A bright cherry red convertible corvette pulled up in front of the Salvatore Boarding House, the red-haired witch in the driver seat cut the engine off and got out of the car, placing her sunglasses on her head, as she double-checked the address that had been texted to her, once she made sure she had the right place she stepped towards the door, her heels clicking against the pavement.

Her brother hadn't disclosed any of the details on the phone but she did wonder why he was in the Salvatore Boarding House, but the witch shrugged it off and knocked on the door, knowing that he would fill her in once she saw him.

A dark-haired man with blue eyes opened the door and furrowed his brow at the unfamiliar redhead in front of him "who the hell are you?"

She gave him an unimpressed look "okay first, rude and second is Jeremy in there cause this is the address he gave me."

The man was about to just close the door on her only to be stopped by the voice of Jeremy Gilbert "Ada, you actually came." the red-haired witch sidestepped Damon and approached her brother and pulled him into a hug.

"Of course I did Jer, you asked for my help and since it was you, here I am, though you didn't mention what this was about?"

The younger Gilbert smiled as they walked into the living room. Caroline smiled seeing the red-haired witch "Ada!" The blonde walked up and hugged her. Before Caroline, Ada was the 'it' girl of Mystic Falls High and the Forbes girl always looked up to her, Caroline saw Ada as an older sister.

"Hey, Caroline." Ada hugged her back. Ada always liked the blonde, you see the Phoenix witch never let what went on in her home life affect her school life, she always left all the hate and negativity at the door as soon as she exited the house. That way no one would know what happened behind closed doors in the Gilbert Household.

Ada turned back to her brother after pulling away from Caroline, "all right Jer, you called I am here mind elaborating on why since you didn't say on the phone?"

The youngest Gilbert laughed "all right but first introductions are in order, Damon, Stefan, and Alaric meet Adelaide, she is mine and Elena's older sister, and Ada, meet Damon, Stefan, and Alaric." She gave the three of them a three-finger wave as Jeremy looked back at her "and one I really wanted to see you, it has been almost three years and two well we have a bit of a problem that I thought you might help with if you wanted too, I mean you don't have too, I'm not gonna demand it and make you if you don't want to unlike a certain someone would if they were asking."

Jeremy was always closer to Ada than Elena when they were younger and even now. Elena was always jealous of that and it was one of the reasons she couldn't stand her older sister. After their parents died Jeremy completely shut Elena out but at night she could hear him talking to Ada, since their rooms are only separated by a shared bathroom she could often hear parts of the conversations he had with Ada and it infuriated her that Jeremy wouldn't talk to her but he always talked to Ada.

Ada snorted at the shade he was throwing at Elena because it was true if Elena knew about her powers and everything she would demand Ada use them to help her.

"Damon gave her a look and then looked back at baby Gilbert "and exactly how is she going to be any help?" Jeremy winced at the tone Damon used knowing that his sister did not like being undermined and underestimated, then he smirked sitting back to enjoy watching Ada put Damon in his place.

Ada tilted her head to the side as she narrowed her eyes and the raven-haired vampire dropped to his knees screaming because of the aneurysm she was giving him, the Gilbert girl had a smirk on her face as she stopped the witchy migraine she was giving "I'd watch your tone if I were you, Salvatore because you have no idea who you are messing with or what I am capable of... my little sister may be enamored by you and your brother but if you cross me, it will be the worst mistake you ever make." Jeremy smirked at his sister while the others just looked at her stunned "now little brother what are we doing?"

"Well I don't know how much you know about doppelgängers, Ada but our sister has one, her name is Katherine and she is wreaking havoc on our lives and we are planning on killing her at the Masquerade party tonight, so what do you say wanna help us?"

Ada smirks "Oh I know about doppelgängers and I also know that Elena is one, I know Katherine... we're friends I call her Kathy... so no I will not be helping you kill my friend... but good luck with that really you're going to need it, because I guarantee that this will not go the way that you think it will. Kathy and I may be friends but there is no denying that she is an evil, nasty, conniving little bitch. So have fun with your scheming. I have a party to get ready for." She hugged her brother and Caroline again. "Jer, Care we will have to grab lunch and catch up sometime later."

They both agreed and Ada walked towards the door only to turn back smirking at Damon "oh and one more thing just on my way out, Kathy won't even cross me... so that should give you an inkling that it's a bad idea if Katherine 'the myth, the legend, the baddest bitch of all' Pierce won't cross someone, then it means you shouldn't either." Then she turned around and walked out to her car and climbed inside and pulled out of the driveway heading to her house, which was originally her parent's house that she inherited when she turned 18.

