One

First Year,
Gryffindors For Sure

Wanting a few extra minutes in bed, he pulled his covers over his head, wishing his large family would keep the voice down. Usually, he would be a part of that noise however in the morning time, he desired extra sleep, he expected his brother to come and wake him, though he never did. Instead, a faint knock was heard on his door.

It couldn't be Kreacher, or his father or his mother, he stayed under the covers hoping they would leave if they believed he was asleep. Then he heard her, whispering his name for him to wake up, he smiled as he threw the covers off him scaring her.

"That's not funny Carden," his younger sister said, turning away from him,

"Sorry, Rissy, what did you want?"

"I'm going to tell Hadrian too, but if you're in a different house will be please tell me what it's like inside,"

"The only house left is Slytherin, there's no way we're in Slytherin, we're too much like dad,"

"You look like dad, but Hadrian is more like uncle Reg,"

"Your point being?" he questioned, throwing his shirt over his head,

"He might in Slytherin like him,"

"He won't be okay, he's going to be in Gryffindor with me and Harry," he smiled at her, "now leave so I can get dressed,"

As he came downstairs Larissa was already telling Hadrian what she had just told him, she had said it to each and every one who went to Hogwarts before her. To their cousins Ethan and Laura, and their older sisters Rhea and Phoebe.

She had received a letter, telling her what Gryffindor dormitory was like from Rhea and Ethan, what Hufflepuff was like from Laura and what Ravenclaw was like from Phoebe. The only house left was Slytherin, he looked at his brother hoping that they would be together, two brothers had never been apart.

"I'm sure whichever house he's in, he'll tell you about it," he heard his mother say, placing her hands on Hadrian's shoulder. "Won't you?"

"Yes, mum,"

"We're going stay together I can feel it," he mumbled with a mouth full of his breakfast

"I expect you two to stay together, cause Merlin knows you're never apart," Sirius said, laughing with Ethan as he knew the brothers were practically glued to each other.

"Salazar's sake look at the time, Sirius, we're going to be late," his mother complained as though it was his fault they were running late

"Why is that my fault,"

"You were supposed to keep an eye on the time, must I do everything-

"You never specified we had to leave at a certain time,"

"Fine you can explain to Lily and James why we're late, everyone chop, chop, hurry up," Aimee clapped her hands as she ushered the children out the door.

As they arrived at King's Cross Station, Sirius placed his hand on his shoulder running through the barrier with him. He looked all around him, quickly leaving his family to join the Potters, their daughter Mia ran straight past him most likely to his younger cousin Max.

"Excited for Hogwarts," Lily asked, he nodded signalling for Harry to leave.

"Wait just a minute," Sirius said, holding on to their jumpers, "Aimee Darling, Lily, James and I would like a quiet word with our sons, more of a disciplinary talk," they waited for their wives to leave them to talk.

"Right you boys remembered the passageways we told you about," James said, Harry and Carden smirked,

"Yes,"

"And the corridors where Mr Filch didn't usually bother checking," Sirius spoke.

"Yes,"

"And Snape," James said having warned the boys about his disdain for them and their pranks from their school days.

"Yes,"

"Alright, just one more thing," Sirius said, flicking his eyes to their wives, "if you get caught, James and I had nothing to do with it," the two boys laughed,

"What are you scared of Mum," Harry mocked them

"Not your mother, Aimee, I've seen her get angry, it's not a pretty sight," James said, receiving a warning look from Sirius,

"Go on, and remember, we had nothing to do with it,"

The two boys laughed as they boarded the train, Carden realised once he saw his mother waving to him that he hadn't said goodbye to her. She would have most likely warned him to behave, and that she didn't want any letters coming home from professor McGonagall.

"Phoebe!" he called as his sister walked past his compartment,

"Carden Evan Black, for the last time, I don't know what house you're going to be in," he stood wide-eyed at his calmer sister the one that rarely lost her temper she took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, it's just you have been bugging me every day since you got your letter, I am not a walking crystal ball,"

"I was just wondering if you'd seen Hades,"

"Oh yeah, he's further down there," she walked away, he did feel bad for causing her so much stress he was just positive that she might have seen something. He sat down with Harry they both waited for Hadrian to walk by.

"Hades, we've been waiting for you," Carden said patting the space next to him, his brother looked between them both.

"You both look so creepy just waiting for me,"

"Come on, it'll be great we'll all be together in Gryffindor for sure," Harry said, throwing his arms over the two brothers, they waved at their parents as the Hogwarts Express left King's Cross Station.
