Ariana sat at one of the study tables in the library, Mina and Kira beside her. The quiet hum of the room was soothing, with only the soft turning of pages and the occasional whispered conversation filling the space. They had gathered here to learn more about the weapons and their auras, specifically how their names played a role in the strength of their power.

Kira, always the one with the most knowledge, leaned forward, her fingers flipping through the pages of an old book. "You see," she began, "the names of weapons often reflect their connection to their element or nature. It's not just a coincidence. They influence the aura that the weapon gives off."

Mina, sitting next to Ariana, nodded thoughtfully. "So, like, Solis, for example—his name comes from the sun, right?"

Ariana looked up at Kira, who gave a soft smile and nodded. "Exactly. Solis draws power from the solar system itself. That's why I can manipulate the earth when she's synchronized with him." Kira's tone held a certain pride, and the bond she shared with her weapon was clear. "It's like an anchor to the source of their energy."

Ariana's mind began to spin as the pieces of the puzzle started to fit together. "So... names and elements are connected. That means... a weapon's name can tell you a lot about them."

Kira grinned, clearly pleased with Ariana's realization. "Exactly. The aura is shaped by the nature of their power and what their name symbolizes. For example, a weapon named after a storm might have an aura that's unpredictable and chaotic. But the name can also ground them, help them focus the power that's inherent to them."

Mina piped up, her fingers twirling a pen. "I've noticed something with Scraps. Sometimes, when he's in his weapon form, he attracts metal. It's like it has an automatic pull toward him. I guess his name... it doesn't just symbolize his origins, but it might be linked to something that draws metal to him."

Ariana leaned forward, intrigued. "That's crazy. I've seen it happen too. I thought it was just something random."

Mina shrugged, her usual mischievous smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "It's not just a fluke. His name is his power, just like the rest of us."

Ariana nodded, mulling over the information. "So... Day. I've never gotten him completely hot when I've used him. He heats up, but never to the extreme that I've seen with other weapons. But his name—Day—it could be connected to the sun, right?" She furrowed her brow, trying to piece together the missing part. "Maybe that's why he doesn't get as hot as I expect. Maybe his power is more... controlled. The sun has warmth, but it's not always as intense, especially during certain times of the day."

Kira gave a thoughtful hum. "That makes sense. The sun, in its various forms—morning, afternoon, dusk—has different intensities. Day could have a more moderate form of heat, one that doesn't burn out of control but still packs a punch when it needs to."

Ariana felt a surge of understanding floods through her. It was all so clear now. The names. The elements. The connection between them. Day's name—derived from the sun—wasn't just a coincidence. It was a part of who he was, a part of what made him powerful.

"But," Ariana said slowly, "what about me? What about my name?" She glanced at Kira and Mina. "Do you think my name affects my aura?"

Mina shrugged, tapping her pen against the table. "I don't think so. Meisters don't have a personal aura like weapons do. Our power comes from the connection to our weapons, not from our names. But I guess the way we resonate with them is part of what shapes us." She glanced at Kira, who nodded in agreement.

Kira smiled gently. "Exactly. As meisters, our auras are a reflection of the bond we share with our weapons, not our names. You don't need to worry about how your name affects your power, Ariana. It's your relationship with Day that matters."

As the conversation drifted to other topics, Ariana found herself lost in thought, her mind full of the new insights she had gained about the weapons' names and how they shaped their abilities

The three girls leaned in closer, their attention still focused on the subject at hand, but now the conversation had shifted. Kira set down her book, a thoughtful expression crossing her face as she turned to Ariana and Mina.

"So, the next topic that's come up in Madame Verlaine's class is a big one," Kira said, her voice carrying the weight of experience. "It's about learning to change your weapon into different forms."

Mina raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Wait, change our weapons into different weapons? Like... transform them?"

Kira nodded, her eyes gleaming with both pride and a hint of frustration. "Exactly. It's a key skill for us as meisters. You know how each weapon has their default form, right? But there are some situations where you need your weapon to be something else—something more suited to the moment. But it's not easy."

Ariana leaned forward, clearly intrigued. "How hard is it?"

Kira's smile faded a little, her tone turning a bit more reflective. "At first, it was incredibly difficult for me. Solis... he's always been my giant hammer. I couldn't see him as anything else for the longest time. I didn't have the mental connection with him to see him as something more versatile." She paused, as though remembering the struggle. "It took a lot of work, a lot of focus, and most importantly, trust in him. But now, after all that effort, I can change him into a sword, and even a gun if I need to."

Ariana's eyes widened. "A sword and a gun? That's... incredible."

Mina, though she had a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth, seemed genuinely impressed. "I bet that gives you a huge advantage. Being able to change your weapon at will? That's pretty damn cool."

Kira shrugged modestly. "It wasn't easy. In the beginning, I could barely manage the transformation. Sometimes, Solis and I couldn't even sync up enough for me to feel him properly in the new form. But over time, we figured it out. It's all about trust and knowing your weapon inside and out."

Ariana turned the idea over in her mind, feeling a mix of excitement and uncertainty. Could she do the same with Day? She knew she had a strong bond with him, but she had never thought about changing his form. Could she really imagine him as something other than a battle axe?

Mina caught the look in her eyes and smirked. "Thinking about it already, huh?"

Ariana nodded slowly. "I am. But... I don't know if I could do it like you did with Solis. I've never tried changing Day's form."