A little while later she pulled up to the gate and punched in the code that the security team had sent her, this was definitely a Hawthorne property, she could feel the magic radiating from the ground, just like the Hawthorne mansion in New York which she also inherited when her great grandmother Edith died earlier that year.

The house wasn't a mansion but it was bigger than the average-sized houses on the street,  she had called ahead to have it cleaned and everything stocked so that it was ready to be lived in when she got there, there is also a pool in the back that Ada has scheduled someone to look at and come fix it since it hadn't been used in 19 years.

The Phoenix witch grabbed the bags that she brought with her and unlocked the front door, she sighed stepping into the house.

She took her bags up to the master bedroom which had belonged to her parents before she was born, she sat her stuff down and unpacked putting everything away.

She saw a framed photo of her parents on their wedding day, she smiled while picking it up "I really wish I would have got the chance to meet you guys... great-grandma Edith told me all about you." She sat the photo back on the nightstand.

She decided to explore the rest of the house before getting ready for the Masquerade party.

She found the library quite easily and let her magic guide her to the section that she wanted her mother's grimoires and journals.

She wanted to know more about them and Edith had told her that her mom always kept journals that she would find in the library of their house in Mystic Falls if she ever decided she wanted to go back there.

The Phoenix witch smiled running her fingers along the spines she picked one randomly and opened it reading through it. And she found an entry that caught her eye.

March, 4th

Stephen introduced me to his sister-in-law Jenna today and we really hit it off... I expect that we will be really great friends.

She continued to read the journal until another entry caught her attention.

November 3rd

So I told Jenna the truth today, that I was a witch and she took it really well, far better than I expected, she was really intrigued by everything that I told her. Besides Stephen and Sheila Bennett, Jen is the only other person in town that knows about my magic. She's my best friend now and I didn't want to keep secrets from her and she promised not to tell anyone else.

Ada closed the journal after checking the time and seeing that she had to go get ready for the Masquerade party "hmm interesting Jenna knows wow I didn't expect that." She placed the journal back into its place planning to read through the rest of it later.

Ada headed upstairs to get ready for the party.

Ada showered and got dressed, she knew that this was gonna be interesting and she would love nothing more than to watch the train wreck of a plan that they worked up. 

She was wearing a black dress that was short in the front and longer in the back, dark smokey eye makeup, with red lipstick, a diamond necklace that she found in her mom's jewelry box that was in the closet, some diamond dangle earrings, her hair done up in a cute braided bun and black heels with a small black clutch purse to tie everything together.

The final touch to her outfit was the simple black mask with small diamonds placed randomly around it.

The red-haired witch walked into the Lockwood Mansion a few people looked her way, but Ada walked in with her head held high. She immediately saw Kathrine talking to Matt she could listen in but she didn't feel like it.

She waited until he left to walk up to her friend "hey Kathy."

Katherine smiled at her "Ada, it's nice to see you, I wasn't expecting you to be here." Katherine knew that Ada was powerful, she knew that getting on her bad side was a bad idea which is the very reason she befriended her, it's better to have her on your side than as an enemy not to mention that she hasn't even reached her full potential yet which means that when that happens Ada is gonna be one of the most powerful supernatural creatures out there.

"Well my brother called and requested my presence and since it was my brother here I am, but be careful tonight Kathy, I don't know the exact plan but I will just say be careful... I better go and mingle so as to not raise suspicion since Elena and I not getting along is very public knowledge."

"Of course little red, I'll watch my back, as always it's good to see you." then Ada left the vampire doppelganger to her own devices.

A little while later Jeremy found her and smiled "Ada!"

"Jer!" he hugged her again.

"I am glad you decided to come even if you didn't want to help with the plan." Ada returned the hug.

"yeah well I missed you and Aunt J, so maybe it was time to come home anyway."

"Where are you staying? I haven't seen you at the house."

"I got my own place set up after I talked to you and decided that I was gonna stay in town for a while, I will have to show it to you some time."

"I'd love that Ada." then Jeremy gets signaled for his part of the plan, "I've got to go Ada, but I'll talk to you later."

"Bye, Jer." and with that Ada was left to her own devices.  

After a while Ada got bored of the party and decided that she was gonna go home, get a carton of ice cream and watch Grey's Anatomy... it was after all one of her favorite shows. 

The phoenix witch had just arrived at her car when she noticed Elena, she knew that it wasn't Kathy because she wasn't wearing the dress from earlier, she was about to just ignore her younger sister and get into her car when everything went black.

Finally, chapter one is rewritten luckily I had a few screenshots so certain scenes are exactly the same as before the ones that I particularly liked ie the first couple of paragraphs and Adas little show of putting Damon in his place, but I hope you guys enjoy the chapter (: yes Ada is still going to absolutely ridicule every stupid decision made by Elena and the Salvatores.
