Sera had been at the Salvatore School for two days and things were going pretty smoothly so far, she had bonded more with Hope, the tribrid was probably who she was closest to at the school.

She had gotten to know the twins more as well, but wasn't as close to them, see Sera had a mistrust of witches with Amelie being an exception since she raised her, her mistrust of witches originated from Cassandra, causing the death of her best friend, her brother in all but blood Sebastian, but we will talk more about that later.

The vampire was currently on her way to Dr. Saltzman's office as he had called for her. She knocked on the door once she arrived. "Come in." Dr. Saltzman said.

Sera walked into the office, "You wanted to see me, Dr. Saltzman?"

The man smiled at the vampire, "Yes, Sera, please have a seat." the vampire took a seat opposite the headmaster.

"What is it?"

"Alright so, I've asked around about your friend Amelie, and one of my contacts has gotten back to me and said they found a girl matching the description of her that you gave me, living on the outskirts of Portland."

Sera blew out a breath, "and you're sure that it's her?"

He slid the tablet in front of him across the desk with a photo of the girl in Portland. "You tell me, this is a photo that my contact took of the girl he found in Portland."

Sera stared at the photo and her eyes teared up seeing her and immediately she knew that it was Amelie. "Oh my god... that's her, it's Amelie, that necklace that she's wearing is something that Konner and I gave her, so I would recognize that anywhere."

Alaric nodded at the vampire, "Okay, would you like me to have her brought here?"

"Yes, please but tell her about me first, she will be more willing to come, if she knows that I'm here."

Alaric nodded at her, "All right, I'll make the call and then when they arrive I'll call for you again."

"Okay, thank you, Dr. Saltzman." she got up and left the room. Sera smiled she was happy that Amelie was alive, and that she would be seeing her adoptive daughter again soon.

Sera found Hope training again and decided to join her so she ran back to her room and changed into more work-out-appropriate clothes and then went back out to where the tribrid was still training, she smiled at the girl, "Want a sparing partner Hope?"

The tribrid smiled at the older vampire, "Sure." and the two started sparring, Hope liked sparing with Sera more than Alaric because the vampire could keep up with her easier than the human man could and push her more.

The two girls sparred for a few hours before calling it a day, Sera headed back to her room and took a shower, after the sparing session and then she decided to chill out in her room for a bit.

It was probably two hours later, when Alaric had called Sera and told her that his friend would be there with Amelie in a few minutes. So she made her way to the front of the school which is where she was told to meet him.

The older vampire couldn't wipe the smile on her face as she stood next to the headmaster waiting for the car to arrive.

The vampire was bouncing on her feet as she saw the black SUV pull up the driveway, as soon as the car stopped the younger girl was out of the car and had her arms wrapped around the only mother figure that she ever had.

Sera hugged the girl back, just as tightly, mindful not to hurt the girl, "Amelie..."

"Mom." the younger girl had tears in her eyes, she was happy that Sera was finally awake, the spell that she had used didn't have a reversal since it had to run its course, she of course didn't know it would be so long. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay Amelie," she didn't think that the girl had any reason to apologize, as the younger girl had just wanted to protect her. "You don't need to apologize."

"I just didn't know how long the spell was going to last, I thought maybe a few months at the most just until things died down with the founders and the vampires."

"I know Mel, I know." a few minutes later the two girls were in Sera's room, "all right now we can actually catch up now."

Amelie smiled at the woman, "Of course Mom, I missed you, though, Dad and I have tried everything to find a way to reverse the spell but always came up empty... though he still hasn't given up, he's actually on his way to a meeting with a coven of witches right now to see if they have a solution and will be out of range to call him, but as soon as I know that I can get in contact with him I will and tell him that you're awake... I didn't give up either I was merely feeding Dad the information of where to find the covens and setting up the meetings for them instead of going with him, like I did at first."

Sera just smiled at that information.

The two girls spent the rest of the day just catching up, Sera even introduced Mel to Hope, and the two got along almost immediately which Sera honestly expected.

I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter :) in the next chapter, we get the official introduction of Konner into the story, Hope and Mel are going to be best friends, and I'm gonna love writing their friendship as well as the interactions between Sera and Konner.

They are going to be such a power couple, also in time Sera will get closer to the twins as well and yes Sebastian is her best friend, a little lore drop for this story XD Sera turned Sebastian into a vampire, she found him almost dead and decided to save his life and from that moment they were best friends, he was like a brother to her.

His 'death' was hard on her and she nearly turned it off at one point, it was during that time that she met Konner and he helped her through it, convincing her not to turn it off, and that was how they fell in love... so yeah just a lore dump there XD.
