drain on the way back into town, you know?" Aurelia says and Sebastian snorts in amusement, glancing down at his feet.
"Aurelia, you cannot do this. Take them home, throw them away." Noah says.
"We already emptied half of them anyway! What's the harm in throwing the other half down too?" She argues, gesturing at the storm drain.
"Aurelia, take them home." Noah repeats and the witch exhales impatiently, clicking her tongue.
"Bus station bathroom?"
"Home."
"Tell you what, I'll throw them away." Sebastian says.
"In a trash can or dumpster." Noah clarifies.
"Yes, I got that." He responds and Aurelia huffs.
"This is stupid. How is this any different from scattering them in the ocean?" Aurelia asks.
"Because if you were scattering them in the ocean, you wouldn't be freaking out the people driving by, and I wouldn't be getting fifteen separate phone calls from concerned citizens of Beacon Hills." Noah responds.
"People in this town really need to get a life." Aurelia remarks.
"Go home." Noah says.
"I'm just saying, I don't see the point." Aurelia says.
"Aurelia, don't make me say it again." Noah says and she rolls her eyes at him.
"Okay, come on. Let's go." Sebastian says, gently grabbing his sister's arms to steer her back towards the car.
"This is stupid." She grumbles.
"I know. Get in the car." Sebastian responds and she rolls her eyes again as he opens the driver's side door before climbinginto the car.
