Chapter 15
Y/n's POV
After dinner, the soothing sound of rain against the windowpanes filled the room. I sat at the dining table, gently feeding Haneul while Yeonjun sat beside me, his presence bringing a sense of warmth and comfort.
Y/n: "I think you should stay here tonight."
Yeonjun: "Why?"
Y/n: "The rain is pouring down so heavily, and I can't bear the thought of you driving in this weather."
Yeonjun hesitated, concern etched on his face, before finally conceding, "Alright, if you insist."
As I continued to feed our daughter, I couldn't help but steal glances at Yeonjun, grateful for his presence during this stormy night.
After carefully feeding and burping Haneul, I held her close, gently swaying her to sleep. The sound of her soft breathing filled the room as she drifted into slumber. Placing her gently in the center of the bed, I turned to change into my pajamas, feeling a sense of contentment with my little family.
Yeonjun: "Where's my pajamas?"
Y/n: "I left them over there," I replied, tossing them to him. He caught them gracefully, and as he changed, I couldn't help but smile at the sight of us preparing for a peaceful night together.
As the morning alarm rudely disrupted the tranquility, I groggily swiped it off, longing for a few more moments of rest.
A soft click of a camera's shutter caught my attention, but I chose to ignore it, yearning for more sleep.
However, a gentle shake from Jisoo unnie pulled me back to reality.
Y/n: "Good morning, unnie."
Jisoo: "Good morning."
Y/n: "What time is it, unnie?"
Jisoo: "It's 6:55."
Y/n: "Oh, thank you for waking me up."
As Jisoo unnie left the room, I reluctantly left the warmth of my bed and headed to the restroom, longing for a few more minutes of sleep.
After completing my morning routine, I returned to the room to wake up Yeonjun.
Y/n: "Wake up, Yeonjun. It's time."
Yeonjun: "Just five more minutes."
Y/n: "Yeonjun..."
With a sigh, he finally roused from his slumber, and as he headed to the restroom, I couldn't help but feel a rush of love for my little family.
Jisoo's POV
Waiting downstairs for Y/n to join us had become a daily routine. However, this morning was different; Y/n was taking longer than usual.
Concerned, I knocked on her bedroom door, but there was no response. I knocked again, harder this time, but still, there was silence.
Determined, I entered the room and found them both sleeping peacefully, their bond as a family evident in the tender moment they shared.
I couldn't resist capturing the moment with a photo.
Gently waking Y/n up, I couldn't help but smile at her, marveling at her unwavering dedication to her family.
Y/n: "Good morning, unnie."
Jisoo: "Good morning."
Y/n: "What time is it, unnie?"
Jisoo: "It's 6:55."
Y/n: "Oh, thank you for waking me up."
As she left for the restroom, I couldn't help but admire her as a loving mother and caring partner.
After helping Yeonjun get dressed, I couldn't help but notice the matching outfits we unintentionally wore. It brought a smile to my face, and I playfully teased him.
Y/n: "Look at us, matching outfits."
Yeonjun: "It was just a coincidence."
But there was a playful spark in his eyes, hinting that he didn't mind our unplanned coordination. We wrapped ourselves in our coats and prepared to leave for the day.
I cradled Haneul in my arms, and as we descended the stairs, I noticed everyone gathered at the dining table, enjoying breakfast. While Yeonjun played with our daughter, I joined in, feeding him bites of food between tending to Haneul.
Y/n: "Mom, can you look after Haneul today?"
Mrs. Park: "As much as I want to, I have a meeting to attend."
Y/n: "Oh, okay. I'll drop her off at home on my way."
Jimin: "What home ? Isn't this is your home."
Mrs. Park: "No, Jimin. Yeonjun's home is her home. She only calls it 'home.'"
Y/n: "Alright, Mom, we're leaving. Bye."
Mr. Kim: "Wait, Yn."
Y/n: "Yes, Mr. Kim?"
Mr. Kim: "Can I hold Haneul?"
Yeonjun: "Of course, Mr. Kim."
As Mr. Kim held Haneul in his arms, her giggles filled the room. It was unusual because she typically reserved her laughter for family members. Mr. Kim seemed pleasantly surprised.
Mr. Kim: "Unlike other kids, she's not crying or shouting."
Y/n: "I guess really likes you, Mr. Kim."
Mr. Kim: "That's wonderful to hear."
We left in Yeonjun's car, and as we approached our destination, we encountered a group of excited girls.
They had surrounded the car, thinking only Yeonjun was inside. When he opened the door, their screams filled the air, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes playfully.
Kai: "Oh, matching outfits, #couplegoals."
Y/n: "Shut up, it was a coincidence."
Soobin: "Okay, time for classes now. They're about to start."
As the day progressed, we reached lunchtime, and I noticed something unusual at the cafeteria.
All my friends were sitting at our usual table, but there were six meals set out.
Soobin: "Oh, you came. Sit down."
Y/n: "Why haven't you started eating?"
Kai: "We were waiting for you, nonna."
Y/n: "Really? That's nice of you all."
I kissed each of them on the forehead and saved Yeonjun for last, leaning in to whisper to him.
Y/n: "Don't be jealous; I'm all yours."
He smiled warmly, and we began our meal. Afterward, I had an economics class to attend.
Y/n's POV
After the lunch break, it was time for my gym class, and I couldn't help but feel proud of the design of our state-of-the-art gym facilities. Each room served a specific purpose, catering to various sporting activities.
I decided to head to the weightlifting room, even though it was typically dominated by male students. As I entered, I could feel the eyes of the boys on me, some surprised and others judgmental.
A voice behind me taunted, "Weak."
