Y/N's pov

I arrived in front of the cafe shop. Should I go in? I wondered to myself.

"May I help you?" a voice startled me. However, that voice is felt so close, so nostalgic.

"Umm...No, I'm fine. Long time no see, Souji-kun." I exclaimed. The person looked shocked, eyes widened.

"How do you know my name?" he asked me. I tilted my head looking at him.

"Don't you remember me?" I asked. He squinted his eyes, scanning me up and down.

"Y/N?" He finally asked.

"The one and only." I giggled, seeing his surprised face. He ran in and hugged me. I hugged back.

"When did you get back?" He asked as he pulled away.

"Today. I wanted to surprise you. Your father says you usually come here, so I decided to see if you were here." I explained to him.

"Why didn't you call me or mail me for these past years?" he stated. I looked at him solemnly.

"Gomen. I was just busy. Should we go in?" I asked him. He nodded. He invited me in first and followed in after.

Souji's POV

She's hiding something. I just know it. I stated to myself. I didn't know what to do to help her, but I'll let time decide.

"Souji-kun, who is this?" a voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked up. Of course it was Amy.

"Oh. This is my childhood friend, Y/N. She just returned from (a country)." I introduced.

"Y/N, this is Amy. She is a college student, who is working here." I turned to her. Y/N politely bowed to Amy and say hi.

"Nice to meet you Amy-san." and she smiled. That signature smile she always gave me whenever we greeted each other. That signature smile that could brighten up anybody's days.

"A table for two please." I added. Amy just nodded and guided us to our tables.

"Your usual, Souji-kun?" Amy asked me. I nodded.

"How about you, Y/N-chan?" Amy asked.

"Can I have cream soda?" Y/N stated.

"Oooh. Same as Souji-kun I see. No wonder you guys are childhood friends." Amy teased. Y/N slightly blushed as well as me.

"Your orders are coming right up. Now if you excuse me." Amy stated before leaving.

"So how's your life going?" Y/N turned her attention to me and asked.

"Umm...Well...I'm still doing sword practice with my father daily. I participated in competitions at school. And well..." I stuttered.

"Is there something wrong, Sou-chan?" she asked, using our childhood's nickname.

Y/N's POV

He's hiding something. His eyes show it all.

"Well...I kinda had a girlfriend now." he finished his sentence. It hit me hard. I never thought he had a girlfriend. It made me kind of sad that I'm no longer his number one. It made me feel jealous and heartbroken.

"Really?" I gulped.

"Congrats! Why didn't tell me sooner?" I joked around to soften my expression. Inside, I felt as if my surprise trip plan had shattered into pieces.

"Gomen. I didn't know how to tell you." he apologized. Our drinks finally came and we both took a sip before continued.

"So, who's the lucky girl? Was it Amy?" I asked him, with burning curiosity. I wanted to know who was the one that stole his heart.

"It's one of my classmates. You know her too. You remember Rin?" he told me.

Rin? That girl. The one who was always trying to kick me out to hang out with Sou-chan. I stated in my thoughts.

"Of course. I remembered her." I stated, pretending to be as cheerful as possible. I continued to sip my drinks as I felt his gaze on me.

"So how about you, N/N? How was your life in (a country)?" he asked me. I coughed by the sudden questions.

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly, handing me a tissue paper.

"I'm fine. Thanks." I said, grabbing the tissue from him.

"So I'm waiting.." he teased. I looked at him hesitated.

"Well...it's good...I mean I got..." but I was interrupted.

"Oh My! Souji! Who are you sitting with? Are you cheating on Rin?" a voice called out from behind me. I turned around, seeing Souji waving to the person.

"Of course not, Ian. This is my childhood friend, Y/N." he explained. I politely nod my head to him and he waved back.

"Hi, my name is Ian. Nice to meet you, Y/N!" He stated in a flirty voice and handing me a daisy. I blushed at his action but still grabbed the flower.

"Arigato. Nice to meet you too, Ian-san!" I stated. Souji looked annoyed.

"I'm warning you. She's not one of your toys, Ian." Souji threatened.

"Oh my. Protective Souji. Never seen that before." Ian teased as he scooted in the seat next to Souji.

"Why you..." Souji stated. I chuckled at the two.

And they both looked at me.

"Gomen." I immediately apologized seeing their gaze.

"No, it's fine. Your smile is very pretty." Ian complimented but got stomped on the foot by Souji under the table.

"Ouch!" He yelped.

"He's right though. You haven't laughed since we got here. You should smile and laugh more often." Souji suggested. I shrugged.

"So what were you guys talking about?" Ian asked.

"N/N was about to tell me about her story in (a country). Then you came and interrupted in our conversation IAN." Souji emphasized. I laughed.

"It's fine, Ian-san. You don't have to worry. Sou-chan was just pissed because he's been asking me even before we entered the cafe." I explained.

"Sou-chan?" Ian asked.

"Yeh. Sou-chan. That's my nickname for him." I stated.

"You guys look like lovebirds. Even Rin didn't even give him any nicknames. Or she does but he doesn't like nicknames. So she just called him Souji." Ian exposed.

I was surprised. Souji-kun didn't like nicknames? It was shocking to hear that since he always came up with different nicknames for me when we were playing. I was once again lost in my thoughts not noticing Souji punching Ian for exposing him.

"Y/N"

"N/N"

"Y/N" they both called me. I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Are you feeling okay? We've been calling tons of time?" Ian asked in concern.

"Are you still tired from the plane? How about I take you home?" Souji offered.

"Hmm...I'm fine. Maybe just a little tired." I lied. Souji stood up from his seat and went by my side.

"Let's go then." he stated.

"Eh? Where?" I asked.

"I'll take you home. You're staying at my house, right?" he asked. I just nodded.

"Oh my...staying in the same house." Ian once again teased us.

"IAN!" we both yelled at the same time and looked at each other while Ian laughed at us.

"Gomen. Gomen. I won't tease you guys anymore. Souji takes her home. Maybe tomorrow, we'll introduce you to our whole gang, ne, Name-chan." Ian waved goodbye and left.

Souji glared at him for the nickname he just gave me. I chuckled, seeing Souji being jealous was quite cute.

"Let's go." he turned back to me. I nodded. He helped me out of my seat and paid for our drinks before we headed out.

Sou-chan, arigato.

So what do you guys think? Do you guys like the first chapter? I've been writing a different story plots for each sentai character from the previous polls. Although Keiichiro got most of the votes, my storyline for him needs adjustment, so I went with this. I hope you guys don't mind.

Anyhoo, I can't guarantee this story will end as a happy ending like the last one. Maybe it might...maybe it won't. So stay tuned and stay safe!

Til' next time.

Adieu~~~
