Prologue
" Woman aren't humans to me. They are all flesh. Seducers. "
He dangled a cigarette between his lips, aiming rings of smoke at her.
She smirked, while biting her lower lip.
" I see. "
" Dr. Raahi.
You are insanely seductive.
I don't see nothing but your perfect outline now. Brilliantly shaped. I can anyway grab you by the neck and have you under me.
But...... I won't do that. As for now. "
He took a deep breath.
She kept staring, her eyes....that of a dead fish.
" I might marry you even.
I don't really have a problem. But, you... won't be my wife. I will not fulfil any of a husband's duty.
Except for the fact, that I'll have you on bed. Literally, feed upon you and you'll have no choice, even legally.
Accept this, or get going. "
He stared at the distant city, dotted with the night lights.
Raahi inched closer to him. Resting her body against the railing, she examined his face properly.
Droolsome features.
Neat jawline. Perfect nose. Rugged lips. Trimmed moustache. Stubble. Ruffled hair. Mischievous eyes.
Height? 6'2. Probably.
" Don't stare at me. If I stare back, you'll burn. " , he softly uttered.
Raahi smirked again. Then, laughed with sound.
" Women aren't humans to you.
They are bitches. Right? "
He looked into her eyes now.
She did not look away, that was not... her way. Specially, when the eyes before hers, were so magnetic.
" Bitch? Nah.
Dogs are wonderful creatures, I have my heart for them.
Women to me... are......you know....like....the pacifiers you give to the babies. To satisfy, to distract. To suckle.
I don't have my heart for them. "
Raahi scratched her chin. Tilted her head. Watched the sky for a second.
" Let me guess.
Did someone break your heart someday? "
" Seriously?
Do you REALLY think someone can break MY heart? " , he turned properly to her now.
" Of course... someone can.
There's a 7 billion people on earth. Not everyone needs to be attracted to you. "
" Aha!! I see!!
But you're terribly wrong in your judgement, woman. I haven't met all the seven billion, true, but those I've met, hardly had the nerves to break my heart. "
" Almost guessed it though.
A lot of women are driven nuts by your kind.
So, that leaves my witty mind with only one option. "
" Really? And that is? " , he threw the smoke from between his lips, and ran fingers through his hair. His eyes still oozing utter mischief.
Raahi blinked. Pushed the sidelock that came on the way of her eyes, behind the ear.
Then, smirked. Once again.
" You consider women a pile of flesh, probably because you were considered the same, someday.
By a woman.
You have been harrassed, sexually.
Probably as a teenager.
Probably... repeatedly.
And that, has made, all the difference. "
Dr. Vivaan Shergil, lost all the colors adorning his face, abruptly.
Yet, momentarily. He regained soon enough. Both... the colors, and the mischief in his eyes, the eyes that had gone dead pan for a millisecond.
However, he broke the eyelock.
And drifted off to the dotted city again.
Raahi looked away too. She knew the storms that might have arisen in his mind now.
'Might have', because, some people get used to storms over years. They don't blow them away anymore.
Unlike.....
Vivaan was staring at her, once again.
" I am not a liar.
And you have already impressed me beyond my capability.
However, the derivation was almost impossible. How did you..... "
" Your eyes looked familiar. "
" Familiar, in the sense? "
" I see them in the mirror, every morning.
Dead, but, sarcastic. " , Raahi drew a smile this time.
Vivaan now, literally, took some time to observe her eyes. They were unnerving.
They....scared him.
Raahi scratched the railing.
Then uttered once again.
" We should marry. Dr. Vivaan.
Because probably, we need to silence each other's storms, effortlessly enough.
Just by not expecting anything from each other, yet never giving guilt trips to each other when we pleasure with our bodies.
Because, Men are Trash.
To me as well. Nothing, but lumps of flesh.
I was constantly abused for months altogether, by my own uncle. I was ten then. "
She bit her lip, once again.
Vivaan was breathing hard. The open sky above, choked him too.
" We....are perfect....together.
The deadly, heartless, fucking doctor duo.
Think about it. " , Dr. Raahi pulled out a pack of cigarettes from the hind pocket of her jeans.
Their eyes met again.
The city lights suddenly, went out.
_______
Hmm.
Can you take this any further?
ROFL. Do let me know.