But our gym instructor, Mr. Lean, arrived, and all eyes turned toward him.
Mr. Lean: "Who's ready for a weightlifting competition?"
Jungkook eagerly raised his hand, and I nudged Yeonjun, quietly asking if he would participate.
Y/n: "Are you going to join?"
Yeonjun: "Not today. Are you going in?"
Y/n: "Yes, I am."
Seeing no other hands raised, I raised mine, though I was positioned at the back of the room and went unnoticed for a moment.
Mr. Lean: "Oh, the new girl."
Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I could feel their judgmental stares. I shrugged off their skepticism and joined Jungkook at the front.
Mr. Lean: "Let's start with 50 kg."
Jungkook and I lifted the weight with ease, and I could sense the boys' astonishment.
Mr. Lean: "Alright, 100 kg."
Again, Jungkook and I lifted it effortlessly.
Mr. Lean: "Wow, okay, 150 kg."
We lifted it once more, leaving the boys in disbelief. I could hear hushed whispers about how no one ever survive level; she's going to lose."
But we defied expectations and lifted it together, even though I saw Jungkook's arms trembling.
Mr. Lean: "250 kg."
I lifted it without a problem, but Jungkook began to struggle, his strength waning.
Jungkook: "I'm done, I'm done..."
Two boys rushed over to help him, and Yeonjun stepped in to assist me.
Mr. Lean: "Y/n wins. Well, Yn, I'm really impressed."
Y/n: "Glad to hear it."
Me and the brothers shared a handshake, and I felt a surge of pride in my abilities. It was a small victory that held a special place in my heart.
Then, it was time for P.E.T., and we moved to the basketball court.
However, an unexpected incident occurred during the game that would shake us all.
As we transitioned to P.E.T., Mr. McLean, our instructor, announced that we would be playing basketball. Groans filled the air as some of the girls expressed their dissatisfaction with the choice of sport.
Mr. McLean: "No changing decisions, everyone. Today, girls vs. girls, and boys vs. boys. Remember, we're choosing team captains, and being a captain means you'll be head cheerleader and have the privilege of picking your team."
Excitement and whispers rippled through the girls. I noticed Rose, Lisa, and Mamamoo huddled together, and I couldn't resist asking what they were discussing.
Y/n: "What's going on?"
Lisa: "Yn, I saw you in the gym class. You're so strong."
Solar: "Yeah, we were wondering if you could help us."
Y/n: "Of course, I'd love to help. Do you all know the basics of dribbling and passing?"
Hwasa: "We know the basics."
Y/n: "Great. Whenever I give instructions, just follow along."
Wheenie: "We trust you."
With a newfound determination, we continued with our classes. After the game, Lisa couldn't contain her excitement.
Lisa: "Yes, yes, we won!"
She jumped into my arms, her enthusiasm contagious.
Hwasa: "One of the best decisions I made was trusting you."
Mr. McLean: "So, what's your team name?"
Y/n: "Triple Shots."
Lisa: "Yeah, Triple Shots."
Mr. McLean: "Now, who's going to be the captain?"
Mamamoo & Lisa, Rose: "Y/N!"
Mr. McLean: "Best decision. So, everyone, the Triple shots win, and the captain of the Golden Girls and cheerleaders group is Y/n."
I glanced at Yeonjun and noticed TXT smirking while Emily's team seethed with jealousy and anger. It was a sweet victory that brought a smile to my face.
As the day progressed, our gym class transitioned to the boys' basketball game. Mr. McLean, our instructor, enthusiastically urged the boys to get started.
Mr. McLean: "Okay, now boys, start."
I nodded at TXT, and they flashed me reassuring smiles before taking their positions on the court. It didn't take long for me to notice the opposing team's captain, a young man who seemed to harbor an intense jealousy towards Yeonjun. His glare remained fixed on him, intensifying as Yeonjun scored basket after basket, dominating the game.
Yeonjun was on the brink of another spectacular move when the opposing team's captain, driven by anger, charged toward him. With a violent shove, he sent Yeonjun crashing into a steel rod, the impact causing a deep gash on his head. Yeonjun fainted, and panic filled the court.
Y/n: "Yeonjun, Yeonjun!"
Soobin: "Yeonjun!"
My instinct drove me to Yeonjun's side immediately, and my heart sank at the sight of his bleeding head. Fear and concern washed over me, but I knew I needed to act quickly.
Y/n: "Take him to the infirmary."
TXT rushed to help Yeonjun, carrying him gently to the infirmary while I faced the boy who had caused this harm. Anger surged within me, and I confronted him with a fierce grip on his collar.
Y/n: "If anything happens to him, you will face the consequences."
With a final warning, I left for the infirmary, leaving the boy with the weight of his actions.
Y/n's POV
Despite the tumultuous situation, I remained composed as I addressed TXT, who were waiting outside the infirmary with concern etched on their faces.
Y/n: "Continue your classes, I will take care of him."
Kai: "Okay, nonna, if he wakes up, text us."
Y/n: "Mmm."
With their understanding and trust in me, I turned my attention back to Yeonjun. I entered the room and, to my dismay, noticed the nurse attempting to touch him inappropriately.
Y/n: "Get out."
Nurse: "What are you talking about? I need to treat him."
Y/n: "I can handle it. Now, get out."
My voice was firm and unwavering as I demanded her departure. The nurse, startled and fearful, quickly left the room, leaving us in privacy.
Turning back to Yeonjun, I couldn't help but notice the small smile that played on his lips.
Y/n: "Don't smile."
Yeonjun: "I can't stop."
My concern for his well-being mingled with a hint of amusement as I instructed him to remove his shirt. He complied, allowing me to begin treating his injuries.