Kira gave a knowing look. "It's going to take time, but I'm sure you can. It's all about seeing your weapon for what they truly are. Once you get to that point, anything's possible. Just don't rush it, Ariana. It's not an overnight thing. It's a process."

Mina, who had been listening intently, leaned back in her chair. "That's gonna be interesting. Our next assignment is going to be tough. Changing our weapons into different forms while still maintaining the connection with them? It's a lot to take in."

Ariana glanced over at Kira. "How did Solis react when you first tried changing him?"

Kira smiled softly, a little wistful. "At first, he didn't want to. He was resistant, like... he was stubborn, I guess. He was so used to his form as a giant hammer that it felt unnatural to change. But once we worked through that—when I understood his thoughts better—it became easier. We've grown so much since then."

Ariana felt a spark of hope ignite within her. Maybe with time and effort, she could learn to see Day in different forms, just as Kira had learned to see Solis in new ways. She glanced at Mina, who was lost in thought, no doubt considering her own weapon's transformation potential.

"Alright," Ariana said, her tone a little firmer now. "We're going to do this, right? We'll figure out how to change our weapons and make them even more powerful."

Mina grinned, nudging Ariana with her elbow. "You bet. I'm not backing down from this challenge."

Kira chuckled, the sound light and encouraging. "That's the spirit. It's not an easy path, but it's one that'll make you stronger in the end."

Ariana stretched as she stood up from the desk, the stiff tension in her muscles easing slightly. "I'm heading back to my dorm," she told Mina and Kira, offering them a small smile before turning to head out of the library. The cool air greeted her as she made her way through the hallway, the sounds of her footsteps echoing softly in the empty space.

Her mind, however, was occupied with more than just the quiet surroundings. She kept replaying Kira's words about transforming weapons, thinking about how she might do the same with Day. It wasn't something she had ever really considered—Day had always been her battle axe, the weapon form she had come to rely on in combat. But the idea of changing him into something else, something more versatile, made her heart race with the possibilities.

She reached her dorm room, standing before the door for a moment to gather her thoughts. Taking a deep breath, she pushed it open, stepping inside.

Day was lounging on the bed, his usual spot, eyes glued to his phone. He looked up at the sound of her entrance, his expression softening as he saw her. "Hey," he greeted, tossing the phone aside and shifting to sit up. "How was the library?"

Ariana dropped her bag by the door and made her way over to him, standing beside the bed. "It was good. Kira told us about how she had trouble seeing Solis as anything other than his hammer form at first. She eventually learned to change him into a sword and a gun after a lot of effort and trust." Ariana paused, watching Day's reaction closely. "I think I want to try changing you into something else, Day. Maybe not just a battle axe... something different. I'm not sure what yet, but I was thinking about it all the way back here."

Day looked up at her with a slight tilt of his head, his eyes thoughtful. He knew her well enough to sense that she was serious, and a quiet smile tugged at his lips. "You think you can do it?"

"I don't know," she admitted, her voice tinged with a mixture of uncertainty and excitement. "But I'm willing to try." She glanced at him, her gaze lingering on his familiar form. "We've been through a lot together. Maybe we can grow even more if I can figure this out."

Day leaned back against the headboard, his eyes meeting hers with that soft intensity she had always loved. "I'm ready when you are. I trust you, Ari. Whatever you want to try, I'm with you."

Ariana smiled, feeling the weight of his words sink in. There was no hesitation in his voice—no fear of the unknown. He was always by her side, no matter the challenge. And with that, the idea of transforming Day, of pushing their bond to the next level, didn't feel as impossible as it once had.

"Thanks, Day," she said softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "Let's figure this out together."

He nodded, a grin spreading across his face. "I'm all in."

Ariana sat down next to him on the bed, her mind already working through the possibilities.

Day smiled, his arms suddenly pulling Ariana closer into his embrace. She yelped in surprise, her face flushing slightly at the unexpected closeness. "What's this all about?" she asked, her voice a mix of curiosity and slight annoyance.

Day's grin widened, and he casually leaned back against the bed, still holding her close. "Oh, just wanted to let you know... we have detention tomorrow."

Ariana's eyes shot wide open. "What?!" she snapped, pushing herself up slightly to look at him. "Detention? What did you do?"

Day just shrugged nonchalantly, as if it were no big deal. "You know, the usual—skipped a class, got caught. And of course, I blamed you. So now we both have detention."

Ariana stared at him in disbelief, her hands planted firmly on his chest as she tried to push him off. "Day, are you serious?" she groaned, shaking her head. "Why would you blame me for this?!"

Day only smiled wider, his grip tightening slightly as she attempted to shove him off. "It was your idea to skip, after all. Figured I'd just share the blame." He winked playfully, his expression making it clear he was enjoying her reaction.

She let out a long, exasperated sigh, rubbing her temples. "I can't believe you. Now we're both going to be stuck in detention because of your bad habits."

With a teasing chuckle, Day laid back further on the bed, pulling her down with him. "Hey, I didn't say it was going to be a bad thing. Detention with you doesn't sound so terrible to me."

Ariana squirmed, trying once again to push him off her, but Day wasn't budging. She groaned and rolled her eyes. "You're unbelievable."

Day just laughed softly, his arms still wrapped around her. "Yeah, but you love me anyway.
