        I see her. She is sitting on the bench, gazing at the ground. 

        I cannot help but smile. Her short blue dress suits her so well. It is adorned with daisies. White daisies. They're pretty.

        She is pretty. She is so beautiful.

        I walk over to her, and as she notices me she gets up. "Hyunjin," she says. 

        I smile. "Serene. Bonjour," I say back, and my heart begins to race. 

        No. I thought I moved on this month, but no. I still like her. I still love her. I still do, don't I? 

        "Bonjour." she giggles, but something is wrong. I ignore it.

        "You look... beautiful," I say, but I regret it instantly. 

        She has a boyfriend, I remind myself. She has a boyfriend and she does not like you, I say to myself again. 

        "Merci, Hyunjin. How are you?" She smiles at me, but still, there is something off. 

        "I am well. How about you?" We sit down on the bench. She sighs. 

        What is wrong?

        "I could be better, but I am doing fine, so you do not have to worry." She continues to smile. Her gaze falls to the ground again. Silence fills the space between us. I tell myself it is not awkward, but in reality, it is. 

        She looks at me, and then she looks down again. She wants to say something. She is struggling to say something.

        I inhale sharply, and just as I am about to ask her what could be wrong, she begins to cry. Serene is crying. 

        I do not know how to react.
